Ontdekking van de Côte des Blancs Grand Cru en het beroemde dorp en de wijngaard van Hautvillers in de historische heuvels van Champagne van de Marne-vallei in de buurt van Epernay die door UNESCO op de Werelderfgoedlijst staan. In Hautvillers, dorp genaamd de “bakermat van de Champagne”, rondleiding door de kerk van Dom Pérignon en de wijngaard. Pauzeer bij het mooiste uitzichtpunt van de Champagne en krijg meer inzicht in wijngaardbeheer. Ontdekkingstocht door de Côte des Blancs, beroemd gebied om zijn Grand Cru Chardonnay 100% Blanc de Blancs. Bezoek de productielocatie van een familie van onafhankelijke producent/kweker gevolgd door een becommentarieerde proeverij van een selectie van 3 Champagnes Grand Cru/Premier Cru, evenals de essentiële alcoholen sterke drank en aperitieven van champagne tijdens extra proeverijen. Becommentarieerde passage door de "Avenue de Champagne" in Epernay, hoofdstad van de Champagnewijngaard, genoemd “de duurste Avenue in de wereld” met zijn 200 miljoen flessen in de kelders.

U begint deze halve dag met een bezoek aan het dorpje Hautvillers bij Epernay, het niet te missen dorpje Champagne. In Hautvillers, dorp genaamd de “Bradbaan van Champagne”, geniet u van een privétour door de kerk waar het graf van Dom Pérignon, bekend als de geestelijke vader van Champagne, is. Wij zullen u zijn verhaal vertellen en u zult eindelijk weten of hij de uitvinder van de Champagne is! Dit is ook een gelegenheid om u te vertellen over de geschiedenis van Champagne en de regio.
In Hautvillers stoppen we ook in de historische heuvels van Champagne die door de Unesco op de Werelderfgoedlijst zijn geplaatst om te genieten van het mooiste panorama van Champagne met uitzicht op de Marnevallei, de plaats waar Dom Pérignon zijn experimenten in wijnmaken uitvoerde. Het is de ideale plek in het hart van de wijngaarden om onvergetelijke foto's van u en dit adembenemende landschap te nemen! In deze wijngaard, voornamelijk beplant met Pinot noir, vertellen we u over het werk van de wijnstokken, de druivenrassen, deze uitzonderlijke "Terroir" en duurzame wijnbouw.
Na in de Marnevallei voornamelijk beplant te zijn geweest met Pinot Noir, ligt ten zuiden van Epernay op enkele minuten afstand de "Côte des Blancs" genaamd het koninkrijk van de Champagne Chardonnay Grand Cru. Grand Cru is het hoogste niveau van de Champagne Appellation dat slechts enkele zeldzame dorpjes met wijngaarden bezitten en die vooral rond Epernay liggen. Ze produceren de meest gerenommeerde Champagnes van de regio. Tijdens uw ontdekkingstocht in "Côte des Blancs" gaan we door Cramant en Avize, beroemde dorpen Grand cru. We passeren ook, voor de grootste flessenfabriek en in de buurt van het beroemde "Chateau de Saran", het ultra privéterrein waar de luxe LVMH-groep (die eigenaar is van Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Krug ...) zijn grootste klanten en VIP's ontvangt, evenals de "Montaigu-site" gewijd aan de champagnebereiding van Moët & Chandon.
Oger is een ander gerenommeerd Grand Cru dorp in "Côte des Blancs" met de beroemde "Blanc de Blancs" 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru. Hier bezoeken we een onafhankelijke producent/kweker, een familielandgoed sinds 1864 met uitleg over het Champagnemaakproces, bezoek aan de pers, wijnmakerij en kelder. U proeft drie 100% Grand Cru Champagnes met proefadvies om de verschillende Champagnes te ontdekken zoals natuurlijke Champagne zonder dosering, brut, vintage of zelfs gerijpt op eiken vaten. Het is een vrij vertrouwelijk adres, zoals de lokale bevolking en kenners het leuk vinden, perfect om "echte champagne" te ontdekken naast de grote namen van Champagnehuizen die je kent. Als u wilt, kunt u Champagne kopen in hun winkel, evenals enkele souvenirs van uw bezoek aan Champagne!
Tijdens de rondleiding kunt u ook genieten van extra proeverijen : de drie essentiële Champagnealcoholen en aperitieven van de beroemde distilleerderij Goyard in Aÿ, die in 1911 werd opgericht en de oudste in Champagne is. De bekendste is de Ratafia Champenois die al sinds de 13e eeuw in Champagne wordt geproduceerd. Ratafia is een zoete wijn gemaakt van dezelfde druivensoorten als Champagne vaak gedronken als aperitief, digestief of bij sommige gerechten. Een schat die buiten de Champagnestreek nog relatief onbekend is omdat het niet op grote schaal wordt geëxporteerd, het biedt een ongeëvenaard scala aan smaken en aroma's die u bij ons zult ontdekken. U zult zeker een fan zijn! U zult ook Fine de la Marne en Marc de Champagne ontdekken, brandewijnen die erg populair zijn als digestief. *Afhankelijk van het seizoen/weer geniet u van deze bijzondere proeverij met een panoramisch uitzicht op de wijngaard rond Epernay of op het domein van de familieteler.
Tijdens een becommentarieerde passage door het UNESCO-werelderfgoed "Avenue de Champagne" in Epernay, de hoofdstad van de Champagnewijngaard, zullen we de geschiedenis uitleggen van zijn prachtige herenhuizen en productiegebouwen die al eeuwenlang toebehoren aan de Champagnehuizen zoals Moët & Chandon, Perrier Jouët, Pol Roger, enz. Het wordt beschouwd als "de duurste Avenue in de wereld" met zijn prestigieuze Champagnehuizen, zijn herenhuizen en zijn 100 kilometer kelders die 200 miljoen flessen verbergen.

Our guide, Phillipe, provided lots of great information about the champagne region and champagne production. I have a new appreciation for what goes in to producing a bottle of champagne! The van was comfortable, pick up and drop off were on time, guide was very easy to understand. I would have liked to visit more than 1 champagne house. The house we visited was very unique and the tasting was a good variety.

Make sure you book this tour with Phillippe! It was truly fabulous. He was so knowledgeable and entertaining throughout our tour given he grew up in the area and had worked in all aspects of champagne production and sales. In addition the business was so easy to deal with and so responsive. After our initial flights were cancelled they were very easy to reschedule when we were finally able to fly. The tour guide was very nice. But the tour itself was very boring. The thasting was done by the tour guide. The winery milan is an old shabby house. Champagners were cheap but nothing special. The other tasting was a sip of small bootles of high alcoholic drinks during the tour. If you are i lover of high quality champagnes i wouldnt recommend it for that price.
