Luang Prang is een uitstekend voorbeeld van de samensmelting van traditionele architectuur en stedelijke Lao-structuren met die van de Europese koloniale autoriteiten in de 19e en 20e eeuw. Doe met ons mee, je zult in staat zijn om de meeste hoogtepunten in de stad op je eigen manier te bezoeken.

'S Ochtends halen we u ergens vóór 9.00 uur op in de lobby van het hotel. De eerste helft van de dag wordt besteed aan een bezoek aan het museum in het voormalige Koninklijk Paleis en de kloosters van Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Saen en Vat Visoun.
Na de lunch gaan we naar het nabijgelegen traditionele Tai Lue weefdorp Ban Phanom. Dit dorp is beroemd om zijn ingewikkeld geweven textiel en unieke weeftechnieken, in vroeger tijden weefde het dorp textiel voor de koninklijke familie.
De volgende stop is de ongelooflijk schilderachtige Kuang Xi-waterval die wordt omringd door turkooisblauwe poelen en een ideale plek om te zwemmen!
Op de terugweg naar Luang Prabang stoppen we bij het Hmong-dorp Ban Na Oun, waar we zien hoe ze een uitgebreide selectie met de hand gemaakt traditioneel Lao-handwerk maken. Terug in Luang Prabang bezoeken we Wat Phousi om te genieten van het mooie uitzicht over de stad.

My guide was the person that made the tour enjoyable. Having a guide with a good personality is very helpful. All the temples did seem the same with no real outstanding features, but the tour is still worth it.
<p>I ended up being the only one on this tour! My guide was exceptionally nice and informative. Our driver was fantastic too, he always made sure I exited the car safely on the busy and chaotic streets. The guide also took me down a fun side street where his wife's family was making traditional Laos snacks. It was a wonderful experience. When walking to the car we saw more people making different thinks and my guide chatted with the people and explained the snacks they were making. This was a fantastic addition to the tour!! One thing I wasn't this biggest fan of was being brought to a village on the way to the waterfall, which was essentially just walking a path around the village, where the main objective was obviously for me to buy something. But other then that it was great.</p>
<p>Kuangsi waterfall is huge and incredible. shopping is good.</p>
