Een van de oudste Egyptische steden, Alexandrië werd gebouwd door Alexander de Grote in 332 v.Chr. De geschiedenis van Alexandrië gaat 2.350 jaar terug. Daar bezoekt u archeologische historische sites, geniet u van het uitzicht op de Middellandse Zee en heeft u een heerlijke lunch in een restaurant direct uitzicht op de zee.

De Catacombe van Kom El-Shoqafa. Het Romeins Theater is een oud Romeins theater gelegen in het Kom El-Dikka gebied in het centrum van de stad Alexandrië in Egypte. Het is een van de overblijfselen uit de Romeinse tijd en werd opgericht aan het begin van de vierde eeuw na Christus. Dit gebouw werd bij toeval ontdekt, terwijl het vuil verwijderde om het graf van Alexander de Grote te zoeken door de Poolse missie in 1960. Archeologen noemden het het Romeinse Theater toen de marmeren trappen werden ontdekt, maar er ontstond een grote controverse over de functie van dit archeologische gebouw. Het duurde ongeveer 30 jaar om het op te graven
De Citadel van Qaitbay is een van de belangrijkste forten aan de kust van de Middellandse Zee. De Mamluk sultan al-Ashraf Abu al-Nasr Qaitbay bouwde het tussen 882 AH/ 1477 AD en 884/ 1479 AD over de ruïnes van Alexandrië’s Vuurtoren
De Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi-moskee is een Egyptische moskee in de stad Alexandrië. De historische moskee is vernoemd naar de 13e-eeuwse mysticus Abu'l Abbas al-Mursi, die ook op dezelfde plek begraven ligt samen met leden van de Ashraf familie.

After the previous day, having visited the pyramids of Giza, our expectations placed in Alexandria were high and with our guide Mariam, with an excellent Spanish, objectively we have exceeded them, visiting the Catacombs, the Roman amphitheater and finally the citadel, additional to the charm of each of these points and the cultural tour in which Mariam has answered each of our questions that have not been few, we have culminated with an excellent lunch in front of the Mediterranean. 100% recommended, we enjoyed it to the fullest. !

Well worth the trip to Alexandria, it's beautiful! There's so much to see too including the library of alexandria, the jewellery museum, national museum and catacombs. You have some extraordinary views of the sea, the colours are incredible!

to Alexandria from Cairo was wonderful. I learned a lot about the Greek and Roman history of Egypt while exploring places like the catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa and the Roman Amphitheater. In addition, the views of the Mediterranean Sea were spectacular, and lunch at a seafront restaurant was the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommended for history and natural beauty lovers
