I had a wonderful time learning drums and pandeiro. The professor was very patient and the organization super attentive. Highly recomended if you are visiting salvador de bahía

The drumming experience was perfect, we enjoyed every bit of it! However, the carnival experience was not the best. It's supposed to start at 8pm, but it only started at 10pm+. They explained it's because they had to wait for their parade turn (understandable, but we were not informed earlier, we were just there waiting.) We finally started walking as a group, saw some parades, I left at 1am, but still didn't get to get into the bloco circle. Didn't feel included at all, don't know what's the point of paying so much, I'd prefer going to the carnival on my own. Felt disappointed as it was my only day and only chance to join the carnival in Salvador. Summary: You can join the drumming class, but avoid joining their bloco during carnival.
We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the drumming experience — that means a lot to us. Regarding Carnival. This is not a product or structured tour in the same way as our classes, but a live participation in Salvador’s traditional street Carnival, which follows its own rhythm, timing and dynamics. That cannot be controlled or scheduled in the same way as a workshop - just like we explained previously. We clearly communicated that this experience is best suited for those open to embracing the dynamic, unpredictable and social nature of Carnival. We understand that this type of experience may not suit everyone, especially those expecting a structured or time-defined activity, but it reflects the authentic reality of Carnival in Salvador. Every participant in your group continued through the night and fully experienced the energy, fun, connection, and inclusion. It is also important to note that your total contribution covered two participants and expenses such as food and drinks were shared collectively throughout the night among everyone who joined the experience. While we respect your perspective, we believe that this type of cultural immersion is best enjoyed with openness to its rhythm and spontaneity. We hope that in your future travels, you will have the opportunity to approach similar experiences in a way that allows for a deeper connection and enjoyment.
Lovely experience, Yasmin was so helpful with setting up a time to visit their space and Ogã was a really wonderful teacher and talented musician, taking me from a place of total inexperience to drumming with a lot of joy. Would be thrilled to visit again, both for more learning as well as the other experiences they offer.

I loved this class and highly recommend it if you're in Salvador! Yasmin is a fantastic and very knowledgeable teacher, I learnt a lot about the various instruments and their cultural significance. You don't need to be a musician, just come along and you'll have some good fun :)

Amazing drumming lesson in the historic centre. Yasmin is a very friendly and warm personality with a great teaching style. We worked with various diferent instruments and it has been the highlight of my trip in Salvador. 100% must do activity!!
