Ga met ons mee op een op maat gemaakte Maipo Valley-tour: schilderachtige stops, eersteklas wijnproeverijen en diepe duiken in de wijncultuur, typisch Chileens eten en de geschiedenis van de toeristische bestemming Cajon del Maipo en natuurlijk Chili. Uw privé wijnavontuur begint met een warm welkom van onze deskundige lokale gids, die u direct ophaalt bij uw accommodatie in Santiago. Terwijl u door de stad reist naar de toeristische bestemming Cajon del Maipo, zal uw gids fascinerende verhalen delen over de verschillende delen van de stad en over het Chileense erfgoed en inzichten bieden in het lokale leven met waardevolle informatie.
U stopt bij de ingang van het Cajón del Maipo-gebied voor een panoramisch uitzicht op de bergen en de rivier. Tegelijkertijd krijgt u inzicht in de politieke gebeurtenissen van de Pinochet-dictatuur.
We stoppen waar u maar wilt om foto's te maken en te genieten van het uitzicht op de vallei. Omdat dit een privétour is, kunnen we ons volledig aanpassen aan uw behoeften.
U bezoekt de historische stad San José de Maipo, gesticht door Ambrosio O'Higgins in 1792. Ontdek de rijke geschiedenis van de stad terwijl u door de straten wandelt. U ziet de hoofdkerk (Parroquia) gebouwd in 1798, het centrale plein, het oude ziekenhuis, het stadhuis en een charmante lokale koffieshop
U bezoekt het Casa de Chocolate op de Camino al Volcán, een charmante en grillige plek die bekend staat om zijn unieke architectuur en heerlijke lekkernijen. Geniet van de gezellige sfeer en beslis of u zich tegoed wilt doen aan heerlijke chocolade of ijs
Je passeert de Tunel Tinoco in Cajón del Maipo, een indrukwekkende historische tunnel die in het begin van de 20e eeuw werd gebouwd. Verken de intrigerende constructie en kom alles te weten over de betekenis ervan voor de ontwikkeling van de regio en de uitdagingen waarmee de bouw wordt geconfronteerd. Om veiligheidsredenen mag het sinds 2025 niet meer naar binnen.
Je bezoekt Embalse El Yeso, een prachtig stuwmeer omringd door de majestueuze Andes. Geniet van het adembenemende uitzicht op het turquoise water en de torenhoge bergen, terwijl u leert over het belang van het stuwmeer voor de regio. Let op : De toegang tot Embalse El Yeso is gesloten van mei tot eind november. Tijdens deze periode bezoeken we een alternatief uitzichtpunt waar je de indrukwekkende Maipo vulkaan van een afstand kunt bewonderen.
In dit gebied bezoekt u een gerenommeerd lokaal restaurant waar u kunt genieten van een heerlijke, traditionele Chileense lunch.
Je bezoekt een wijngebied in de Maipo Valley met de auto waar je gids je vertelt over de beroemde wijnvallei en je ontdekt de betekenis van de vallei en waarom deze zo belangrijk is voor Chili en hoog aangeschreven staat in de Chileense wijnindustrie
U bezoekt de gerenommeerde Concha y Toro Winery voor een premium tour, waarbij u drie uitzonderlijke wijnen proeft terwijl u het rijke erfgoed van de wijngaard verkent en leert over de Chileense wijncultuur. Afhankelijk van de timing en de beslissing van de gids volgens de wensen van de klant, kan een alternatieve boetiekwijnmakerij in de Maipo-vallei worden bezocht.
Aan het einde van uw onvergetelijke dag zorgt uw gids voor een comfortabele en veilige terugkeer naar uw accommodatie in Santiago. Tijdens de terugreis heb je de perfecte gelegenheid om vragen te stellen over de tour, Chileense wijncultuur & politiek, de bergen of het land zelf. We had an absolutely wonderful time on out tour with Ignacio. He shared lots of interesting information about Chile & the region and showed us a lot of beautiful sites. The pace of the tour never felt rushed and focused on things that interested us. Our lunch stop was delightful and the food was delicious! We were able to try multiple different menu items and of course some Chilean wine. Speaking of wine, our winery visit was perfect. We felt like VIPs. All in all in was a fantastic tour and a fabulous day trip from Santiago.

What a wonderful tour of the Chilean Andes and local towns this was! With Ignacio as my personal guide, I saw so many examples of Chile’s natural beauty, including breathtaking landscapes, as well as an historical town and a first-class winery, rich with Chilean history and unique architecture. I particularly appreciated Ignacio’s knowledge of Chile’s independence movement in the 19th century, as well as his insights into the country’s more recent social progress and governmental evolution over the last 50 years. We had a great day of weather, a comfy and safe drive, saw the volcano, short hike to a waterfall, and ate some really good food. Corn pastry and empanadas pino are a must at reataurants along the route. Great advice from Ignacio on the winery visit. Would not change anything.

Ignacio was very engaging and informative on this tour. He did do his best to make it interesting given the constraints with regard to the closure of the road into Cajon del Maipo. A short walk to the edge of the reservoir was the the only option. We were able to get a private wine tour to Besoain winery a family owned business. Overall a great experience.

We had a fantastic tour with City Trekking. Ignacio was a wonderful guide throughout. We learned about Chilean history, took in the amazing views, and had a delicious lunch.
