Een dagtour naar Alexandrië met een deluxe voertuig met airconditioning en een persoonlijke gids. Alexandria is de bruid van de Middellandse Zee, geniet van een dag daar het zien van de Grieks-Romeinse en islamitische geschiedenis.

Uw gekwalificeerde egyptoloog haalt u om 07:30 uur op bij uw hotel in Caïro of Gizeh, waarna u wordt overgebracht door een luxe voertuig met airconditioning en uw privégids. U arriveert rond 10.00 uur in Alexandrië om uw dag te beginnen met een bezoek aan Qaitbay Fort. Het fort van Sultan Qaitbay is een van de symbolen van Alexandrië, het werd gebouwd op het oude eiland Pharos, over de ruïnes van de wereldberoemde vuurtoren in 1477-1480 AD. Vervolgens bezoek je The Serapeum en Pompey's Pillar. Op de plaats van de oude tempel van Serapis (lokale god van Alexandrië) staat de hoogste kolom, uitgehouwen uit een blok rood graniet, de kolom ten onrechte toegeschreven aan Pompeius. Vervolgens ga je naar het Romeinse Odeum (theater), het kleine Romeinse odeum in Kom al-Dikka dateert uit de 4e eeuw na Christus en oorspronkelijk een dak had, de rijen konden 600 toeschouwers herbergen. Ga door naar de catacomben van Kom al-Shuqafa (Romeinse graven), het belangrijkste hypogeum in Alexandrië, de catacomben van Kom al-Shuqafa dateren uit de 2e eeuw na Christus. Aan het einde van de dag ziet u de Alexandria Bibliotheca (van buitenaf) voordat u terugkeert naar uw hotel in Caïro of Giza. Lunch is inclusief tussendoor bezoeken aan een lokaal restaurant.

Excellent clean van and wonderful guide. Lunch was an incredible fish dinner on the Mediterranean! The sites were very interesting.
I was taken around by tourguide Manar. She was amazing, very friendly, generous with her time and really was interested in showing us around. She was cheerful and knew a lot about the place. Definitely recommend this tour group.
Great experience, Ali came with us, gave us a wonderful tour, and took us to a very nice restaurant where we were able to select our fresh sea food prior to it being cooked

It was a very nice excursion to Alexandria which remains an exceptional destination considering the Greco-Roman heritage in this city. Goda is an excellent driver and took care of us very well. The French-speaking guide, Mohamed, showed us the most beautiful sites of the city. He speaks very good French and is very welcoming. We recommend it to you.
This was an incredible tour of the city of Alexandria by our driver and tour guide Nermen,We were picked up on time. We stopped for breakfast after an hour and reached Alexandria very early. The tour guide let us take more time for the break because we had kids. The guide knew all about the historical sites. We decided to spend much time around the beach (it was a warm day). Lunch was fantastic by the Mediterranean fresh fish & there was a vegetarian food!! The driver was great. The sites were mesmerizing. A really memorable trip to a historic city.
We travelled as one family to Alexandria with a very helpful guide and friendly driver. A big thank for this excellent day trip. We loved this stunning places such as Pompey's Pillar, the Roman amphitheater and Alexandria library and hope to travel with you again.
Had a great day in Alexandria with our guide Sharif (with Viator tour company). He made sure we were happy and was very personable! He gave us a great backstory to all of the cites we visited (citadel, Pompey’s pillar, catacombs and library). He also made sure to take lots of nice pictures for us without us even needing to ask. Would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to visit this part of Egypt!!!
<p>We had a full day tour of Alexandria. It took us about 2 and 1/2 hours to get there from Giza but well worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all of Ancient Egyptian History. Visiting the catacombs was amazing and the whole day was great. Had lunch overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Highly recommend visiting Alexandria.</p>
