In de ochtend komt er een auto langs je heen vanaf je hostel of Airbnb plaats en als je wilt ook bij het verzamelpunt om je naar het heiligdom te brengen. We zullen een unieke en onvergetelijke tijd delen. We zullen een mooie dag hebben met inheemse dieren uit het sierra en jungle gebied. We zullen in hun huizen zien : apen, ara's, schildpadden, herten, hertenkatten, alpaca's, beren, wilde katten, vossen, condors onder anderen. Het doel is om te helpen en te leren over onze missie, namelijk om te onderwijzen, dus we nodigen scholen en het publiek in het algemeen uit om kinderen te leren onze natuur en dieren te respecteren. Ons doel is een aantal van hen vrij te maken van hun natuurlijke habitat. De verbinding met dieren is een onvergetelijke ervaring. Na de tour hebben de deelnemers vrije tijd omdat het een tour alleen voor de deelnemers is en we hen terug naar hun accommodatie of naar het centrale plein van Cusco brengen

An excellent experience. The refuge was beautiful, I congratulate you on your dedication, the animals are well cared for. The guide was very kind and taught us a lot about the wildlife of Peru. The driver, José, was very helpful and pleasant. Beautiful refuge. Everything 100% recommended.
The experience was fantastic! I had the opportunity to see from close and even have direct contact with some of the animals. The guide was super attentive and I learned a lot about local animals.
This is an unbelievable experience and one of the best things to do from Cusco at a bargain of a price, that all goes towards a great cause too. The sanctuary is aimed at rehabilitating animals and getting them ready to return to the wild, taking in animals from all over Peru, allowing for a great snapshot at the incredible wildlife the country has to offer. Alberto is a phenomenal and enthusiastic guide, the tour allows you to feed many animals and interact with even more. It’s an amazing tour for kids or adults. Can’t recommend this experience enough, and the fact that they offer comfortable pick up and drop off from your hotel in Cusco makes it a can’t miss activity for all of Peru.
Amazing place and people taking care of these animals. Julin̈ho was so kind and obviously cared a lot for the animals. Really interesting day hearing a lot about them, and lots of petting/feeding the animals that were friendly enough to do so. Julin̈ho made sure I saw all the animals as close as possible. The animals seemed happy and well cared for, and there is even a veterinarian there. I recommend this place with all my heart!
I first came for a visit because in my work as a natural healer I am deeply involved with animals on our planet. I wanted to see how the wildlife sanctuary is working because I've never had such experience before. Firstly, I was impressed by the beautiful and large space of the sanctuary in the middle of the nature which is the important point for animals wellbeing. It's important to know that all the animals living in the sanctuary were victims of unforgivable human behaviour. They need healthy food, attention and care to feel safe and loved. I was happy to see that the employees of the sanctuary heartfully follow their mission and do whatever is needed for these important beings, our guardians on the planet Earth. I connected with animals spirit at my first visit and I knew immediately that I would soon come back. I came for a week as a volunteer - I wanted to give, to serve but at the end I also received so much knowledge, wisdom and joy. It was a powerful experience which will forever mark my life on a way that I will even more spread the word about our duty to preserve the animal kingdom and educate younger generations how to treat animals. The Cochauasi Animal Sanctuary is a great place of education which is the foundation stone for the future, to live in symbiosis with all the beings. As a volunteer I saw and followed the daily protocoles and tasks which are not easy, so I can say - hats off for the devotion of all the employees. That's why the visit and any kind of donations are so important for the continuity of this noble work.
It is a wonderful place!!! The little animals are super well cared for, rescue them and give them a better life!!! Thank you for such a wonderful mission. Super recommended the visit to the sanctuary, you can not miss it!!! And you can live with the little animals!!! Really beautiful!!!
This was an incredible experience from start to finish. The driver picked me up right on time and was very friendly. He even suggested spots to take pictures along the way. The sanctuary tour guide was very informative and it was clear that the animals are loved and well cared for. I loved feeding the birds, alpacas, monkeys, and llamas. My favorite part was petting the toucan! It was shy at first but when I asked to go back at the end of the tour to take a picture with it, the workers were able to bring him out so I could pet my favorite animal for the first time! I highly recommend going here as it is a wonderful sanctuary and a short drive from Cusco.
I visited the animal shelter in December, and the experience was amazing and special. Albert gave us an in depth tour with great patience and care, sharing the story of each animal where they came from, what they had been through, and how they were rescued. The hospitality was wonderful, the atmosphere pleasant, the animals are sweet, and the people there are kind, warm, and driven by a real sense of purpose. At the end of the tour, you get to feed the alpacas a fun and funny experience. This was the most enjoyable experience I had in Cusco and is highly recommended for anyone who loves animals.
Everything worked perfectly the pick up the guide and the interaction with the animals was the highlight. Support this noble cause.
Lovely and educational place. Nice project! We were very well oriented. And finally, seeing a condor flying over us is something unforgettable.
