Dagtocht Simien Mountains Nationaal Park

Begin je Ethiopische trekkingavontuur van een hele dag vanuit de oude, ooit hoofdstad Gondar. Je wordt opgehaald bij je hotel en rijdt in twee uur naar Debark, de ingang van Simien Mountains National Park. Bij aankomst regelt u alle formaliteiten en vergunningen en ontmoet u uw gids en de scouts van het nationale park die u de hele dag zullen bijstaan. Rijd vervolgens 21 mijl naar het eerste deel van het park en het startpunt van uw wandeling. Begin met een trektocht van drie uur helemaal naar Michibi, waar je de endemische gelada-baviaan en vele soorten planten en vogels zult zien. Geniet van bovenaf van het spectaculaire uitzicht op het Simien-gebergte. Sluit de prachtige dag af met vervoer naar uw hotel in Gondar.

We ontmoeten u 's ochtends op de luchthaven van Gondar of uw hotel in Gondar. Rijd van Gondar naar Debark, de hoofdzetel van het nationale park. We stoppen hier om toestemming te krijgen om het park te betreden en de verkenner te ontmoeten. We zullen een thee- en koffiepauze houden en de lokale markt bezoeken als we tijd hebben. De lokale markt is elke dag geopend en elke woensdag en zaterdag is de grote marktdag. Vanuit de stad Debark rijden we naar de parkpoort, die ongeveer 16 km van de stad ligt. Daarna gaan we ongeveer 10 km naar het Sankaber-kamp, de eerste camping in het nationale park. Vanuit het Sankaber-kamp zullen we ongeveer 3 uur wandelen. Je wandelt langs de rand met een prachtig uitzicht over de uitlopers 800 meter lager. Je zult zeker troepen van de endemische gelada-bavianen tegenkomen en ze van dichtbij zien. Jinba-watervallen, een ongelooflijke steile val van 500 meter, de langste val in Ethiopië. we komen terug op de hoofdweg Kavamesk) waar de auto stopt om ons naar Gondar te rijden
De 20 minuten durende wandeling vanaf de kant van de weg naar het uitkijkpunt over de kloof naar de Jinbar-waterval is zeker de moeite waard. De uitzichten zijn duizelingwekkend en zijn op hun best in het regenseizoen, wanneer het water langs een steile klif aan de andere kant van de vallei naar beneden stroomt. Sankaber is de eerste camping op de meeste Simien-tochten en is een prachtige kennismaking met het park. De rit vanuit Debark (de toegangsstad tot het Simien-gebergte) eindigt bij Buit Ras, vlakbij de Simien Lodge. Vanaf hier begint u aan de tocht naar het Sankaber-kamp. De route van Buit Ras naar Sankaber is relatief mild en leent zich goed als acclimatisatiewandeling, hoewel er enkele steilere beklimmingen zijn als je klimt naar zo'n 3200 meter. Sankaber is omgeven door reuzenheidebomen (Erica Arboreal) en steile hellingen. Het kamp ligt aan de rand van de helling en heeft een prachtig uitzicht. Gelada-apen spelen hier vaak op het terrein, en er zijn een paar geweldige uitzichtpunten rondom het kamp die je kunt verkennen terwijl je aan het acclimatiseren bent.

The mountains were absolutely beautiful, and the views were amazing. It was a peaceful and refreshing experience away from the city.
We had an unforgettable day trip to Simien Mountains National Park with Mickey and it truly exceeded all our expectations. We went on a day trip to the Simien Mountains National Park with friends, and it was amazing. The scenery is breathtaking—cliffs, valleys, and gelada monkeys everywhere! It was a great way to spend a day outdoors without feeling rushed, and the pace was perfect for our group.
We did a day trip to the Simien Mountains as a family, and it turned out better than we expected. The views are just incredible, and even the kids enjoyed spotting the gelada monkeys. Had a fantastic and fun filled guided group tour of day trip to simien mountains This was my first experience with Simien Mountain tours and happy and excited to say that it was a great one. Thanks for the well selected hotels. It enhanced our overall experience. The restaurants were also good,but could have been better. Our tour manager Mr Fentay was very helpful. A very kind hearten, jovial, courteous, fun filled character who was always around when we needed him and very patient with everyone on the tour.
