We rijden door de Beierse Alpen met onze panoramische ramen vanuit onze bussen, en je ziet het meer Chiemsee, en we brengen je naar Salzburg. Daar heb je tijd om de stad op eigen houtje te verkennen. We leggen de belangrijkste punten van de stad uit om uw bezoek onvergetelijk te maken. Bezoek de plekken uit de film the Sound of Music, zoals het kasteel Mirabel. Onze gidsen laten u op de kaart zien waar de smalle straatjes zijn, de beste plekken voor foto's ontdekken en helpen u om de geboorteplaats van Wolfgang Mozart te vinden. Bezoek de beroemde Getreidegasse. Bekijk de Hohensalzburg, bezienswaardigheid van de stad en grootste bewaard gebleven vesting in Midden-Europa. Alleen in het hoogseizoen april-oktober : Wij nemen u mee door het natuurparadijs Wolfgang's meer op een boottocht naar St. Gilgen in onze privé boot. Van 18 november tot 18 december hebben we het kerstevenement aan het Wolfgangmeer. Op de terugweg naar München passeren we de Mondsee, scène van de filmklassieker "De familie Trapp."

Ontmoetingspunt : 08: 10 uur voor het Buddy Hotel op Karlsplatz 21, 80335 München 08:30 uur vertrek naar Salzburg. Uitleg onderweg door de Gids. Passagiers krijgen een kaart in het Engels van het stadscentrum met gemarkeerde locaties van de bezienswaardigheden. Exacte informatie wordt gegeven door Gids. 11 : 00 - 11 : 30 AM Aankomst Salzburg, bij Bust Terminal : Paris-Lodron-Straße. Vertrektijd wordt aangekondigd door Gids. Duur van het verblijf: ongeveer 2,5 – 3 uur. Gids biedt oriëntatiewandeling door het stadscentrum : duur ca. 30 min. Vrije tijd ter beschikking van de gasten. Tijd voor lunch, sightseeing en winkelen. 14 : 15 - 14 : 45 uur Vertrek vanaf het busstation : Paris-Lodron-Straße in de richting van het Wolfgangmeer. Rit door Lake Distict : Fuschelsee.
14: 45-15: 15 PM Aankomst in St. Wolfgang / St. Gilgen. Ong. 20-35 min vrije tijd ter beschikking van de gasten. Na die optionele boottocht over het Wolfgang-meer naar St. Gilgen / St. Wolfgang. Duur ca. 35 min. Passagiers die geen boottocht willen maken, worden per tourbus naar het ontmoetingspunt gebracht (duur van de busrit ca. 30 min.) 16: 15-16: 30 PM Vertrek vanuit St. Gilgen / St. Wolfgang
Rijd door Lake District met de bus: Krotensee & Mondsee. In het dorp Mondsee is de kerk van Mondsee zichtbaar (Sounds of Music, huwelijksscène).

This trip was quite rushed, which i understand because you are travelling a long way by coach to get to the destinations. My advice would be to skip the guided part and visit the catacombs, which are just off the square with the big gold ball. Then check out the nearby streets. Later on you go to lake Wolfgangsee and village. Again, quite rushed. The village is stunning and the boat ride is very relaxing with wonderful views. This was my favourite part and worth the whole trip. This tour is very worthwhile. If you are into The Sound of Music then Salzburg is worth it. The catacombs are where the family hide from the soldiers. Instantly recognisable and a stunning location.

Salzburg Old town is a beautiful place that brings you to the past! Melanie our tour director was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our driver Savas was also prompt and skillful.

It was a great day out, our tour guide Melanie was great, also Smilie the driver, got us into Salzburg early, so we had extra time to explore the old part of the city, but of not enough time there, but that was OK, our guide highlighted lots of places of interest, I had wanted to climb upto the fortress, but not enough time, but not a problem, I had booked a half day tour the following afternoon, was planning to walk along the river, so did this on free time on todays tour, and the fortress next morning, you need to comeback to the city for at least another full day, as there is so much to see, I am not really a fan of cities, prefer outdoors more, but I loved Salzburg, after lunch we travelled to the lake district, this part of the tour us not to be missed, even if you wantonger in the city, the views from the boat ride on the lake ste magnificent, on the way back our tour guide Melanie gave us lots of information on things to do in Munich which was good.

Our trip to Salzburg and the Lake District was absolutely wonderful, and Austria 🇦🇹 has truly stole my heart. Our tour guide Monika was extremely knowledgeable and her passion for history and the beauty of this magical tour shone through and was contagious. I don't have young children but I watched how lovely and supportive she was towards the younger children on the trip. Salzburg is probably one of the most beautiful towns I've ever visited. The shops, the food, the character just gorgeous in every way. At the Lake District, I took the boat tour on my own and my husband stayed on the bus with my daughter which was no problem at all. My hubby had a good chat with the driver whom was also very friendly and helpful. The boat ride was spectacular and to see where my favourite musical was played was such a treat. The hills really did come alive for me today and I will treasure the memories forever. Monika thank you for absolutely captivating me, inspiring me all the more to keep travelling the world and being free to be me. You are a very special lady.

All of a sudden the Lake District tour was cancelled. This was not told in advance. The tour guide was also not good. Ideally you should refund the proportionate price for Lake District tour which did not happen

The title of the tour is misleading. The tour didn’t cover the Lake District as promised. And I got separated from the group from the very beginning of the guided tour and the guide tour was only for 30 minutes. So unfortunately you are just paying for the transportation from Munich to Salzburg and back for the most part.

The bus pickup point for Salzburg is on the opposite side of the road where the pickup point for other tours (Rothenburg, Neuschwanstein castle, etc) are located so be careful. The bus was comfortable and the itinerary was short and not that tiring. The tour started on time. I just hope Gray line day tours will also incorporate the use of one-sided earpiece just like what the other tour companies in Europe do. The tour guides speak softly so it was a bit difficult to hear them when you are taking pictures several feet away.

Without boat tour in lake district, it can be done much more efficient by yrain from Munich to Salzburg.
