Dagexcursie naar de Etna en de Alcantara rivier vanuit Catania

Deze dagtour stelt u in staat om van een ochtendbezoek aan de Etna, de hoogste actieve vulkaan van Europa, naar de prachtige en verrassende vallei van de Alcantara-rivier in de middag te gaan. In het eerste deel van de excursie dompelt u onder in de natuur en bezoekt u oude kraters en lavastromingsgrotten, geniet u van adembenemende uitzichten en proeft u typische lokale producten. In de namiddag, voordat je de beroemde basaltkloof Gorges ziet, loop je langs de rivier de Alcantara door een weelderige vegetatie tot je de Gurne bezoekt, kleine meren die door dezelfde rivier zijn aangelegd.

We booked a tour with EtnaTribe that included Mount Etna, a tasting of regional specialties, and the Alcantara Gorges – and we can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. The reason for this has a name: Lorenzo. From the very first minute, Lorenzo inspired us with his passion for the region. He really took the time for us, answered every question in detail, and shared countless interesting facts and stories that made the day so much more vibrant. We were particularly impressed that he even showed us some hidden places off the standard program – little treasures that we would never have found on our own. The combination of volcanic adventure, culinary enjoyment, and the breathtaking nature of the Alcantara Gorges was already extraordinary – with Lorenzo as our guide, it became a truly unforgettable day. It was an amazing experience. Our guide Flavio was really friendly and made sure we enjoyed from the begining to the end. Etna views and the whole Gole dell Alcantara were beautiful and the Flavios explanation about the vulcano and the city were top notch. He tailored the explanation to our areas of interest. Really recommend this tour.
Had a great tour guide in Favio who made the day so much more enjoyable. Mount Etna was a different and enjoyable experience. I would like to have had the time to do a longer hike further up the mountain, The second part of the tour at Alicantara Rriver Gorge was really something to see. The rock formation within the gorge caused by volcanic eruptions is amazing, the water is crystal clear but very cold. Definately worth the 236 steps! Great day, just would have liked perhaps another hour at Mount Etna.
Thomas gave the most enjoyable and informative tour. Very conscious of everyone's needs. While hiking the volcano he knew all the alternate trails to the craters to avoid steep climbs. Took a few side excursions to see the Alcantara River from different perspectives. Highly recommend this and other etnaTribe tours - very professional.

I recommend this tour with Etnatribe thousands of times. As a family, we sincerely believe that our experience would not have been the same if we had left on our own. We left with an absolutely perfect Francophone guide (Edouardo) who introduced us to his passion for the region and his knowledge of Etna. Thanks to him, we got a skip-the-line ticket to the cable car but we were able to discover widely what we needed at 2500 m - 2600 m, without the need to take the 4x4 to climb higher. The day continued with the passage by an old lava tube and then to the beautiful Alcantara Gorge, provided you agree to set foot in frozen water. I hesitated a long time before paying this tour and I really have no regrets. Thank you so much, Etnatribe!
What an amazing day! Climbing Mt Etna was incredible and our tour guide Florence was so knowledgeable - telling us about the different eruptions and craters along the way up. We then had a wine and food tasting which was excellent, had time to have some lunch before heading to a lava cave tour, and then we ended the day going to Taormina to the Alicantara gorge. A full day of exploring, it was such a great experience. I could not recommend Florence, our tour guide for the day, enough. She was a star - she was so friendly and kind, and really got to know us throughout the day. She went over and beyond and we can’t thank her enough 😊
Stefano was the perfect host. Polite, funny and extremely knowledgeable of the volcano and its surrounding ecosystem. My 14 year old daughter and I would absolutely recommend this tour.

It was a great experience in magical places. The pick up was on time right from our hotel. The bus - comfortable with conditioner. The gid Lorenco very kind and knowledgeable - explained and reply on every question with the enthusiasm. Totally respecting all our needs The River beautiful - must see. I suggest to take swimming suit and water shoes. Etna - must see with you own eyes!!! I was with mother who cant walk a long or heavy distances. There wasn't any problem with that!
