Beschrijving
Je bezoekt het Cajas National Park, ongetwijfeld een van de mooiste natuurlijke plekken van Ecuador met meer dan 200 gletsjermeren en een scala aan alternatieven voor wandelen voor iedereen om te genieten van het landschap van de Andes-hooglanden. Daarna bezoekt u de stad Cuenca, beschouwd als de mooiste stad van Ecuador en een van de mooiste steden van Zuid-Amerika.

Begin deze dag met een wandeling door één van de mooiste nationale parken van Ecuador, Cajas National Park, waarbij u enkele van de kloven bewondert en de spectaculaire flora van dit ecosysteem van dichtbij kent. We wandelen ongeveer 2:00 uur.
Lunch in een lokaal restaurant om ecuadoriaans eten te proberen.
De gids neemt je mee naar Turi viewpoint vanwaar je een prachtig uitzicht hebt over Cuenca stad.
Na een bezoek aan het park gaan we verder naar Cuenca. In deze stadstour vertelt onze gids over de geschiedenis van deze stad, waarbij we kerken bezoeken zoals de Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción (Nieuwe Kathedraal) en La Iglesia del Carmen. We wandelen in hele mooie en traditionele wijken van de stad zoals de wijk La Cruz del Vado, een site waar veel huizen een andere bouwstijl hebben en een mooi uitzicht hebben op de Tomebamba rivier. Geniet ook van een wandeling door de Mercado 10 de Agosto met waardering voor de kleurrijke vruchten gemengd en de kleuren van de kleding van Cholas Cuencanas). Ook bezoekt u één van de Panama Hoeden fabriek om de belangrijkste details te weten over deze speciale accessoire gemaakt alleen in Ecuador. De tour eindigt met uw hotel drop-off.

My partner and I were delighted with the private tour. The tour pick us up at the hotel at 8:20 am very punctual, we go to Cajas National Park where we arrive in an hour depending on traffic. On the way the guide and driver (Wilson) tells us a little about the history of the city of Cuenca and what to expect from the Cajas park. We arrive at the park and begin the walk through the beautiful forest where you can admire the flora and fauna. The route through the park is extraordinary, do not forget a warm coat as the climate changes according to the height you are in, as the weather varies. After the park we return to Cuenca and it takes about one hour. The guide shows you the city by foot. You can admire the Neo Gothic architecture of the Cathedral and French / Spanish style houses of the city. Lots of culture, good food and weather. Try el “hornado” in the Mercado 10 de Agosto. I would repeat it.
