Dompel jezelf onder in de geschiedenis tijdens deze dagtour naar Efeze en het huis van de Maagd Maria vanuit Izmir. Bekijk de site waar we geloven dat 's werelds beroemdste vrouw aan het einde van haar leven leefde, na het huis van Maria van Maria zullen we Efeze bezoeken. Verwen jezelf in de best bewaarde oude stad ter wereld. Bezoek de ruïnes en stop op plaatsen zoals het Odeon, de beroemde bibliotheek van Celsus, het Bouleterion, de tempel van Hadrianus, de Agora, het bad van Scholastica en het Grote Theater. Bezoek de tempel van Artemis, een van de zeven wereldwonderen van de antieke wereld, en verken het kleine dorpje Şirince. Vervoer vanaf de luchthaven van Izmir of uw hotel wordt verzorgd door onze aircobussen. Hoogtepunten vandaag zijn de bibliotheek van Celsus, de tempel van Artemis en fruitwijnproeverij in Şirince.

We starten onze tour pick-up service van elk hotel waar je verblijft in Izmir. Als je je Efeze bij ons drinkt en je blijft in Kusadasi, dan is het de eerste ophaallocatie die om 07:30 uur vertrekt en verder gaat naar Selcuk, waar er andere deelnemers zullen zijn. Nadat iedereen bij elkaar is gekomen, begint de tour met het Huis van de Maagd Maria. House of Virgin Mary is de plek waar Mary haar laatste dagen heeft doorgebracht. Inderdaad, ze kan in het gebied zijn gekomen samen met Saint John. Deze plaats werd officieel uitgeroepen tot heiligdom van de rooms-katholieke kerk in 1986, en sindsdien is het een populaire bedevaartplaats geworden. Paus Paulus VI bezocht het heiligdom in 1967. Het bezoek aan het huis (kerk) duurt ongeveer 45 minuten en na ons bezoek; er zal 5 minuten rijden zijn naar Efeze.
we zullen doorgaan met het bezoek aan de tempel van Artemis; dat is een van de zeven wonderen van de oudheid. Hier is er een goede kans om foto's van de kerk van St. John en de moskee van Isa Bey ook vanuit de beste invalshoek te schieten.
Efeze is een uitzonderlijk getuigenis van de culturele tradities van de Hellenistische, Romeinse keizerlijke en vroeg-christelijke periode. Efeze is een belangrijke site voor het christendom; als een van de zeven kerken van openbaring. Apostel Paulus bracht waarschijnlijk twee en een half jaar door in Efeze tijdens zijn derde zendingsreis. In twee uur zul je de stad verkennen door te wandelen in de marmeren straten, begeleid door onze Engels sprekende gids. Tijdens onze tour zien we Odeon, State Agora, Prytaneion, Memmius Monument, Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian Temple en Latriens. De bezoeken aan Private House (zogenaamd bordeel, 'Terrace Houses') zijn een optioneel bezoek voor een extra 25 ₺ / persoon en uw gids moet vooraf worden geïnformeerd. Na Terrace Houses gaan we verder met onze verkenning met Celsus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather en Arcadine (Harbour Road).
Sirince is een oud dorp van ‘Rum’ (Byzantijnse Grieken) gelegen op de heuvels van Selcuk en op 7 km van Efeze. Als onderdeel van het vredesverdrag na de Turkse nationale oorlog (1919-1922) werd een formele uitwisseling van Turken en Grieken overeengekomen en wordt Sirince nu bewoond door Turken. Het dorp is populair vanwege de prachtige traditionele huizen en de wijnproductie met fruitsmaak; en je hebt een vrije tijd voor een wijnproeverij.

Hüray was an excellent guide, part informative and part humorous. She also was good at corralling all of us through the sites. The tour lengths were appropriate for each site: not too long and not too short.

We had an excellent tour of Ephesus with Huray as our guide. From the very beginning, she clearly explained the plan for each stop, making the day well organized and easy to follow. Her English was excellent, and she shared detailed, engaging information throughout the tour. At the House of the Virgin Mary, Huray provided fascinating historical and cultural context, and at the ancient city of Ephesus she brought the site to life with her knowledge while patiently answering all of our questions. She also made sure everyone stayed together and no one got lost, which made the experience very comfortable and stress-free. Although the Temple of Artemis is a shorter stop, she gave us enough free time to explore and take photos at our own pace. Lunch was another highlight—Huray arranged a delicious vegetarian meal at a lovely local restaurant, which we really appreciated. We also enjoyed strolling through the charming village of Şirince with enough time to explore on our own. Overall, Huray did a fantastic job. She was knowledgeable, organized, friendly, and attentive throughout the day. Her passion for the history of the region and her thoughtful planning made this one of the highlights of our trip. Great tour! We arrived at the House of Mother Mary at the perfect time and were able to avoid the large tour crowds. This gave me the opportunity to enjoy some meaningful spiritual moments. Our driver was friendly, and our tour guide, Ms. Huray, was both warm and highly knowledgeable. The guide was excellent for the information and kindness in the service. However, I do not like being taken to visit places for tourists to shop (carpet factory, business that makes cosmetics with olive oil). These activities are not included in the tour of the visit.
