Je sightseeingtour begint in de Artisans' Quarters van San Blas om de kerk en het bijzonder indrukwekkende houtsnijwerk te bezoeken. Op weg naar de kathedraal stop je bij de Hatun Rumiyoc-straat waar de beroemde twaalfhoekige steen is. In de kathedraal heb je de gelegenheid om het prachtige houtwerk en de koloniale schilderijen te zien voordat je terugkeert naar je hotel in Cusco.
De kathedraalbasiliek van de Hemelvaart van de Maagd, ook bekend als de kathedraal van Cusco, is de moederkerk van het rooms-katholieke aartsbisdom van Cusco. De kathedraal bevindt zich op de Plaza de Armas. Het hele gebouw werd gebouwd tussen 1560-1654.
Oorspronkelijk Intikancha of Intiwasi genoemd, was het opgedragen aan Inti en bevindt het zich in de oude Inca-hoofdstad van Cusco. Meestal vernietigd na de 16e-eeuwse oorlog met de Spaanse veroveraars, vormt veel van het metselwerk de basis van de kerk en het klooster van Santo Domingo.
De oude markt van San Pedro, in het midden van de stad Cusco, is een ongelooflijke plek om de lokale bevolking te ontmoeten, de boodschappen, aardappelen, inca-likdoorns, oropesa-broden, kazen en wat handwerk te zien. Very good guide and friendly
The Temple Religioso Arzobispal was well worth the visit even though it only took half an hour to see all there was.The lady on the entrance really helped us by showing us the cheap multi visit option with the Cathedral and the Sagrada Família to be used within a month.I think her name was Irena It was our first visit to Cusco and we weren’t disappointed.The Biap Boleto was great alum for money at only 50Sol
Amazing city with a lot of history, it is to come 15 days, the only thing I did not like is the smell of constant pee, and see people pissing as if nothing happened.
Guide is very knowledgeable and timed the tour perfectly. The sites visited were great examples of Cusco history.
This is a scam! First of all it’s a bus tour (we spend 45 min OF TOUR TIME picking everybody up) The itinerary did not correspond to the description (you won’t see San Blas, for example) and you’ll spend 45 min in the central market looking at fruits (and get very short and superficial information about actual Inka History and Buildings). Don’t do it!
The tour was great and took me to some great sights in Cusco. The Temple of the Sun was particulary good to learn about. I only wish the tour had lasted a little bit longer. Though because I was the only person on the tour, perhaps it would be longer if there were more persons.
Nice tour of the city. Small group and flexible. Moved around by car efficiently despite being able to do this on foot.
