Excellent day in Munich. I had many misconceptions about Dachau and the effect the 3rd Reich on Munich's history. Alun's insights and deep knowledge will leave you with a different perspective. Alun handles all the logistics smoothly. Go with the expert.
Alun is well informed, articulate and well organized. Equally important is his message that is spot on…the objective is to not to only see buildings where terror and horror took place…the objective is to recognize that a totalitarian government emerged from a democracy, and that ordinary people became evil…the message is to understand and accept how vulnerable our governments can be, and how malleable human beings can be, and to never be silent again.

Alun did an outstanding job of not only describng the Dachau camp environment, but explaining how these concentration camps were allowed to happen. I hadn't fully understood the political environment in Germany at the time. He painted a full picture of the many concentration camps and how they were able to exist and even flourish without pushback from the populace.
