Je excursie naar Chefchaouen begint vanuit Fez door de Zagouta-berg. Onderweg hebben we een vrij panoramisch uitzicht op de SedChahed-dam. Deze 190 km lange weg is een adembenemende natuurlijke scène. Na het bereiken van de stad begint je bezoek met het centrale plein in het hart van Chefchaouen. Het omvat een kasbah gebouwd in de 18e eeuw, een centrale moskee en cafés met authentieke Marokkaanse menu's. De levendige markt biedt een mix van traditionele Marokkaanse artikelen en souvenirs, evenals uitstekende deals. Je bezoekt de Kasbah, die werd gebouwd door Moulay Ismail, die nu praktisch een ruïne is en ernaast de Grote Moskee is gelegen. Hoewel de oude medina klein is, vindt u souks met een breed scala aan producten. Je gaat naar de Joodse wijk achter de sieraden souk. We had an excellent experience with Morocco Fez Desert Tours. The trip was well organized from start to finish, with clear communication, comfortable travel, and friendly staff. The desert views were beautiful, and the camel ride was one of the most memorable parts of the experience. The camp atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, with a chance to enjoy Moroccan hospitality, traditional food, and the calm of the Sahara. Everything felt smooth, safe, and enjoyable, making it a great choice for anyone visiting Fez and wanting to discover the desert.
It is very important to have a guide when visiting the city. We found Hicham via the Civitatis website. We had a great time and speaks a little Italian mixed with Spanish.

Our guide provided fascinating stories about the town's history, culture, and significance as a peaceful retreat for centuries. They also took us to key landmarks, including the Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the Kasbah, and the Ras El Maa waterfall, where the sound of rushing water added to the town’s serene charm. Chefchaouen is also a shopper’s paradise, with unique artisan crafts like handwoven textiles, pottery, and local beauty products. The relaxed atmosphere made exploring the shops and interacting with friendly locals a joy. For lunch, we enjoyed delicious traditional Moroccan dishes at a rooftop restaurant with stunning views of the medina and surrounding mountains. This day trip was a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural discovery, and relaxation. Day trip from Fez, Bad road it takes more than 4 hours to get there and the same on the way back. Chefchaouen is nice and worth a visit, but on the trip they leave you on one spot and tell you in 3 hours we will meet here. Finished.

Everything was perfect. At first we went for breakfast in fes which was included in the price and then we started our trip to chefchaouen( approximately 3 hours). There we had around 3 hours to see the town and it was enough to walk around the place.

We went to this beautiful and magical city with Hamidi as a guide and with Saïd as the driver. Even though the day was rainy we had a great time. Hamidi and Saïd showed us the city and all the beautiful corners that are in Chefchaouen, we had an amazing time, we had a few laughs, plus we were taken to eat at a spectacular restaurant where we eat very tasty and fresh fish. Also just went on my birthday and Hamidi made me a surprise, in the restaurant they brought me a birthday cake and sang me all happy birthday 💙✨. It was quite a success to do the excursion with them, it was a magical day. Always with a smile on his face from Hamidi and Saïd. Be the best driver in Fez without hesitation. Besides, every place we passed was telling us things about the history of Morocco. Recommended 100%.
Booked this trip to go and see Chefchaouen. The driver was prompt at pickup time. The drive is quite long to reach Chefchaouen but we did make two stops. The rest stop was far too busy with other groups to be worthwhile, really should find another stop. But once there in the city had more than plenty of time to walk around. The thing to note is there is no tour of the city, you are on your own. It’s not a big area to explore but just a heads up. Overall this is an economical way to get to Chefchaouen for the day which I do recommend it was a really charming town. Drive back was long and it made for a 13 hour day.
