Bezoek de beroemde Roatan-chocoladefabriek en leer helemaal opnieuw chocolade maken! Dit is een unieke tour op het eiland! Je leert over het proces van het maken van chocolade en maakt je eigen chocoladereep die je mee naar huis neemt! Deze activiteit is een authentieke Hondurese ervaring, gezinsvriendelijk en perfect voor koppels, individuele reizigers en iedereen die van chocolade houdt. Let op: de lessen worden gepland op basis van beschikbaarheid en uw behoeften, meestal vanaf 14.00 uur. Wij geven de lessen op basis van reserveringen. Als u Roatan bezoekt tijdens een cruise, moeten we ervoor zorgen dat we de les kunnen plannen en u op tijd terug naar het schip kunnen brengen. Voor cruisers proberen we zo vroeg mogelijk bij de fabriek aan te komen. Daarom verzoeken wij u van boord te gaan zodra uw schip arriveert. Als we het niet in de ochtend kunnen organiseren, kunnen we je ook vóór aanvang van de les ophalen en gaan sightseeing en/of een andere activiteit of rondleiding doen! Laat het ons weten als u hierin geïnteresseerd bent, dan kunnen wij het opzetten.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Wij kunnen u ophalen vlak voor de cruisehaven! We zullen een bord hebben met de tekst "Roatan Tour Guide Association" en ons logo erop! Ophalen/afzetten is bij al onze reizen inbegrepen. Wij nemen spoedig contact met u op om u meer informatie te sturen! Controleer na het boeken uw inbox! Als u opgehaald wilt worden voorbij Dixon Cove, is uw verblijfplaats of hotel niet inbegrepen. U kunt daarom kiezen voor de optie "Ik selecteer mijn ophaallocatie later" en wij sturen u een bericht om uw afhaling te bespreken. Houd er rekening mee dat er extra kosten in rekening worden gebracht voor het ophalen voorbij Dixon Cove, afhankelijk van waar je opgehaald moet worden. Opmerking 1: Cruiseschippers die geïnteresseerd zijn in het volgen van de les moeten contact met ons opnemen om er zeker van te zijn dat we de les op de datum van hun cruiseschip in Roatan kunnen houden voordat ze de les plannen. Opmerking 2: Onze lessen beginnen normaal gesproken tussen 13.00 en 15.00 uur, maar voor cruisers kunnen we ze ook in de ochtend doen. Ter informatie: we houden de les alleen als we reserveringen hebben voor die dag.

We had a great experience with Dani and the Roatan Chocolate Factory class & tour. Dani was very informative- he started the class by giving us a detailed overview of the history of the factory, the process, conservation and what sets Honduran chocolate apart from other big name chocolatiers. The class was extremely hands on. We each got to participate in the chocolate-making process from shelling the cocoa beans to wrapping the finished chocolate bars. No part of the tour was rushed and we genuinely felt as though Dani and the associates cared about the factory, the tour, the product and the guest experience.
We loved The Roatan Chocolate Factory (RCF) tour & chocolate making class! We learned the history of chocolate, the impact RCF is having on the preservation of Honduran forests, wildlife & indigenous people, and we had a blast making our own chocolate! Dani is a brilliant historian and instructor. This is a must do experience for couples, families & groups.
We were in Roatan for the day on a cruise and this excursion was by far the easiest and most organized excursion we have ever been on. We were picked up from the port and given detailed instructions with pictures on where to go to meet our tour guide. Dani is the instructor and tour guide, and goes out of his way to make every guest feel special. He is very knowledgeable about the art of chocolate making and the class is so much fun! He is a great educator and was there every step of our chocolate making process to make sure our own chocolate bars turned out great! After our chocolate making class, I asked him to take us by a traditional spot for lunch and we actually ended up at a gas station for a traditional Hondura lunch like all the locals eat. The lunch was delicious and we spent $9 total for my wife and I to eat. Overall, I could not recommend this tour enough. The next time we go back to Roatan, we will be booking it again! Thanks Dani, we had a blast!

This was fantastic! We booked this with Dani and customized the day trip (from cruise) to include transportation, snorkeling in the blue channel, and time for lunch in west end. Jason picked us up and gave some great background about the island, brought us to the chocolate factory where Dani ran the hands on class for our small group (4 in our family plus one other couple). Very informative and so interesting to see the whole process through from whole beans to chocolate bar. After the chocolate factory we had a snorkeling excursion (highly recommended), and then reconnected with Jason who brought us to a nice spot for lunch. Our family loved the whole day, a 10 out of 10 experience.
My husband and I took the chocolate workshop with Dani. What a wonderful experience! We were picked up at the cruise port and driven to the other side of the island, where things are less touristy. Dani gave us a thorough and interesting talk about chocolate history, including how it fits with conservation goals. We made chocolate from ‘bean to bar’ with careful guidance throughout, and took 3 handmade chocolate bars home. I highly recommend this tour!

I arranged this tour for my mom and mother in law and it was fabulous! They had a great time. And Dani was great about communication. He also went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with the logistics for my mom (she uses a walker).
