Chocolade en Culturele Tour in Costa Rica

Een duurzaam toerisme project gelegen in Sarapiquí, Chilamate. Het richt zich niet alleen op cacaoproductie, maar ook op bosbehoud en biodiversiteit. Het doel is om zowel het chocolademaakproces als de verbinding met de natuur te delen. De standaard Chocolate Tour duurt ongeveer 2 uur. Bezoekers verkennen een cacaoplantage in een privé bosreservaat. De rondleiding legt het hele proces uit : van de cacaoboom, bloemen en bestuiving, tot oogsten, fermenteren, drogen, malen en tenslotte chocolade produceren. Gasten kunnen verschillende stadia proeven : de verse cacaovrucht, cacao bij verschillende verwerkingsstappen, en zelfs genieten van traditionele warme chocolademelk. Focus en waarden Duurzaamheid: minimale impact op het bos, behoud van natuurlijke habitats en milieuvriendelijke landbouw. Onderwijs : de rondleiding belicht de geschiedenis van cacao, de culturele rol en het ecologische belang ervan.

This tour exceeded our expectations. It had been recommended by fellow researchers at La Selva Station as very entertaining and educational, but we found the tour to be designed very thoughtfully and with lots of heart and dedication to detail. Adrian, our guide, war very knowledgeable and we could tell how much he enjoys telling and demonstrating attendees about how cocoa and chocolate are being produced. The hands-on parts were very entertaining and fun, and the samples (that we produced ourselves under Adrian's guidance) we sooo tasty! A one-of-a-kind experience for the whole family that we can highly recommend. Don't miss out, if you're in the area!
I want to highlight the experience with Heyner as a guide and naturalist, in addition to being an excellent speaker, with the ability to teach and engage the audience; the explanation of the cacao tour, the delight of the artisanal chocolate they produce, Naomy was an excellent assistant, covering all the variations and processes; the explanation is complete, filled with history and vivid examples. By far, BEST CHOCOLATE COSTA RICA.
The highlight of my 3 weeks in Costa Rica, and a must do for anyone who is interested in chocolate, culture, history, conservation, nature, storytelling, or fun. It was a cultural and culinary experience I will never forget. I have met many amazing storytellers in my day, but our guide was one of the best- transporting us through the history and process of preparing chocolate by hand- and trust me, you have never had chocolate this good. A must do for anyone in Costa Rica. Please support this business and the wonderful things they are doing.

Very beautiful experience. Our guide gave us a very nice presentation. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. He helped me with the return taxi. My daughter, who loves chocolate, really enjoyed it. Small activities to do with family. I absolutely recommend it.
