Shodo (Japanse kalligrafie) is de kunst om met penseel en inkt mooie karakters op papier te schrijven. Naast het schrijven van mooie karakters is het ook mogelijk om jezelf uit te drukken via de afbeelding van de kanji. Meester Shoran is een ervaren Shodoka (Japanse kalligraaf) met ervaring in het lesgeven aan duizenden studenten van over de hele wereld. Als Engelssprekende Shodoka begeleidt Shoran je door het proces om je naam in Kanji te schrijven met het Shodo-penseel. Neem een uniek souvenir mee naar huis met je naam geschreven in Kanji op een Japanse boekrol.

The calligraphy is bright, fun, pleasant and wonderful, taught by a wonderful English speaking teacher. You can enjoy a wonderful calligraphy that is truly soothing in this day and age when writing is becoming less common.

The Japanese calligraphy lesson with Master Shoran is truly a unique and immersive Japanese experience. I participated in the class with my two school-age children and we learned so much but also greatly appreciated the gracious hospitality that Master Shoran extended to us. She was so patient with my children, but also provided excellent instruction for me to get a deeper understanding of shodo. I have already recommended this experience to friends and family.
