We love taking bike tours around when we travel in Quito city we came across Jose who offers e-bike tours. He came to our hotel and was waiting outside for us at 9am with some fantastic German made e bikes which he stressed is probably the latest you want to start as a four hour ride puts you right into the typical rain time. Jose took us to all four corners of Quito we rode streets,roads,bridges and he made many stops along the way to talk about history of Quito. We found Jose to be happy, smiling, warm and friendly. We got to the other side of town and he stopped and treated us to a great cup of coffee and a sweet which was great. He then took us to the nicest, biggest market we have ever experienced all kinds of fruits, veges, fish and meats he pointed out how many different tomatoes, potatoes, squash and such we had no idea there are so many different types of some of these. We stopped at kids practicing salsa dancing and people playing music on the street Jose was singing and having as much fun as we did. If we ever venture back this way I will not hesitate to ask Jose to not only do a bike tour but he also does driving tours had we not already booked for our next tour to Mindo we would of definitely asked Jose to show us around. This was a memorable experience that we won’t forget. THANKS JOSE

We are very thankful for Jose, making our vacation memorable and our time in Quito so much fun. We originally booked a bike tour with another company, but after we saw this option for eBikes, we booked with ebikecuador. Jose was our guide and he did an amazing job making sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and that we were safe. The traffic in Ecuador is not as chaotic as some other cities we visited, which was nice. We did have a few moments where we needed to cross streets and Jose was careful to make sure that traffic was stopped and we were all together. After biking Quito, we are very thankful that we booked an eBike tour vs regular bikes. The city is quite hilly and some areas it felt like we were climbing stairs. It would have been much less relaxing and enjoyable with a regular bike. We ended up enjoying our day so much that we booked time with Jose for the following day so he could take us around Quito on a guided tour. He brought us to the Quito Cable Car - TeleferiQo, to a local market, a restaurant for lunch, and then to the Equator museum. It was an awesome day and Jose was eager to make sure we had a wonderful time. Thank you Jose!

We took this tour of Quito on e-bikes our first day in Ecuador and what a fantastic decision. Jose Luis was a knowledgeable and flexible guide. He was full of stories, history, and cultural facts. He was also super adaptable to us. We were the only participants so basically benefited from a private tour. He stopped frequently and repeatedly asked if we wanted to do this or that, take a break or continue, take the van back or ride back, etc. In addition to the standard “attractions” around Quito, he took us through the market and explained Ecuador’s agriculture - pointing out fruits, nuts, vegetables and fish as well as herbs and natural remedies. The protected bike lanes of Quito and the electric assistance of the bikes made this a pleasurable way to get some exercise but not overdue it on the hills of Quito and was a superb introduction to the history, architecture, agriculture and politics of Quito. We can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful way to explore Ecuador!

Without doubt one of our favorite trips!. The morning after we arrived we were warmly welcomed by, Jose, and Pablo, who picked us up at our hotel. We were welcomed with such a friendly atmosphere and we had a fantastic start! Jose was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had two great days together which obviously also added up to our great experience. Jose is such a warm personality and a highly motivated and knowledgable guide (recommendable!). We truly enjoyed learning and listening about the country and the different areas we drove through. The scenery was beautiful and the e-bikes and guide were so prepared for the climate and our safety during our ride in Antisana. Jose lent us gloves, jackets and a back up van when we needed to rest from the challenges of the elevation. He was so accommodating The tour continued with a stop at a local restaurant, which was a very authentic and delicious Ecuadorian meal. The atmosphere was so special that it really felt like we were guests at a family home. All our expectations and gratitude for Jose,who does a great job ; is a true example of an excellent tour guide and leader for anyone who is looking for adventure and excitement. Many thanks again and we recommend Jose and e-bike Ecuador for biking or just touring to everyone!

E biking with Jose Luis is a must do in Quito if you have any aptitude for biking. The e bikes are supper high quality from Europe and Jose Luis is an expert guide with a passion for his city and country. We loved touring around the city with him. On an e bike you cover tons of ground and he can customize the tour biased on what you’d like to see. Felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommend this experience. We also did e biking in Cotopaxi national park which was totally different but equally as good.

Totally worth your time and money,! Very knowledgeable! Bikes are the best! Goes anywhere you want! We had a private tour that was perfect.

What a perfect way to explore a new city! I convinced my friends to join me on this tour on our first day in Quito. Even though some of them are not big into biking and are not that athletic, everyone loved it! The e-bikes are great quality and they make it easy for everyone to keep up no matter their level of fitness. We were lucky enough to have 2 tour guides, Jose and Andres, and they both shared some really interesting and unique perspectives on their city with all of us. For a group of people who knew almost nothing about Quito this was a great way to get our bearings. After biking through several different neighborhoods and parts of the city, Jose took us to a market where we had a beer, tried some amazing fruits we had never heard of before, and shared a traditional Ecuadorian lunch. The tour started and ended at our hotel which was so convenient! I highly recommend this tour especially if you are a first time visitor of Quito!

We just returned from a two week vacation in Quito and the Galápagos Islands. We did a private city tour before the islands and this E-Bike tour afterwards. This E-Bike tour of Quito was a highlight! Jose was so much fun, not only to us but to everyone we met along the way. The E-Bike were great on the hills and handled great in the traffic. And we weren't stuck in traffic! He took us to several different neighborhoods! It was a great way to see and tour the city along with a local stop for refreshments. It was a great day and we would highly recommend if you can ride a bike!
