Rondleiding door het gebied waar de fictie "Inspecteur Montalbano" zich afspeelt. Ben je klaar om Vigata, Marinella en Montelusa te ontdekken? Wil je in dezelfde straten lopen waar Montalbano onderzoekt? Met onze tour heb je een filmvakantie! Met onze tour kunt u Montalbano Sicilië bezoeken en de geschiedenis en cultuur van Ragusa, Scicli, Modica, Punta Secca, Donnalucata en het kasteel Donnafugata ontdekken. We vergezellen je tussen de beroemdste monumenten, tussen prachtige kerken en barokke paleizen, we zullen het Iblea-landschap oversteken en bij de zee aankomen. We zullen u kunnen adviseren over de lekkerste typische specialiteiten en ervaringen om te leven: het wordt een onvergetelijke reis!

Eerste stop bij "Castello di Donnafugata", in de fictie de woning van de lokale baas Don Balduccio Sinagra.
We gaan verder naar Punta Secca (Marinella in de fictie) om van buitenaf het huis van Montalbano te bezoeken en vlakbij het zandstrand waar hij zwemt.
We gaan verder naar Donnalucata, waar de aflevering "de vorm van water" meestal is ingesteld. In feite is de promenade van Donnalucata, die in de fictie Marinella wordt genoemd, het hoofdscenario van deze aflevering. Het wordt echter vaak gebruikt in veel andere afleveringen van The Inspector Montalbano.
Daarna bereiken we het barokke dorp Scicli. Korte wandeling voor een bezoek aan het prachtige historische centrum van baroue (Montelusa in de fictie), 'Palazzo Comunale' (het stadhuis), het politiebureau van Vigata in de fictie, en 'Palazzo Iacono', het hoofdkantoor van de politie.
We gaan verder naar Modica, waarvan het historische centrum ook in barokstijl is. De prachtige trap van de Sint-Joriskathedraal was de protagonist van de aflevering "Tocco d'artista". Het prachtige uitzicht over de stad, de kerken en paleizen in barokstijl en de karakteristieke steegjes vormen het decor voor vele andere scènes van de fictie. Een verplichte stop aan het einde van de tour door het historische centrum is de Antica Cioccolateria Bonajuto, waar het mogelijk is om de beroemde en heerlijke Modica Chocolate te proeven in zijn vele geuren.
We eindigen met het bezoek van de prachtige Piazza Duomo van Ragusa Ibla, met zijn barokke kerk van San Giorgio, die het centrale plein van Vigata, het denkbeeldige dorp Montalbano, vertegenwoordigt. Het uitzicht op Ibla met de koepel van de verlichte kathedraal verschijnt achter Montalbano in de aflevering Een sprietje licht, wanneer de commissaris, gast van de uitgever van Vigata Rete Libera, een interview aflevert. De kathedraal van San Giorgio en het plein van Ragusa Ibla keren terug in vele afleveringen van de tv-serie. Wanneer de commissaris op het centrale plein of in de kerk van Madre di Vigata stopt, bewonderen we de prachtige barokke stijl van Ragusa Ibla, het plein en de Duomo. De kerk van Santa Maria delle Scale, de trap en het prachtige panorama van Ragusa Ibla vormen de achtergrond voor een overvaller in de aflevering "Gatto e Cardellino". De Circolo di Conversazione, met uitzicht op de Piazza Duomo, is de plek waar Montalbano vaak cabecoi verbreekt aan dokter Pasquano speelkaarten. Veel scènes worden binnen en buiten de cirkel gefilmd. In de aflevering "La luna di carta" betreedt de commissaris de rokerige kamers van de Club, onder notabelen en rijke mensen van Vigata-speelkaarten, en ontmoet de geërgerde Pasquano die met valse beleefdheid en ironische grappen de vragen van Montalbano beantwoordt. Het Giardino Ibleo ligt niet ver van het restaurant da Calogero. In Vigata wordt de stadstuin een elegant verpleeghuis waar Montalbano naar de aflevering La luna di carta gaat. Op de met bomen omzoomde tuinpaden ontmoet de commissaris een oude dief die een sleutel toont om te ontdekken wat hij kan openen.

We had a wonderful, enjoyable Montalbano tour with our guide, Giuseppe with Taxi Catania NCC. He was an excellent driver and knowledgeable about Montalbano filming destinations and each location! Now we will be able to revisit these beautiful destinations again as a memory and see them again on TV Montalbano! Thank you!
The Commissario Montalbano tour was conducted by Riccardo from Taxi Catania NCC. He was very knowledgeable about the series, but also Sicily in general and the significance of the locations used in the TV series. Excellent tour. Anyone that enjoyed the Montalbano television series should take this tour. Ricardo was friendly, polite, and fluent in English, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable about the places where the series was filmed.
Ricardo was an excellent knowledgable guide, couldn’t have been more helpful and considerate This trip is a must do for all Inspector Montalbano fans , the highlight being able to visit the actual film sets that are still in Scicli town hall which doubled as the police station

Excursions Sicily, private tour with Eduardo was fabulous. nothing was too much trouble. We didn't (as expected) take just external photographs of the police station and mafia boss' house, we went inside them for only 6 euros each! Outside Insp. Montalbano's house( and Enzo's restaurant) was fabulous and relatively quiet, a stroll on 'the' beach was most welcome. We visited Modica en route and sampled and bought some beautiful chocolate there. Well worth the visit. The car was immaculate and Eduardo's driving was fist class.
This was the most brilliant experience and a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday with my friends. Riccardo and Annalisa were the most thoughtful, attentive, interesting and informative guides and made sure we saw Montalbano’s house, ate at his table in the restaurant at Punta Secca and toured the police station in Scicli-even getting photos in his office ! It was so much more than we could’ve wished for and I highly recommend the trip. Not only did we see more of the Sicily but we learned so much about it too! Emblematic places of a cult series such as El Coimisario Montalbano. Too bad I was closing (apparently definitely) the restaurant Enzo a Mare location next door a few meters from the house, which is where Salvo used to have lunch with a good wine. Mur near there is Scili where the commissioner is.-
Our private taxi journey of more than 9 hours took us around all the major locations used in the TV series. Our driver Ricardo, was very knowledgeable both of the TV series and Sicilian life. In our journey we touched upon about every subject of modern Sicily as well as the history with Greek, Roman and Arab heritage. This tour is not just a change to experience the sets and locations used in the 1990s series, it's a chance to see inside Sicilian life. We thoroughly recommend it.
