De Deathly Dark Tour of York is een grimmige en theatrale, donkere comedy wandeltocht, perfect voor degenen die een beetje een wicked streak hebben en op zoek zijn naar de donkere en spookachtige geschiedenis van de stad te verkennen met een van onze gidsen, beroemd om hun heerlijk donkere gevoel voor humor. Let op, dit is GEEN angstaanjagende attractie, het is een verhalende ervaring. De tour is gezinsvriendelijk, maar sommigen vinden de verhalen misschien verontrustend. Als u een specifieke fobie of trigger heeft, neem dan contact met ons op voordat u boekt. Kinderen moeten te allen tijde bij hun ouder/voogd blijven. Tour groepsgrootte is 20 - 50 personen, hoewel dit zal veranderen afhankelijk van het seizoen. Privé- en kleine groepsrondleidingen zijn op aanvraag beschikbaar.

Er staan een aantal gebouwen op Stonegate die een griezelige, historische betekenis hebben die verloren is gegaan in de tijd. Maar de gebouwen staan er nog steeds en wij kennen alle feiten!
De York Minster is een prachtig gebouw dat hoog en trots in het centrum van York staat. Officieel zijn er hier geen spoken, maar officieus kunnen we je er een paar vertellen!
Er zijn verschrikkelijke verhalen te vertellen in de donkere achterstraten van Bedern.
Coppergate herbergt veel spookverhalen, maar welke ga jij horen? Misschien een boze viking of een chagrijnige zakenvrouw!
Een verwrongen en prachtige oude straat, die je met eigen ogen moet zien.
We sluiten ons gezamenlijke moment af bij de trappen van Clifford's Tower (afhankelijk van beschikbaarheid), waar zich jaren van duistere geschiedenis hebben afgespeeld.

We've seen three guides now over the last couple of years - Dorian, Dafydd and Dalton - it feels like we are collecting them all, like Pokémon. It's become a tradition for us whenever we visit York to book on to a tour because we love it so much. It even makes my exceptionally grumpy teenager smile, and for that alone, I salute these spooky superstars. Dede who has greeted us in the shop has always been absolutely lovely and friendly too. More of this sort of thing!
The deathly dark tour was a thing of pure theatrical delight that even from the moment were all lined up in the Shambles waiting to set off the guide one “Davina Darkly” was walking up and down creating an atmosphere that was a combination of tense, thrilling, enthralling and delightfully sinister. My girlfriend and myself chose this tour purely that we were staying just down the road from the operator but we implore you to find this place book your spot and be ready to scream and squeal in pure delight. Well worth the beyond reasonable price you must go and make sure it’s the one after dark.
Dalton was handsome, had great knowledge, was handsome and funny. What a laugh we had though! Thoroughly recommend it! 10/10 experience!
We attended this tour on the 12th August at 7pm. It was 90 minutes of a perfect combination of ghost stories and humour delivered perfectly by our entertaining guide. She was absolutely brilliant and really made our evening. If you are looking for a ghostly walking tour in York this is a must. Thanks again for a fantastic tour..

This tour was absolutely amazing! The tour guide Davina Deathly was absolutely brilliant and theatrical! From beginning to end she was informative, fascinating and creepy! Really glad we booked! Number one rule...DON'T DIE!!!!!! Hope Davina Deathly can also forgive herself for the 'Poultrygeist' joke.... we certainly did. Make sure you book this tour, you'll be in for a treat 😎😁
Genuinely the funniest night of the trip. We did this tour with Dalton Darkly and honestly, I've paid to see stand-up comedians who didn't make me laugh this much. If you want proper, genuinely English humour, this is the tour to do it with. He's sharp, quick, and had the whole group laughing within minutes. Not your standard "and then a ghost appeared" tour, there's real wit behind it alongside the history and the spookier moments. Would recommend to anyone visiting York, whether you're into the ghost stories or just want a proper laugh on a night out. Brilliant guide, brilliant tour.
Dafydd Dark was an incredible tour guide, even for a jaded old ghost tour veteran such as myself. Wildly hammy yet frighteningly informative tour. Obscenely good value for money.

This was my first time doing a ghost tour EVER and let’s just say it was insanely amazing. Dante was our ghost tour guide for the night and they were nothing short of hilarious. Dante captured the whole crowd by their stories and me and my partner loved it. We couldn’t stop laughing but yet Dante’s stories sent shivers along our spines. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting York. You won’t be disappointed!
