Verken de verbazingwekkende nevelwouden van Costa Rica tijdens deze Monteverde-tour. Je tour begint 's ochtends wanneer je wordt opgehaald bij je hotel in San Jose en je reist vervolgens naar het noordelijke deel van het land op een zeer mooie rit, met geweldig uitzicht op prachtige bergketens, lokale steden, boerderijen en de Pacifische kust van Costa Rica. Op weg naar Monteverde zul je ook genieten van meerdere stops om het grootste deel van Costa Rica te zien. Stop even bij de grootste fruitkraam van het land, waar je kennis maakt met een enorme variëteit aan tropisch fruit.
Vervolg je tour met een stop bij Caldera, waar je een plek zult bezoeken waar veel witkopkapucijnaapjes in het wild van opmerkelijk dichtbij worden waargenomen.
Maak geweldige foto's van verbazingwekkende landschappen op weg naar het Monteverde-gebergte, er worden een paar stops gemaakt op uitkijkpunten waar op heldere dagen een prachtig uitzicht op de Golf van Nicoya en het Monteverde-gebergte te zien is.
Eenmaal in Monteverde, geniet je van een heerlijke lunch in de buurt van de stad Santa Elena en ga je verder met de verbazingwekkende hangende bruggentour in het Cloud Forest in Selvatura Park, waar je ongeveer 2-3 uur met je gids zult wandelen de schoonheid van dit zeldzame ecosysteem en het zoeken naar de lokale fauna, zoals apen, smaragdgroene toekans, coatimundis en de zeldzame schitterende quetzal, de mooiste vogel van Costa Rica. Deze wandeling is ca. 3 kilometer lang (1,9 mijl) en het is meestal gedaan op vlak terrein met een paar milde beklimmingen. Laat in de middag brengen we je terug naar je hotel in San Jose of we kunnen je naar je centraal gelegen hotel in Monteverde brengen als je van plan bent om na de tour in dat gebied te blijven.

Our guide was Alex and he was very kind and knowledgeable. Cautious but efficient driver too. The trip was great as we saw the capuchin monkeys in wild, such a peaceful and serene experience! Then went to a local restaurant and our food concern/choice was taken care of, without any problem. Monteverde forest was the highlight of the trip, with amazing guide there too. It was an amazing experience through the forest and hanging bridges.

It was a long day. Most of the trip was spent in a car ride. The trip started at 7am, and we were back at the hotel around 8.30PM. It was worth the long car ride. The trail we went to was phenomenal! It was a true rainforest experience. Our tour guide (Alex) took really good care of us. He was very kind and funny. The food was okay, nothing special. The survivor shop we went to after the trip was very expensive. Everything there was the same thing they sell at the airport. The car ride was very rough, so please be prepared lol. The only thing we didn't like was the first stop at the snack shops. It was way too long. It was about 40 minutes. I think that was unnecessary. We only have about 20 minutes to spend time with the monkey. If you are the type of person who loves animals and cares about nature, you will not enjoy Monkey House. Don't forget to bring a rain jacket!

Long Day for seniors pick up @ 5:30 home @ 8PM. Needs to find better stops with better bathrooms. We did have enough bathroom stops. Tour operator choice of restaurant did not provide the food we pre-order. I do not like subitutes as I am a diabetic. Would like to driver to stop occasionally for scenic stops. The tour guide was informative. But group moved along too quickly for seniors.Guide did not find any wild birds or animals. Will go UTube for info before going. Then take an Uber as we are group of three. Should have group rates. After watching UTube will plan my own trip.

The trip to the cloud forest in Monteverde was well worth it! Our guide and driver, Alex, did a great job, it felt like a small, personal tour! He made sure everything was going ok, made some stops to break up the long drive, and gave us a lot of interesting information about Costa Rica. Would definitely recommend!
