Eenmaal aangekomen op het eiland Catalina rond 10.00 uur, kun je "the Wall" snorkelen, waar je prachtige koraalriffen kunt bewonderen. Daarna vaart u naar de andere kant van het eiland, naar het “aquarium” waar u aan boord van de catamaran heerlijk zult eten. Kiezen voor de Quetzal is kiezen voor het verschil en de kwaliteit van de dienstverlening! Ga om 9 uur aan boord van de Quetzal en zeil een uur naar het eiland Catalina. Je komt rond 10.00 uur aan, waar je "The Wall" kunt snorkelen, je zult prachtige koralen bewonderen. Daarna varen we naar de andere kant van het eiland, naar het 'Aquarium' waar u kunt genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd aan boord van de catamaran. Na de lunch heeft u tijd om te ontspannen op het strand van Catalina, te snorkelen en veel verschillende soorten vissen te zien. We vertrekken rond 15.00 uur om terug te varen naar Bayahibe. Op de terugweg nemen we onze tijd en varen we langs de kust van Casa del Campo, waar u uitleg krijgt van onze nationale gids. We eindigen de dag met een cruise op de rivier de Chavon, beroemd om zijn prachtige jungle-landschap dat in veel films wordt gebruikt!

Be warned: do not book with/through this operator. Wasted day and (lots of) money. Very bad weather which was known in advance. No possibility to move or cancel despite being mentioned on their site. Not being able to snorkel because the weather was too bad. And Dorito’s included was 3 chips per person 😂

Excellent excursion , from the hotel pickup at the agreed time, small group departure, with guide Clemenceau(Cream) , we completed 2 snorkeling, Second most uncomfortable for weather and some swell, excellent food and then left us time Catalina Island and Chacon River tour with super lively party back, all 10

Beautiful boat service was poor staff did nothing to make the day memorable. No energy whatsoever. They sat on their phones, no music no interaction. Boring for the cost not worth it. Very disappointing.

This is a fun trip and the crew were super nice and accommodating. The boat is comfortable and spacious. Lunch was really delicious. The title of the trip is a little misleading as we did not step foot on Catalina Island. The boat anchored a little far out from the island and we just snorkel near it, but did not go onto the island. It would have been possible, but we were pretty far and would have had to swim to shore and then would not have any of our stuff with us. Also, the snorkeling was good, but the wall itself is not a good place for snorkeling. It is very deep and hard to see anything. But we did snorkel and some nice places with good visibility. All in all it was a nice trip though.

Great day with sailing snorkeling and good food. Staff is very kind and attentive. I wish we had some beach time but the boat was very comfortable.

We drove from Punta Cana and arrived at Quetzal in Bayahibe around 8:30 am. After checking in, our guide walked us down to the dock and we took a shuttle boat to the Catamaran. It was a beautiful and peaceful trip out to our first stop at Isla Catalina. The ocean conditions were challenging with strong winds and currents so we only snorkeled about 10 minutes there. We then left for Samoa where the waters were much more calm. We snorkeled about 30-40 minutes, but there was more time if people wanted to continue snorkeling or go ashore. We stayed onboard after snorkeling and talked with guide Charlotte. She was a delightful young lady from France. They then cooked us a great lunch of chicken, steak, pasta, salad, and fresh fruit. There was also an open bar. After leaving Saona, we cruised up Rio Chavon and one of the crew explained the history of the area, including famous movies filmed there like Apocalypse Now. All and all, it was a great time and the entire crew was wonderful.
