De Caminito del Rey is meer dan alleen een pad; het is een onvergetelijke begeleide reis door de muren van de Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, een van de meest adembenemende natuurwonderen van Andalusië. Stel je voor dat je over hangende promenades loopt, direct in de verticale klifwand geschroefd, 100 meter boven de Guadalhorce rivier. Voel de adrenalinestoot terwijl je door de kloof loopt, neerkijkend in de diepe kloof die weinigen ooit zien. Deze ongelooflijke route biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de geologie van de canyon en de levendige mediterrane natuur, allemaal binnen een van de beschermde natuurgebieden van Málaga. The Gathering & Access Point : Ontmoet uw officiële, gecertificeerde Gids bij de North Access. Zoek bij aankomst naar het Caminito del Rey personeel in het donkerblauwe uniform. Stel uzelf gewoon voor aan de medewerker en vermeld dat uw reservering bij Discovering Spain is. U moet de naam op uw boeking, het aantal personen in uw gezelschap en uw geplande tourtijd opgeven. Al deze essentiële informatie staat duidelijk afgedrukt op uw voucher.
Loop door het eerste pad en de eerste hangende loopbruggen. De Gids zal zich concentreren op de dramatische geschiedenis van de Caminito : de bouw ervan in het begin van 1900, de gevaren waarmee arbeiders werden geconfronteerd en de redenen waarom koning Alfonso XIII de opdracht gaf. Dit gedeelte vormt de basis voor de kloof.
Terwijl het eerste pad plaats maakt voor de verticale rotswanden, bereid je je voor op het hoofdevenement. Je staat op het punt om op de legendarische hangende loopbruggen te stappen – een technisch hoogstandje zichtbaar vanuit de ruimte. Dit gedeelte is waar de Caminito zijn reputatie verdient. Pauzeer om de enorme omvang van de Gaitanes-kloof te waarderen, bewonder het kristalheldere water 100 meter lager en bereid je camera voor. Uw Gids zorgt ervoor dat u de beste uitzichten vastlegt terwijl u minder bekende feiten over de gedurfde reconstructie van het pad deelt.
Dit is het hart van de Caminito, waar de loopbruggen het hoogst boven de Gaitaneskloof hangen. De Gids zal de ongelooflijke geologische formaties, de rivier en de unieke flora en fauna van het gebied interpreteren. Er zullen speciale momenten zijn voor fotografie.
Voltooi het laatste deel en het pad naar de afslag bij El Chorro. De Gids zal de tour afsluiten met informatie over het wederopbouwproces en het moderne gebruik ervan als natuurpark. De Gids leidt u naar de officiële uitgangen en de beschikbare shuttle bushalte (Opmerking : Shuttle bus kosten zijn apart en niet inbegrepen).

It was a bit tricky to find the place to meet the guide. You have to walk abort 15 minutes after you've parked your car. No information on the direction, but you have to trust the GPS.

our experience lasted around 2 hours, the guide (Cristobal) was friendly and informative. the staff speak English as well as Spanish and other languages as well. there was no reception on mobile phones to show our tickets however we just stated our name on tickets and that was fine. alternatively take a screen shot of the tickets and bar/QR code

Very strenuous but extraordinary. Our guide, whose name I forgot - maybe Anita or Amy, was a tiny woman with nonstop energy and enthusiasm. Getting to the start of the tour and from the end to the starting point should be factored in because it adds to the difficulty. That said, I am glad we had such an incredible adventure!
