Begin de avond in een bruisende buurtsapbar. Je probeert vers geperst Asab (suikerrietsap), Cairo's ultieme verfrissende, natuurlijke energiedrank. Het is de perfecte ijsbreker om overdag af te koelen en te proosten op het begin van je nachtelijke wandelavontuur.
Stap binnen in een culinaire instelling met meerdere verdiepingen die wereldwijd bekend is. Hier duik je in het onbetwiste nationale comfort food van Egypte: Koshari. Geniet van een stevige, bevredigende kom met gelaagde pasta, rijst, linzen, kikkererwten en knapperige gebakken uien, allemaal gesmoord in een gekruide tomaten-knoflooksaus.

I was hosting a tour in Cairo, and the participants went on this tour. It was five American women, and they came back, absolutely raving about it. They had fun, loved the Tour Guide, and loved all the food. Was a great way for them to try local foods, see downtown, all with a Tour Guide!

Our guide Luu was excellent . She contacted us by what’s app and that went well . We took an uber to meet her . I felt safe in her company . We started our tour with juice and went to 7 places all yummy . When she says .. feel like a local she meant it . Luu stayed with us till the Uber came to get us . Back in hotel we are ratting the custard pastry and cup of tea .

It was my first time with them and for sure it won't be my last time. I tried the food walking tour in the beautiful downtown in city of Cairo with my family and friends and we all loved it.. The guide, the food & the walk through the hidden gems of the city was simply amazing.. We ended our walk on a famous café for dessert and tea with mint.. This is THE food experience that everyone visiting Cairo NEEDS to do. A fabulous introduction into the best traditional Egyptian tastes that are fulfilling and delicious. Emphasis is very much on the unique everyday foods that fuel Cairo, so you are able to tast and learn how the city really lives. We were hesitant because of the food that might not be totally safe, but the guide reassured us immediately explaining that we would go to controlled and totally safe places, and so it was. The tour is perfect, our guide, Nouritta, was exceptional, nice, helpful, kind, offered us a drink, accompanied us where we wanted if we had any special request. It was fantastic, which made the experience ten times better. It is a tour for those who want authenticity, try local meals safely, and live the real cairo with the mess of the streets, the typical food, but without risks, and thus managing to fully appreciate the experience. Of all the activities we booked this was the one for which we had the least expectations, and instead it turned out to be the most beautiful we did, the guide was really like a friend, we chatted about the differences between our culture and his, he explained all the dishes, he immediately put us at ease from the first minutes involving us with questions. I simply recommend not eating anything before doing this activity because you eat a lot, and be light at lunch. It was worth it! How many characters is that?

I traveled to Cairo by myself and stayed in downtown Cairo in an air b&b. I arrived and night and as an American was a bit overwhelmed. I showed up for the tour and LuLu my tour guide was amazing. I was the only one on the tour so I basically had a private tour of the city. She is spoke perfect English, she’s so bright and new the ins and outs of the city. She made me immediately feel comfortable for the rest of the trip and the food and her knowledge was amazing. More people should explore this beautiful city.
The Cairo neighborhood that we walked around and ate in on this tour was so vibrant with locals out enjoying the evening, it really did feel like you were a local (with inside help from our wonderful guide) and the food is great!
