Een tour naar Boti Falls

Het doel van deze tour is om mensen dichter bij de natuur te brengen. Het gaat om buitenavonturen en leuke activiteiten. Deze tour is ook een kans voor mensen om deel te nemen aan trillende en fysiek boeiende activiteiten terwijl ze troost putten uit de prachtige aanblik van de waterval.

Gasten zouden door 250 trappen lopen om de Boti-watervallen te bezoeken voor ontspanning na het wandelen. Er werd gezegd dat de watervallen in 1903 door een jager waren ontdekt, maar het bezoek van de eerste president van Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, verhoogde zijn populariteit in 1961. Het is een tweelingwaterval, door de lokale bevolking beschreven als mannelijk en vrouwelijk. valt over een stollingsgesteente bij de Boti-watervallen. Tijdens de regenseizoenen stromen de watervallen erg hoog en ontmoeten ze elkaar allebei. De lokale bevolking beschouwt dit als hun ‘paarperiode’ en er wordt voor hen een ‘paringsceremonie’ uitgevoerd waarbij een regenboog de gelegenheid siert tijdens waterspatten.
De paraplurots is een mysterieuze rots die op een paraplu lijkt en schaduw kan bieden aan toeristen in het bos. Er is een wandeling van ongeveer 45 minuten tot een uur naar de paraplu-rots, waar gasten een kleine pauze kunnen nemen voordat ze doorgaan naar hun volgende stop. Gasten kunnen ook de rots beklimmen om van bovenaf te genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op het bos en de natuur te waarderen. Het wordt aanbevolen dat gasten tijdens de wandeling lichte kleding en comfortabele schoenen dragen.
Vanaf de Umbrella Rock zouden gasten ongeveer 15 minuten vooruit gaan naar de volgende halte, de Three Headed Palm Tree. Het is een fascinerend gezicht van een palmboom met één stam maar drie hoofden. Op deze plek bevindt zich een vruchtbaarheidsrots waarvan de mensen geloven dat deze een spirituele betekenis heeft voor degenen die op zoek zijn naar een bevalling; ze bidden en er wordt aangenomen dat hun verzoeken door hun Heer worden ingewilligd of vervuld.

This was an amazing trip with Gian. The pick up was on time. The drive up from Accra was in a nice, air con vehicle, with tinted windows. We had great conversations with facts about Ghana/area as well as all our random questions being answered. We saw the 3 headed palm tree, the umbrella rock and Boti waterfalls. We got plenty of pictures and videos of our trek. We even got a canoe ride at the waterfalls. The lunch was not included, but we stopped at a very nice sit down restaurant before the journey back to Accra. Overall, this is a great tour with a great company. The only con, driving in Accra is scary. Buckle up and try to enjoy the ride.

Excellent day trip from Accra. The hike was nice with views over the surrounding valley, and the unique rock formation. The real highlight was the falls, though. It's a short walk down from the parking lot, and the falls are spectacular with a large swimming hole at the bottom. It was one of my favorite swimming holes I can remember visiting. Be sure you go Monday-Thursday, as it can get crowded on Fridays and weekends. The tour company provided a vehicle with a driver and a guide. Both were very pleasant and professional. I was very happy with the service.

It was a 2.5 hour ride that gets rough about 2 hours in. Once you arrive, you will have an amazing experience with beautiful sights. Luckily, there was a less strenous option because a 2.5 hr hike was not in the cards for our group. However, there are 250 stairs to & from the boti falls but well worth it. Everyone was extremely nice & knowledgable.

Embarked on this tour as it was recommended by my guide Zainab as part of the must see Tourist sites in the East. The hike was crazy and we had a breathtaking experience at the waterfalls. We didn't swim because the falls was drying up. The meal at Linda restaurant was delicious. I feel sad knowing I have to depart Ghana but I will be back again.

This tour was absolutely amazing! I loved everything about the day. The falls were absolutely amazing! So glad I came. I also went to the Aburi Botanical Gardens and the Tetther Quarshie cocoa farm. I learned so many things about all the plants and got to taste a fresh cocoa beans out the pod. Rashida and Mr. Ernest are both so cool. I felt so comfortable with them as I was solo traveling!

Our tour guides, and driver was awesome. The host was very knowledgeable with our many questions and highly accommodating. The drive was fairly long from Accra to boti falls, and the hike VERY strenuous, but all worth it! It was dry season so the lake was dried up a bit. And lunch was amazing as well.

This was my second tour with Pro Tour Africa since I really enjoyed the first one. I had heard so much about the mysterious water falls (which they believe has a male and female spirit dwelling in them) so I booked a tour there.This tour was amazing even though it involved a long hike to see the unbrella rock and the three headed palm tree (which are all part of the tour). These sites have mysterious stories attached to them and gave me chills for a moment. It was all worth the money and effort and trust me you would be ready to crawl into bed after the day end.
