GÖREME PANAROMA De eerste plaats in de tour is Panoramisch uitzicht op Goreme. Je krijgt informatie over de geschiedenis, de vorming van Cappadocië tijdens het kijken naar de sprookjesachtige schoorstenen. Na de informatie, vrije tijd voor foto.
Na ongeveer 40 minuten te hebben gereden, komt u aan bij Underground City. Deze ondergrondse stad werd eerst gebruikt door de lokale bevolking als een natuurlijke diepvries, later door de late Romeinen als een schuilplaats tegen mogelijke Arabische invasies. Met de duidelijke uitleg van je gids zul je hier bijna 1 uur doorbrengen.
Ihlara Canyon is 52 km. weg van Underground City. Ongeveer 45 minuten later, ben je bij de ingang van de Ihlara-vallei. De Ilhlara-vallei werd gevormd door de vulkanische acties van Mt. Hasan, naast de Ihlara-vallei. Nadien heeft de Melendiz-rivier miljoenen jaren lang de vallei uitgehold, waarna de lagen barstten en vielen. Uiteindelijk werd 80 meter diepe kloof gecomponeerd. Whole Valley is 14 km. lengte. In het verleden woonden in het algemeen christenen in de verschillende delen van de vallei; ook hebben ze kerken uitgehouwen en geschilderd. U wandelt ongeveer 3,5 km. De wandeling duurt 1 uur en 15 uur. Daarna komt u aan bij Restaurant voor de Lunch
LUNCH 1 uur voor de lunch in de vallei, naast de rivier. U begint met de soep en salade, later kunt u een van de hoofdgerechten uit de lijst kiezen. De lunch is over met seizoensfruit
YAPRAKHISAR PANAROMA Na de lunch neemt onze gids je mee naar een unieke plaats, Yaprakhisar. Je ziet de mooiste voorbeelden van schoorstenen met conische feeën. Omdat het gebied erg lijkt op Star Wars Film Set, staat Yaprakhisar bekend als "Star Wars Movie Set". SELIME MONASTRY Onze tour gaat verder met een andere filmachtige plaats, Selime Monastery. Op het eerste gezicht lijkt het klooster op een kasteel, maar schuilplaatsen, kerken, kapellen, slaapkamers, opslagruimtes en grote kathedraal bewijst ons dat het een klooster is. Je krijgt informatie over het monastieke leven in Cappadocië.
PIGEON VALLEY Klimmen naar het Selime-klooster zal je waarschijnlijk vermoeien. Maar tot je aankomt in Pigeon Valley, heb je ongeveer 1 uur om te rusten. Onze gids zal onderweg ook enkele tradities, culturen en verhalen over Anatolië vermelden. Bij aankomst in Pigeon Valley ontmoeten duiven je op de top van de vallei. Duiven zijn altijd belangrijk geweest voor mensen uit Cappadocië. Hun eieren en uitwerpselen werden voor verschillende doeleinden gebruikt. Om deze reden hebben plaatselijke mensen huizen voor hen uitgehouwen op de hellingen van de vallei. Je zult de reden zien waarom mensen ze "huizen" noemen, wanneer je ze ziet.
De laatste plaats in de tour is een bezoek aan de onyxfabriek in Uchisar. Onyx is een vulkanische steen die verschillende kleuren heeft en verschillende mineralen bevat. Als vulkanisch gebied heeft Cappadocië enkele onyxafzettingen. In de fabriek geeft een meester je informatie over de stappen van onyx shaping en je kijkt naar een shaping show. 17:30 Je tour eindigt en je wordt naar je hotel gebracht.

The trip was an incredible experience. It was very educational, and I loved learning about the history, heritage, and culture while taking in the stunning scenery. We booked a tour that specifically stated Derinkuyu, the Ihlara Valley including lunch by the river and an air conditioned van. What we got was a trip to Kaymakli underground city in a not very air conditioned van, a brisk walk through Ihlara valley (with a guide who smoked and talked on the phone most of the time whose English was marginal), lunch under a pavilion miles from the river. In the fine print it said we would see an onyx making demonstration, instead we saw a jewelry demonstration at a jewelry store. The good: Kaymakli was nice, lunch was good, and the Ihlara valley was beautiful. We did stop at a location where the guide gave us a little bit of history and then we were allowed to explore. That was probably the highlight of the trip where we got to look in the caves. At the end of a long day the van made another stop at another store where we were pressured to buy souvenirs.
Our guide was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you are planning to do an underground tour, make sure your knees and back can handle all the steps and narrow passages. Even though it was extremely difficult underground, it was still worth every pain and ache. The lunch was very nice and all the other stops during the tour was wonderful. However, we did not like it when we made 2 stops (jewelry shop and Turkish delight shop). We felt pressured to make purchases as the employees in these shops followed us the whole time and tried to sell something to us. To stop at shops is not what we signed up for.
Beautiful experience I would like to revisit this place once more. We had a great time with my family and will come back in the near future

Our tour guide Oyzon was very informative and took us through every little detail about this hidden gem which I recommend every one to see.I would not recommend for people with low vision, physical impairments as you have to bend over to crawl through the dark tunnels.

The tour was nice. Our tour guide Berk was great. We especially liked the Ihlara Valley. Dont sit in the back of the vans though, very hot.
