In de buurt van Epernay, hoofdstad van de Champagne-wijngaard, ontdekking van de Grand Cru "Côte des Blancs" en het beroemde dorp en de wijngaard van Hautvillers in de historische heuvels van de Marne-vallei die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. In Hautvillers, dorp genaamd de “Wieg van de Champagne”, rondleiding door de kerk van Dom Pérignon en de wijngaard. Pauzeer op het mooiste uitzichtpunt van de Champagne in het hart van de wijngaard met uitleg over het wijnbouwbeheer. Bezoek de productielocaties van twee families van onafhankelijke producenten/telers, gevolgd door proeverijen met commentaar van een selectie van 6 Grand Cru/Premier Cru-champagnes, evenals de essentiële champagne-alcoholen en aperitieven tijdens aanvullende proeverijen. Ontdekkingstocht door de "Côte des Blancs", beroemd gebied vanwege zijn Grand Cru Chardonnay 100% Blanc de Blancs. Becommentarieerde passage door de Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, met zijn 200 miljoen flessen in de kelders "de duurste Avenue ter wereld" genoemd.

In Hautvillers, het dorp dat de "Wieg van de Champagne" wordt genoemd, kunt u genieten van een privérondleiding door de kerk waar het graf van Dom Pérignon, bekend als de geestelijke vader van de Champagne, ligt. Wij vertellen u zijn verhaal en u zult eindelijk weten of hij de uitvinder van de champagne is of niet!
In Hautvillers stoppen we ook op de historische heuvels van Champagne die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van Unesco staan om te genieten van het meest magnifieke panorama van de Champagne met uitzicht op de Marne-vallei, de plaats waar Dom Pérignon zijn experimenten met het maken van wijn uitvoerde. Het is de ideale plek in het hart van de wijngaarden om onvergetelijke foto's van jou en dit adembenemende landschap te maken. We bezoeken de eerste van de 2 families van onafhankelijke producenten/telers die je tijdens je tour zult ontdekken met uitleg over het champagnebereidingsproces, bezoek aan de persen, wijnhuizen en kelders. U proeft daar, tijdens een begeleide proeverij, 3 verschillende GrandCru/Premier Cru Champagnes*. *afhankelijk van het seizoen en de beschikbaarheid kan dit bezoek/degustatie plaatsvinden in een dorp aan de "Côte des Blancs" of in Aÿ-Champagne.
Tijdens uw ontdekkingstocht in de "Côte des Blancs" gaan we door Cramant, een van de beroemde Grand Cru-dorpen ten zuiden van Epernay. Dit gebied in de Champagne wordt het "Koninkrijk van Chardonnay Grand Cru" genoemd. We passeren ook andere beroemde dorpen zoals Chouilly en Avize, voor de grootste champagneflessenfabriek en vlakbij het beroemde "Chateau de Saran", het ultraprivéterrein waar de luxe LVMH-groep (die eigenaar is van Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon , Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Krug ...) ontvangt zijn grootste klanten en VIP's, evenals de "Montaigu-site" gewijd aan de champagneproductie van Moët & Chandon.
Oger is een ander gerenommeerd Grand Cru-dorp in "Côte des Blancs" met de beroemde "Blanc de Blancs" 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru. Hier bezoeken we een van de 2 families van onafhankelijke producenten/telers van de tour met andere uitleg over het champagnemaakproces, bezoek aan de persen, wijnhuizen en kelders. Je proeft 3 100% Grand Cru Champagnes met proefadvies om de verschillende "Blanc de Blancs" te ontdekken, zoals natuurlijke champagne zonder dosering, extra brut, van oude wijnstokken, vintage of zelfs gerijpt in eikenhouten vaten.
We steken in Epernay, de hoofdstad van de Champagne-wijngaard, de "Avenue de Champagne" over, een must-see Champagne die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Het wordt beschouwd als "de duurste Avenue ter wereld" met zijn prestigieuze champagnehuizen, zijn herenhuizen en zijn 100 kilometer aan kelders die 200 miljoen flessen verbergen. Er is een becommentarieerde passage gepland om de geschiedenis uit te leggen van de prachtige herenhuizen en productiegebouwen die eeuwenlang toebehoorden aan de Champagnehuizen zoals Moët & Chandon, Perrier Jouët, Pol Roger, enz.

Viator geeft u een lijst van pick-ups, controleer dan of uw plaats is in de omtrek van 6 km (3,7 mijl) rond Epernay (Reims ligt op 40 minuten rijden en niet binnen deze straal. Je moet met de taxi, auto of trein naar Epernay komen). Zo niet, dan kunnen we je niet ophalen op deze plek. In geval van twijfel kunt u contact met ons opnemen voordat u boekt. Afhankelijk van het weer/seizoen en het aantal personen in uw groep, kiezen we het meest geschikte voertuig uit ons wagenpark van verschillende auto's : Elektrische E-Mehari Jeep auto, Premium Van en Minivans. Onze Electric red E-Mehari's zijn crossovers, als u moeite heeft om in iets verhoogde voertuigen te komen vertel het ons.

Outstanding, educational and fun tour.... we learned about the nomenclature, process, denominations, and history of champagne with a fun local guide. The two tastings offered novel small production vineyards with s broad array of different champagne. Highly recommend.

Fantastic luck with Philippe! His local knowledge as well as champagne skills were really appreciated by everyone in the group as much as his mood. The hours just flew by and we might as well have continued all evening :) During the tour we stopped for tasting at Jean Milan and Voirin-Jumel. We also visited Dom Perignon church and finished on a hill where we enjoyed the view as well as Philippe's surprises in the form of Ratafia and other drinks.

We highly recommend this champagne tour. The host Marine was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour tells you everything you need to know about champagne and the region. The degustation was excellent and from small champagne producers, which is lovely. We got picked up from the hotel and driven back where we asked. It is totally worth doing. 🍾👍🏼😊
