Reisroute

This private tour was great for our family of four (kids 11 and 15). Gabriel was a fantastic host and guide. He is personable, punctual and knowledgeable. We visited Chichen Itza and swam in cenote Ik Kil. He made the trip interesting for kids and adults and we felt safe throughout our full day trip. Gabriel picked a fantastic place for lunch in Valladolid as well. Would highly recommend this to other families.
Superb excursion the guide was great I recommend! However I think that the sunrise experience is only there to sell because we were not able to do it as well, the price is therefore very high compared to other offers. But the brilliant guide, we were able to add the coba site which was more in the jungle with practically no tourists!
When we booked this experience we knew it would be unique and one of a kind, but we didn't realize how amazing it would actually be. Unfortunately the sunrise option was not available because of the Ruins do not open that early anymore, but we were given the option to avoid the heat and crowds by arriving at 8 am when they open. Our guide greeted us at 6 am and provided lively conversation on our way to Chichen Itza, sharing their in depth knowledge of the Mayan culture, archeological sights, and geological history of the Yucatan Peninsula. After a private and extremely informative tour of the ruins, we traveled through the jungle to a small Mayan village. We enjoyed swimming in the cenote under the town square. Being so early meant we were the only 2 in the cenote and were able to enjoy the waters together for a romantic swim. As we were leaving, the local high schoolers were arriving to enjoy the waters, making this the perfect place to experience local life vs a tourist packed location. We then enjoyed a delicious authentic Mayan lunch at a restaurant in the jungle, were the owners took us to tour their organic farm and bee hives. We then were able to stop at a local honey store and made our way back to the hotel by early afternoon. If you are looking for a personalized and historical experience, this is the tour for you.
When we booked this tour, we knew we were getting a unique experience, but we didn't realize it would be so impacting and personal. We spent the day chatting with our guide and made a new friend. The guide conveyed deep insight of the ruins and the Yucatan Peninsula. Although the ruins were not open at sunrise, we were still able to keep a flexible schedule and arrived within 20 minutes of the ruins opening, in order to avoid the heat and crowds. After a detailed personal tour, we were shown a small Mayan village with a cenote under the town square. Because of our early arrival time, we were the only two in the cenote and enjoyed a romantic swim. As we were leaving the local high schoolers were coming to enjoy the waters, making this a more local hangout vs a tourist filled cenote. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch made by a local Mayan restaurant in the jungle on the outskirts of this small village. The restaurant had a farm and bee hives, which the workers happily took us on a tour of. After a fun filled morning, we headed back to our hotel and stopped at a local honey store for some shopping. Our guide was knowledgeable and focused the conversation on our interests and what was most important for us to experience. If you enjoy more personal, authentic and local feels to your vacation, we highly recommend taking this tour.
Had a wonderful private tour of Chichen Itza with our guide Aldo, followed with a delicious lunch and a swim in an underground cenote. Aldo was eager to make our tour exactly what we wanted for it to be. He was very knowledgeable and extremely open and friendly. I would highly recommend getting a tour with this company
