De Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens bieden een weelderig, divers aanbod aan plantenshowrooms. Bezoekers kunnen themagebieden verkennen zoals de Tropical Dome, met exotische planten, de serene Japanse tuin met rustige vijvers en bonsais, en de Arid Zone met droogtetolerante soorten. De tuinen zijn ook voorzien van levendige Australische inboorlingen en mediterraan geïnspireerde landschappen. Vanaf de Mount Coot-tha uitkijkpost in Brisbane worden bezoekers getrakteerd op een adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht over de stad en daarbuiten. Op een heldere dag kunt u de skyline van Brisbane zien die zich uitstrekt tot aan de rivier, met het weelderige groen van de omliggende parken en buitenwijken. Het uitzicht omvat ook het sprankelende water van Moreton Bay in de verte, omlijst door de nabijgelegen bergen en glooiende heuvels. De Brisbane Powerhouse is een levendige culturele hub gelegen langs de Brisbane River. Het is gevestigd in een herbestemmingscentrale uit de jaren 1920 en organiseert een verscheidenheid aan kunstevenementen, waaronder theatervoorstellingen, livemuziek, comedyshows en tentoonstellingen over beeldende kunst. Met zijn opvallende industriële architectuur en schilderachtige uitzicht op de rivier is de locatie een populaire bestemming geworden voor zowel de lokale bevolking als bezoekers, met een mix van creatieve evenementen en een levendige sfeer.
Op New Farm Park zien bezoekers een prachtig onderhouden mix van open groene ruimtes, volwassen bomen en levendige bloementuinen. Het park biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de Brisbane River, met de iconische Story Bridge zichtbaar in de verte.

We had a wonderful tour with Cheryl. She was friendly, kind, thoughtful, funny and informative. The tour was well organised with nice morning tea break in the middle. It was an unexpectedly hot Spring day, which left some of us fatigued, but Cheryl came prepared with icy cold waters and the bus was air-conditioned. She was also caring and adaptable. We loved Mt Coo-tha, the gardens, the lookout, the tour around the city and the helpful tips.
Our tour guide Guy was amazing, he was very friendly, very knowledgeable about Brisbanes history, demographics, economics, architecture, trees and bees. Mytour group consisted of only three people, including myself in the three. I think other potential tourists missed out on this lovely tour as many people visiting on this day were excited about the Brisbane Annual Festival Week commencing on this same day and preferred staying on the riverfront within the Queensland corridors. Guy made most stops promised on the website, however, the Police had many streets closed this day and we had many detours to endure. All in all, Guy was amazing, he made the trip a very nice experience in spite of all the traffic issues. He answered all of our questions professionally, was very compassionate with his three elderly tourists. Guy walked along the garden with us while explaining the different flora and exhibits at this location; he even purchased snacks and cold drinks for all of us and played some Australian music for us on the ride back home. Guy gave us a nice chilled towel for us to cool down after our visit to the Mt. Coo-t-tha botanical garden part of the tour and also gave each of us a departing gift as well, he was very gracious doing this unexpected treat. Fabulous tour, friendly, knowledgeable and well organised guide. Visited places too far to walk from the city but everybody should visit when in Brisbane.
The tour was terrific. Saw some interesting locations and the guide was very knowledgable. Cheryl was a wonderful guide, full of information about Brisbane, caring and attentive. Morning tea was lovely.
