Climbing Baptism + Climbing the Sugarloaf Mountain

I signed up and there was zero communication from the team. That was big red flag number 1. I reached out to them via the trip advisor app, still no response. I woke up early to be ready for pick up as the confirmation instructed. No one ever came. I called the companies WhatsApp, but I kept on getting disconnected and never got to speak to a human. Still no word from the company either way. I Requested a refund and trip advisor said it could take a week to determine IF it qualifies. As far as I’m concerned, this is a scam listing. Stay away!

Bad experience, it’s a scam, ruined my holiday. I have chosen the most expensive package USD 125 to include pick up from hotel, but the guide didn’t showed up and even spent 2 days in getting in touch with the agent with no feedback. No apology ever been given but USD 125 have been charged on my card.

No Pickup, no contact to tour operator, no tour! 👎🏿 Very weak performance. Until now no money back! Never again with this company!

I booked the tour the day before and had Viator confirm the pickup again by phone with time and place. The local organizer could not be reached by phone at any time, the answering machine I tried several times, but without feedback! On the morning of the tour I was not picked up and also viator could not reach anyone at the organizer! The Enterprise has not contacted me to date...

The climbing tour with Diogo was the highlight of our Rio stay. In the morning we met for the climbing introduction and practiced about 2.5/3:00 climbing technique. After that we climbed Sugarloaf Mountain. Diogo is a very experienced and extremely friendly guide. He had the equipment with him, we felt very well looked after the whole time and even during the tricky climbing passages we felt safe with him by the side. Diogo told us a lot about land , people and nature, so we got a good insight into the life of the Cariocas! This experience was great Dizziness, sure-footedness and very good condition are a must for this ingenious experience. We are looking forward to Diogo on our next Rio stay and would love to go hiking with him.

Super recommended! A different way to tour and travel. Very nice views and Diogo is super good person! plus he speaks many languages so they will have no problem:)

I loved this climb, it was impressive! Diogo is a good guide with whom we had a lot of fun we laughed a lot and felt safe throughout our journey. Diogo is very generous of his time and has a lot of knowledge in climbing, hiking, outdoors in Brazil!He advised us a lot for our other outings.

I climbed the Sugarloaf with 3 of my friends. Diogo was a very good guide. He is very friendly and knowledgeable of the surroundings. He speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and even a little bit of French. He guided us to the top by hiking off the beaten paths. At some point, we even had to rock climb our way up. He carried all the climbing equipment and entertained us all the way, while still making sure we were safe. The hike/climb was intense, probably the steapest I walked, but it was not very long. Just long enough to be tired and to feel rewarded when we reached the top. For our group, the climb itself was more enjoyable than the view at the top. I recommend this 100% if you are adventurous. The views we had on the way up were even better than the ones at the top. Finally, when you walk/climb up, you can use the cable car to go down for free. So you get to see and to enjoy all sides of the Sugarloaf.

I recommend! For those who like climbing very good. Very fine people Diogo. It's very worth it. Great view from Via Ricardo Prado. Highly recommended.

F-yeah! My (amazing) wife booked this activity for both of us as a birthday present. It was our first time and Diogo was the best guide we could have asked for!
