Het Quiet Man Museum biedt een ervaring op de set met exacte replica's van alle belangrijke meubels en artefacten uit de film, waaronder het grote bed van Sean Thornton, de cottage-piano van Mary Kate, porselein, tin, wieg en de tandemfiets, evenals kostuums gemaakt door hetzelfde bedrijf - O'Maille's uit Galway - dat ze in 1951 voor John Ford maakte. Liefhebbers van Quiet Man kunnen zich verkleden in kostuum voor foto's. Het Quiet Man Museum herbergt de originele hengel die werd gebruikt door pater Lonergan en Michaeleen Og's paard Napoleon's originele harnas en een eerste editie van de Maurice Walsh-verzameling korte verhalen, Green Rushes, waarop het scenario voor The Quiet Man was gebaseerd. Het Quiet Man Museum is een exacte replica van 'White O'Morn', het voorouderlijk huis van het personage van John Wayne in The Quiet Man-film, aangezien het oorspronkelijke huisje nu in puin ligt en de binnenkant een Hollywood-set was. Absolutely amazing experience we had learned so much on this tour even my 10 year old son loved it.
Perfect tour of the museum for fans of the movie. There is a lot of information presented in the museum. There are lots of items from the movie. There is plenty of information given about all the sites in the surrounding areas of the movie. I would highly recommend visiting this museum for fans of this classic movie.

A nice experience if you are a Quiet man fan. Three rooms of original and replica items from the film and a lot of information from newspapers at the time of the making of the film.
Lovely little spot , brings the quite man to life , seeing the places wer it was made , beautiful scenery, and pubs good for entertainment, good for overnight stay, as it only small village ,
We had a wonderful time in Cong . On the day we visited we actually didn't need our skip the line tickets, it was a slow day. However, we also purchased the tour. The tour was worth every penny. Our tour guide was so well informed and had a wonderful sense of humor. Overall it was a wonderful travel experience.

When my husband and I planned our once in a lifetime visit to Ireland, we told our travel agency that the main reason I had always dreamed of going to Ireland was because of The Quiet Man movie. You could say I’m a Quit Man crazy fan!! My #1 site to see in Ireland was the Quiet Man Museum. You can imagine my heart break when our travel agent told us at the last minute that the museum was closed for the season. I was devastated!! My husband relayed our disappointment with them telling them they should have checked into that right away before we booked our trip in October 2023. Well they came through for us and contacted the folks that run the museum and they very graciously opened the museum just for us for a private visit!! Gerry met us at the museum. He was outstanding!! It was so surreal for me. He told us his family history with the movie. Several of his family members were extras in the film. Not only did he give us a private tour of the museum, he took us on a private tour in his car to the sites where the picture was filmed in the city of Cong. Words cannot express my Joy. I will be forever grateful to Gerry and his gracious hospitality and to our travel agency. They made my dream come true!! If you ever are blessed to take a trip to Ireland make sure you visit this site, you won’t regret it!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU a hundred times over!!!
