Besteed een dag aan 'The Sound of Music' op deze persoonlijke, aanpasbare 8-uur durende tour vanuit Salzburg. Reist per privé minibus en volgt de voetsporen van Maria en de Von Trapps naar de ene locatie na de andere, stoppend voor de lunch (op eigen kosten) op de route. Tour door de 'Do Re Mi'-scènes in Salzburg, bekijk het beroemde prieel, de Mondsee en de' The Hills are Alive 'weide, en absorbeer het alpenlandschap. Prijs is per voertuig, inclusief ophalen en inleveren van hotel.

Tijdens deze stop verkennen we de prachtige Mirabell Gardens, waar de grote finale van Do, Re, Mi werd gefilmd en we zullen je ook de Pegasus Fountain, Dwarf Garden, Hedge Tunnel en de trappen laten zien waar Maria en de kinderen klaar zijn met Do, Re , Mi.
Als u van Sound of Music houdt, kent u dit fantastische poppentheater (sinds 1913 actief). Het poppentheater van Salzburg is het oudste continue theater in zijn soort in de wereld. The Lonely Goatherd en de poppenscène in de Sound of Music zijn geïnspireerd door dit theater. Sound of Music Film Connection: Dit is de inspiratie voor een van de meest memorabele scènes "The Lonely Goatherd"
Geniet van een panoramisch uitzicht over de stad terwijl Maria en de kinderen het Do, Re, Mi lied naar Salzburg brachten vanaf de picknickweide in Werfen. In The Sound of Music is dat het moment waarop ze de volgorde van de muzieknoten beginnen te mixen om te oefenen.
Deze iconische monumentfontein, gebouwd in de 17e eeuw, werd vroeger gebruikt als paardenwas. Het was ook te zien in de Sound of Music.
Gebouwd in de 17e eeuw als een manege voor de prins-aartsbisschoppen van Salzburg en omgebouwd tot een theater in 1925. Dit is de locatie waar de Von Trapps Edelweiss uitvoerden en de Salzburgse festivals wonnen tijdens de Sound of Music-ontsnappingscène.
St. Peters Cemetery, ligt naast de St. Peters Basiliek en het klooster. In de Sound of Music inspireerde het oudste deel van Salzburg (dat teruggaat tot 696AD) de ontsnappingscène.
Gebouwd in 1903, is de Mozartbrug de oudste brug over de rivier de Salzach in de stad Salzburg. In de Sound of Music steken Marie en de kinderen de brug over terwijl ze wijzen tijdens het instrumentale einde van "My Favorite Things" voordat ze langs de met gras begroeide rivieroever glijden.
We stoppen bij deze majestueuze barokke fontein uit de 17e eeuw, waar Maria water spetterde vlak voordat ze de bus naar de kapiteins Villa instapte, terwijl ik vertrouwen had in het geluid van muziek.
De oudste abdij ten noorden van de Alpen (714 AD) was meerdere malen te zien in de Sound of Music. Alleen de buitenkant van de abdij werd gebruikt in de film. Innside-shots werden gedaan in een studio.
Hier stoppen we voor een uitzicht over het meer naar het paleis Leopoldskron. Dit prachtige rococo-gebouw werd gebruikt als de achterkant van het familiehuis in de Sound of Music. De bootscène werd hier gefilmd en het was de thuisbasis van de originele Gazebo.
Halte en korte wandeling naar het 17e eeuwse paleis Frohnburg. Dit zijn de poorten waar Maria kwam hoppen, hier gitaar slingerde en "I Have Confidence" zong in de Sound of Music.
Deze panoramische weg wordt beschouwd als een van de mooiste in de Alpen. Na een mooie rit naar de top (1570 meter) zal uw privégids met u meegaan naar de plek waar de familie over de Alpen naar Zwitserland wandelde. (Als het weer het toelaat)
Geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht (als het weer het toelaat) op de plaats waar Maria draaide in het veld tijdens de openingsscène van de Sound of Music terwijl ze "The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Music" zongen.
Hellbrunn Palace, beroemd om zijn trick waterfonteinen, is sinds 1991 de locatie van de originele Gazebo. Enkele van de meest onvergetelijke en romantische scènes van de Sound of Music, zoals "16 gaan op 17" met Liesl en Rolf en "Something Good", werden uitgevoerd in dit tijdloze Gazebo.
Sound of Music picknickweide, waar Maria en de kinderen tijdens hun picknick Do, Re, Mi begonnen te zingen. Geniet van een prachtig uitzicht op het fort Hohenwerfen en de Alpen.
Voormalig jachtslot gebouwd in 1450 door Prins Aartsbisschop, Schloss Fuschl is vandaag een luxe Lake Side Resort.
Thuisbasis van de meest bekende Energy Drink, geniet van prachtige architectuur.
Breng een bezoek aan de huwelijksbasiliek "The Sound of Music".
Geniet van een prachtig uitzicht over de Wolfgangsee en de stad St. Gilgen. Dit is het gebied dat werd getoond tijdens de openingsscène van de Sound of Music. Je hebt ook uitzicht op de Schafberg waar Maria en de kinderen de trein naar de picknickweide namen.

A fun and fully comprehensive immersion into all things Sound of Music from the city sights to the hills, lakes and so much more. Michael, our guide was very personable, knowledgeable, entertaining and spoke English excellently. 8 hours seemed a long time but the day was well-planned and balanced, seeing everything there was to see without being hurried, or it feeling too drawn-out. Cannot recommend it highly enough!
We hit every single outdoor spot of the Sound of Music on this tour. Carlos was amazing and you could tell he knew his stuff. Due to traffic we had to shift around stops, but at each stop Carlos went into depth on where in the movie it was. While driving between stops we also tested his Sound of Music knowledge and couldn't stump him. This was on my Mom's "bucket list" and she said she will never forget it. I want to thank Carlos for his friendliness and his knowledge which made this tour truly great. This was one of our family's favorites while visiting Europe.
Our driver Carlos picked 6 of us up from our hotel right on time. We were then taken on the most wonderful and informative tour in upmost comfort. We couldn’t recommend this tour more! Thank you again for making my mother’s birthday even more special! Xxx
Best experience. Our tour guide, Michael, was extremely knowledgeable about the movie and sights he took us to see. He curated our day to the areas we wanted to see. We traveled at length through out Salzburg viewing three meadows from the movie. We went to the picnic meadow where Maria teaches the children Do Re Mi. Then off to the meadow at the beginning of the movie where Maria twirls and sings the Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Music. Next was the top of the mountain where the family escapes Austria. The views of the mountains were spectacular and breathtaking. We enjoyed an authentic Austrian homemade lunch at the family run restaurant, Golden Bear. In addition, we visited Schloss Leopoldskron, Hellbrunn Palace to see the gazebo, and the basilica St. Michael in Mondsee where Maria gets married. When we returned to Salzburg, Michael continued the tour by walking us through Mirabell Gardens. Michael also gave us insight on the Bavarian and Austrian history and culture.
Michael made Sound of Music come alive for us. A most nostalgic tour for us, reliving the best of the movie.
This tour is a must do if in Salzburg. Not only is it all about the Sound of Music, but you get the added bonus of a Salzburg region tour. Carlos our guide was amazing and made it such a fun day. His knowledge of the local area and of the Sound of Music was excellent. Thank you again Carlos for making this a highlight of our trip.
My wife and I did the private tour of The Hills Are Alive, Sound of Music tour with Micheal Toth. We did a walk of old town Salzburg, then the driving tour and lunch. At all times Micheal was a wealth of information, professional, respectful and helpful. We could not have asked for a better host. The day was perfect including the weather.

Our guide Michael oversaw an action packed day, visiting all the main SOM location sites plus other more remote locations. We especially enjoyed the Do Re Me meadow and mountain trail as appears at the end of the film - an added extra which we were not expecting. Michael was very Knowledgeable, good humoured and patient. My Mom and I did the Hills Are Alive Tour on 9/30 with our guide, Michael. It was a gift for her upcoming birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our time! The weather wasn’t the best but we made the most of it, with the help of our guide. He was funny, welcoming, kind and had great background stories he shared with us, and also was our photographer!
