Deze dagtour vertrekt dagelijks vanuit Limerick City en gaat naar de schilderachtige westkust van Ierland! Begin de dag met een mooie rit door County Clare en ga verder naar de Cliffs of Moher, waar je 1,5 uur stopt. Bezoekerskosten bij de Cliffs zijn bij de tourprijs inbegrepen en u ontvangt een gratis kaartje voor de bekroonde Atlantic Edge-tentoonstelling, waarin verschillende elementen van de machtige Cliffs of Moher worden onderzocht. De tour voert je door een deel van de Wild Atlantic Way en op heldere dagen heb je adembenemende uitzichten op de Aran-eilanden. De regio rond de kliffen staat bekend als de Burren-regio. Bewonder dit ongewone rotsachtige landschap terwijl we rijden! Geniet van een korte foto- en ruststop bij Bunratty Castle, voordat je terugkeert naar Limerick! We verlaten de historische stad Limerick en onderweg bezoeken we King Johns Castle en de rivier de Shannon. We gaan verder via County Clare naar de westkust van Ierland.
We brengen 1,5 uur door bij de Cliffs of Moher - een van 's werelds grootste natuurlijke attracties. De kliffen zijn 1/3 zo groot als het Empire State Building en herbergen grote populaties papegaaiduikers en jan-van-genten. U kunt genieten van een wandeling of een ontspannen wandeling, terwijl u verbaasd uitkijkt over deze geologische en natuurlijke schoonheid. De Cliffs of Moher hebben ook winkels en restaurants, van snacks tot souvenirs in overvloed. Bezoekerskosten bij de kliffen zijn inbegrepen in de tourprijs, wat u EUR 10,00 bespaart. Je ontvangt ook een gratis kaartje voor de bekroonde Atlantic Edge-tentoonstelling, waarin alle aspecten van de machtige Cliffs of Moher worden onderzocht.
We vertrekken vanaf de Cliffs of Moher voor een stop in Liscannor, een klein dorpje in het westen van Ierland, waar u misschien wilt genieten van een heerlijke lokale lunch (optioneel), misschien een zeevruchtensoep of lamsstoofpot met een regionaal ambachtelijk bier (optioneel). Er zijn opties voor iedereen, van rood vlees tot veganistisch en alles daartussenin. Onderweg hebben we een prachtig uitzicht op de Atlantische kust en de Aran-eilanden.
Vanmiddag sluiten we de dag af met een spectaculaire rit langs de kust door het kalkstenen landschap van de Wild Atlantic Way. De regio om ons heen staat bekend als de Burren: een ongelooflijk lokaal landschap!
Op de terugweg naar Limerick stoppen we voor verfrissingen, toiletten en koffie, frisdrank, water etc. In plaats van te stoppen bij een tankstation langs de snelweg is deze verfrissingsstop bij het middeleeuwse Bunratty Castle - veel interessanter! Geniet van een korte wandeling om je benen te strekken, maak snel wat foto's en misschien wat snelle souveniraankopen in de winkel. We gaan binnenkort weer op pad om u terug in Limerick te hebben om u op te frissen voorafgaand aan de avondentertainmentarrangementen.
We verlaten Bunratty Castle voor de korte terugrit naar Limerick. De tour eindigt ongeveer om 16.30 uur. (Passagiers van.UL houden er rekening mee dat u vanwege verkeersomstandigheden wordt afgezet in het stadscentrum)

The cliffs are fantastic as is the stop at the baby cliffs. You do get some amazing views.The lunch stop is a high quality well organised buffet. The coach was very comfortable. The entrance to the cliffs site is very commercialised with tacky gift shops and dire coffee. The trip is about 3 hours off the coach to about 5.5 hours on it.
Very nice tour very great experience after driver was very informative and very friendly. Super knowledgeable and very considerate of everybody’s needs.
The stops along the way were spectacular! Driving the Wild Atlantic Way is an awe inspiring experience if you are the kind of person to enjoy the scenery as you go. If you are likely to just sleep on a bus, then I reccomend doing each of these stops individually.
So I read through the reviews and was a little nervous but want to say I had a great time . The bus was clearly marked , and in true Iris fashion arrived a little past departure time but we quickly left and our driver DJ was amazing he honestly is what made the tour great . Funny and had good info of the area for us . For the people reading people got left behind .. he didn’t leave anyone behind and was very clear on the rules .. this is time we leave with or without you because they can only park the bus for certain times and that’s it . We stayed two hrs almost at the cliffs which was perfect , drove through the Burrens fun fact tour buses can’t stop anymore there because people kept stealing rocks so government had changed this not the tour company . Had lunch and stopped one other place for break and shopping. You are mostly paying for the transportation and the cliffs long as you know this you’ll have good time . Beautiful drive , comfortable seats and usb section for phones but it hangs from ceiling your cord so bring one long enough for that . Thanks again DJ for your humor you made the tour fun.
I did not enjoy the trip that much it will be btter if you want to visit cliff of moher to go by your own Generally I found Howth cliff walks better than cliff of moher one But if you decided to go there you can rent a car or find away using transportations
Anya (tour guide) and Bill (driver) were super friendly, kind and accommodating. Overall a wonderful trip but here are some ways it could be better 1) increased narrative about the significance of places we're visiting - the history, culture and what to expect & do when we arrive. 2) the lunch stop at Liscanor was a total waste of time & cost us at least 1.5 hours - the lunch could have been combined with the Cliffs of Mohr with some pre arrangement or at another spot where we could have either 'grab & go' or if there was meaning ful spot to actually see stuff. 3) it was a disappointment that you didn't actually have time to see the Bunratty castle. Saving time at lunch to enable people to see this would be good. And maybe have a condensed 'tour' of the castle offered if those wanted to do it. It's an entry of €18 with 10% discount & even more with a group discount. So the €10-15 & this could be accommodated with the tour price.
It is absolutely a must-see and a must-do. It is visually stunning, and the guide did not speak too quickly, which is appreciated when one does not master English very well.
Thomas was a Super guide. He worked hard to give us a great day and we really did. Smashing day. Had a great time. The cliffs and the Wild Atlantic way are very beautiful. Still has time to walk around Limerick’s own castle and cathedral and see some live music in a pub when we got back on the same day
Great tour with interesting facts given by driver/guide. Helped that the sun shone but the views were stunning. Would have given 5 stars but driver said he was Arsenal supporter 🤣
The trip was well-paced and informative. My only wish was that there was time to tour Bunratty Castle vs just the short stop to walk the grounds. I was super impressed with the quality of the food at our lunch stop in Liscannor. I didn't have high hopes for a stop catering to tour buses, but the food was excellent.
