Ervaar het beste van de noordelijke Cotswolds met een leuke, vriendelijke lokale gids in een kleine groep van maximaal 16 personen. We verkennen de pittoreske steden en dorpen van Cotswold, waaronder Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury en Bourton-on-the-Water. Er is ook het prachtige uitzichtpunt Dover's Hill, schilderachtige achterafwegen en ons "geheime" buiten de gebaande paden gelegen dorp, waarvan veel klanten het erover eens zijn dat het een hoogtepunt van de tour is! Tours vertrekken vanuit Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, of vanuit Moreton-in-Marsh in de Cotswolds, dus maak een ideale dagtocht voor bezoekers die in deze steden verblijven. Het is ook heel gemakkelijk om een dagtrip te maken met de trein van Londen Paddington, Oxford of Worcester (naar Moreton-in-Marsh), of van Birmingham (naar Stratford-upon-Avon). Als u vanuit Londen of Oxford reist, denken we dat het het beste is om de trein naar de Cotswolds te nemen en hier een tour te maken - u zult al het verkeer overslaan, een charmante, schilderachtige treinrit maken en nog langer in de prachtige Cotswolds doorbrengen!

Tijdens deze tour verken je de Cotswolds
Passagiers die deelnemen aan de tour in Stratford-upon-Avon worden om 08.50 uur opgehaald bij Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal. Vervolgens reizen we naar de Cotswoldse stad Moreton-in-Marsh, waar we om 9.30 uur onze laatste gasten ophalen van het treinstation van Moreton-in-Marsh. Vanaf Moreton-in-Marsh is het 15 minuten rijden naar onze eerste officiële halte. We zorgen onderweg voor een introductie van de tour.
Het is slechts een korte rit naar onze eerste stop, het uitkijkpunt op Dover's Hill, en een lange weg zal uw chauffeur-gids beginnen met hun vermakelijke commentaar en u het verhaal van de Cotswolds vertellen. Bij het uitkijkpunt geniet je van een prachtig uitzicht en leer je over enkele van de meer eigenzinnige tradities van de Cotswolds! *Bij slecht weer kunnen we de stop bij Dover's Hill overslaan. Bij mooi weer is het prachtig, maar bij nat weer kan het erg modderig zijn!
Chipping Campden is een charmant en typisch marktstadje in de Cotswolds, vol geschiedenis en erfgoed, maar ook de thuisbasis van geweldige onafhankelijke winkels en uitstekende koffie en cake! Met behulp van de kaarten die we leveren, heb je hier ongeveer een uur om Chipping Campden zelf te verkennen en te ontdekken.
Via de smalle achterstraatjes bezoeken we ongeveer 20 minuten ons "geheime" Cotswolds dorp. Dit is een off-the-beaten-track locatie waarvan veel van onze klanten het erover eens zijn dat het het mooiste dorp van de tour is!
Stow-on-the-Wold, de hoogstgelegen stad in de Cotswolds, is een bruisende, historische marktstad met veel goede winkels en een verscheidenheid aan uitstekende plekken om te lunchen (lunch niet inbegrepen). We stoppen hier ongeveer 1 uur en 15 minuten, en met de kaarten die we bieden, kun je op je gemak de hoogtepunten van Stow verkennen.
Via de smalle achterste rijstroken is het ongeveer 30-40 minuten rijden van Stow-on-the-Wold naar Bibury. Bibury is een klein maar perfect gevormd dorp in de Cotswolds, ooit door William Morris omschreven als "de mooiste van Engeland". Ga met ons mee op tour om te zien of u het daarmee eens bent!
Na Bibury is het een prachtige rit van 30 minuten naar Bourton-on-the-Water, onze laatste stop voordat onze klanten terugkeren naar waar ze begonnen waren. Bourton-on-the-Water, beschreven als het "Venetië van de Cotswolds", is een dorp met een ansichtkaart en met stenen bruggen van Cotswolds over de rivier de Windrush die dwars door het centrum van het dorp loopt. Het is erg populair bij bezoekers, vooral op een warme dag wanneer peddelen in de rivier de favoriete tijd is, maar een tour door de Cotswolds zou niet compleet zijn zonder een stop hier.
Passagiers die zich bij ons voegden in Moreton-in-Marsh, keren we hier terug om u om ongeveer 17.00 uur af te zetten. Als u met de trein van Moreton-in-Marsh reist, raden we u altijd aan een flexibel ticket te kopen waarmee u elke retourtrein kunt nemen en/of van plan bent om na 17.00 uur te vertrekken. We gaan dan terug naar Stratford-upon-Avon om onze laatste gasten rond 17.30 uur af te zetten. Wilt u de tour starten bij de ene opstapplaats en afgezet worden bij een andere, geen probleem! - Er zijn twee opstapplaatsen voor deze tour: Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal, Stratford-upon-Avon – Vertrek om 08:50 uur; Moreton-in-Marsh Rail Station – Vertrek om 09:30 uur. Houd er rekening mee dat de starttijd van de tour op uw ticket 08:50 kan worden weergegeven, ongeacht de door u gekozen ophaallocatie. Als u echter Moreton-in-Marsh hebt geselecteerd, is uw werkelijke vertrektijd 09:30 uur. Gelieve minstens 5 minuten voor uw geplande vertrek aanwezig te zijn.
- Kijk uit naar onze vriendelijke gids in Go Cotswolds uniform, rijdend in een grote witte minibus met groene en paarse Go Cotswolds branding - u zult ons niet missen!
- Controleer uw geselecteerde ophaalpunt. Af en toe stoppen we niet bij beide, dus op de verkeerde locatie aankomen kan resulteren in achterblijven. - Als u met de trein in Moreton-in-Marsh aankomt, is de trein die aankomt om ongeveer 09:17–09:20 ideaal. Het is een klein station, en het is slechts een 1-2 minuten lopen naar de parkeerplaats waar uw gids u zal ontmoeten.
- Als u met de trein in Stratford-upon-Avon aankomt, houd er dan rekening mee dat ons opstappunt op 5-10 minuten lopen van het station ligt. Houd er rekening mee dat er op zondag geen treinen aankomen voordat de tour vertrekt.
- Uber en soortgelijke diensten zijn niet algemeen beschikbaar in de Cotswolds, en lokale taxi's kunnen moeilijk zijn om last minute te boeken. Wij raden u ten zeerste aan om vooraf taxi’s te boeken of waar mogelijk het openbaar vervoer te gebruiken.
- Als u niet op tijd bij uw ophaalpunt bent (08:50 in Stratford-upon-Avon, 09:30 in Moreton-in-Marsh) en we kunnen geen contact met u opnemen, vertrekt de tour zonder u. Zorg ervoor dat we uw juiste mobiele nummer met internationale kiescode hebben voor uw tour.
- Na de tour kunt u de verdere reis als volgt plannen: van Moreton-in-Marsh: Na 17:00 uur; vanuit Stratford-upon-Avon: Na 17:30 uur
- We hebben voldoende beveiligde bagageruimte aan boord van onze voertuigen, maar houd er rekening mee dat onze gidsen mogelijk niet kunnen helpen met zeer zware bagage
- Kinderen van 3 tot 15 jaar moeten te allen tijde worden begeleid door een volwassene. Sorry, geen kinderen jonger dan 3.

If you’re considering a day tour of the Cotswolds, stop looking and book with Go Cotswolds. My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful day exploring one of the most beautiful regions of England. Our itinerary included Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury, Snowshill, Chipping Campden, and the breathtaking views from Dover’s Hill. Every stop had its own unique character—from charming villages and historic streets to stunning countryside that looked like something out of a storybook. We never felt rushed, and the pacing of the day was perfect. What truly made this tour exceptional, however, was our guide, Stephen. He grew up in the Cotswolds, and that lifelong connection shines through in everything he does. His passion for the area is contagious, and his knowledge goes far beyond dates and facts. He shared fascinating local history, stories, traditions, and personal insights that brought each village to life in a way no guidebook ever could. Stephen’s energy, enthusiasm, and genuine love for the Cotswolds made the experience unforgettable. He was engaging, personable, funny, and clearly proud to share his home with visitors. By the end of the day, we felt like we had experienced the Cotswolds through the eyes of someone who truly loves it. Honestly, the best tour I’ve ever done! I had booked at a few options for my visit to the Cotswolds and I’m so glad I went with this one. Couldn’t fault it from start to finish. The communication prior was great, the day ran smoothly in this regard too as well as promptness of pick up times etc. The information given throughout the tour was engaging, and a really fascinating overview about the Cotswolds and beyond. Go, Cotswold Tours! How should I begin? First, Elaine our tour guide! She was magnificent! Sooooo knowledgeable about all things Cotswold! 🎉 Great driver! Controlled the magnificent GoCotswald van so incredibly ! Because those tiny roads..she is a pro ! She was incredibly respectful,because all the drivers coming towards us she thanks everyone always. Secondly, she treated everyone with love and respect! Also, Elaine remembered everybody’s name ! What a wonderful experience Elaine gave us! We even got to see the sheep! So lovely all of it! Lastly, we stopped at Stow on the Wold. Where we dined, shopped at Tara’s Antiques. Also stopped at Chipping Campden where I shopped at Stuart House Antiques and I bought a Staffordshire figure of a dog. A gift of bringing to my sister. We head back to Shakespeare coach Terminal. When I noticed I did not have the little grey bag. I was very sad and disappointed. We went back to all places I had been after I made the purchase at Stuart House antiques. Continued our Vacation now in London proper when I received a text saying that the cleaning person while cleaning the tour bus had found the little gray bag. GoCotswald shipped to me!!
