Pick-up van hotel / Riad in een comfortabel voertuig met airconditioning. Breng een bezoek aan "Rabat-stad" gelegen aan de Atlantische Oceaan aan de monding van de Bou Regreg-rivier. Op de weg maken we stops om te genieten van het landschap, koele lucht, foto's maken voor het leven. Bij aankomst bezoek aan Rabat samen Hassan Tower die op de heuvel uitkijkt over Wadi Bou-Regreg. Hassan Tower de prachtige moskee, symbool voor Rabat, bekend om zijn onvoltooide minaret waar ooievaars nestelen. Verder bezoeken we het charmante mausoleum Mohammed-V ingericht met glas-in-loodramen, een marmeren en smeedijzeren toegangsweg met een trap die leidt naar een spectaculaire koepel. Breek om te ontspannen, lunch in een traditioneel lokaal restaurant. Na de lunch start je de tour van het tweede deel met de volgende plaatsen: Rivier de Bouregrag, stoppen om de door UNESCO beschermde Udayas Kasbah te bezoeken, die gebouwd werd tijdens de heerschappij van de Almohaden van 1121-1269 om de stad te beschermen en is omsloten door stadsmuren uit de Almohad-periode. Een ander bezoek aan Bab Oudaïa een monumentale poort en het grote voorbeeld van de militaire architectuur van Almohad, kijk naar Oudaïa- Musee, het paleis van Moulay Ismaïl met collecties van Marokkaanse volkskunst. Ontspan vervolgens in de Andalusische tuin in Moorse stijl. Rabat tour, zal niet compleet zijn zonder een wandeling rond "chellah" ruïnes herdenken, de eens zo krachtige Romeinse haven. Laatste halte, een nieuwe stad met brede boulevards, open groene ruimtes, lanen met woonblokken, spoorlijn, de Bank van Marokko, Musee Poste en Cathédrale Saint-Pierre. Uiteindelijk eindigt de dagtocht van Fez naar Rabat met een terugweg naar het originele startpunt Fez.

We had a great experience on this tour. It is the perfect day trip from Fez and gives you a great overview of Rabat. Our guide, Radwan, was friendly, attentive and helpful. He gave us a great lunch recommendation and we enjoyed eating by the river. 10/10 We would highly recommend this tour!
Rabat is the political capital of Morocco and is known as one of the cleanest cities in Africa. There are many historical sites to see and is home to King Mohammed and his multiple palaces. We saw everything from ancient ruins, to a Kasbah reminiscent of Santorini, to a central Medina that is much more manageable than those found in Marrakech and Fes. The King’s presence in the city keeps Rabat looking very clean and fresh and leads to a large military presence throughout the city. Our guide Radwan was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we saw as well as a conscientious and safe driver. He even stopped at his favorite roadside coffee stand between Fes and Rabat and treated us to an espresso!
We had great time at Rabat with my mum! The driver Ibrahim was friendly and dropped us at the most interesting and popular places to see in the city and also we had some free time in the medina at the end. He took us from the Riad and we arrived on time to have plenty of time at each site, recommended!

This is a great day out our tour guide / driver Mohammed was professional friendly kept us informed and conducted our day in a relaxing manner . The sights in Rabat are amazing and different to other Moroccan cities , around the port and Hassan tower is amazing. Mohammed recommended a superb place for lunch near the old town was very traditional and yummy we had the mixed skewers. Would highly recommended this trip on your visit.
