We had an amazing experience with our 2-hour sunset boat ride with Shonia from Turismo Marinero. From the moment we stepped aboard, she made sure our family was comfortable and well taken care of. She thoughtfully provided delicious snacks, drinks, binoculars for spotting dolphins and enjoying the scenery, and even blankets as the evening became cooler. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making the experience special for everyone on board. The sunset was absolutely beautiful, and the entire trip was relaxing, memorable, and perfectly organized. Our whole family had a wonderful time, and it was one of the highlights of our vacation in Estepona. Thank you, Shonia, for your warm hospitality and for creating such a special evening. We highly recommend Turismo Marinero to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience on the water!
A fantastic sunset trip at sea 30.06.26, departing at 8:00 PM from the harbour. After just a few minutes on the sea, the captain spots a group of dolphins. We enjoyed watching the dolphins for 30 minutes as they followed the boat and occasionally chased large schools of sardines. Finally we were served tapas featuring cured red tuna, squid, and olives, along with bread and a glass of cava. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset. It was a fantastic experience we will always remember. Thanks to the crew for a great time.
We were so Lucky to See two Wales and many Dolphins. It was the third time with Sonja and it is so nice 👍
Fantastic boat trip made with Shonia and Juan, it was perfect! The dolphins swam with us, great! We also got a nice drink, snacks and a blanket when the sun went down. Absolutely recommended!
Being able to enjoy this experience in the middle of the sunshine with the family is incredible, shonia and Juani have been watching all along for our well being, we will come back safe

Sunset boat trip, tapas & cava was booked online in UK for 29/10/25 via Tripadvisor based on the many 5 star reviews. This was cancelled by operator on 29/10 due to bad weather. Rearranged for 30/10, cancelled again by operator for bad weather. Operator offered us 31/10, we had Gibraltar trip so no go. Rearranged for 1/11 at 15:00 by operator, I queried the time as it was a sunset trip. We accepted thinking that it was an early Sunset cruise on a Saturday staying at sea during sunset 18.24. However we arrived back at the harbour 16.55 and as we walked away from the boat we saw it was being reloaded with people leaving for the 17.00 Sunset Cruise! We were shocked and upset that we were not offered this trip and felt scammed by the operator. Incidentally Tapas was meagre, crisps, apple and orange slices, not as represented in the operator pictures. Also only 2 rounds of drinks cava, canned beer, soft drinks. The boat had an end of season feel e.g. No water or soap in toilets to wash hands, dirty canopy over sun-beds, generally the boat felt tired and uninspiring. Just a boattrip towards Gibraltar and no sunset on a Sunset trip! During the trip Shonia the operator was gushing and provided some information on ecology, fishing and her family. Also a hint of dolphins. After many communications with ViatorTripadvisorUK and Shonia after the trip, I was given £27 by ViatorTripadvisorUK as a goodwill gesture and Shonia offered a free trip next time we were in Estepona (never). A blatant admission our trip was unworthy. Back in UK I raised Section 75 and Chargeback with my credit card company. Who were extremely empathetic, however unfortunately as I accepted an alternative date for the trip the regulations meant my claims were denied.
Dear customer, I am sorry to read your comments, which I find quite over-exaggerated. Please allow me to clarify each of the points you mention: “Booking: for 29/10 at 17:00, finally done on 1/11 at 15:00 after two operator cancellations.”* The trip was postponed due to sea conditions that were *not safe nor suitable for a pleasant experience* until the day we finally went out. From the 29th onward, we were in contact with you at all times — we exchanged more than 15 emails, where I personally explained all available options, always adapting to your schedule and availability. ------------------------------ *2. “Sunset trip: departure at 15:00, return at 17:00, when sunset was at 18:25. As we left, we saw your next customers boarding for the sunset trip we thought we were having.” Obviously, sunset does *not occur between 15:00 and 17:00, and you were aware of that. The *only day you were available* (because you had other plans) was *Saturday, November 1st*, and on that day, the only available time slot was *15:00* — as I informed you in advance. Since the activity lasts two hours, it was *impossible to see the sunset* at that time. The 17:00 slot was already reserved for a *private group of returning clients*, so I could not offer you that time. You also informed me that you were not available on Sunday for the sunset trip — which I would have gladly arranged for you. You were fully aware of our *available time slots* throughout. ------------------------------ *3. “Tapas: apple and orange slices plus crisps, not as shown in your Tripadvisor photos.”* Tapas vary depending on the season and always include *one light snack*. We offered *all drinks you wished to have* — cava and beer — and at no point did we limit your servings. The crisps are *artisanal*, and for the *15:00 to 17:00 schedule*, we considered fresh fruit a healthy and suitable choice. I perfectly remember offering you *additional food twice*, when you went downstairs to the toilet, and you told me everything was fine. I was personally on board with you during the entire experience. I take great pride in looking after my guests, and the best way to solve any issue is *at the moment*, not afterwards when the experience has been completed and enjoyed, only to then request a full refund. Frankly, I do not find that fair. I’m glad to read that you “smiled through adversity”, but there was no need to “make a scene” in front of other guests. The private sunset group you mention had *booked long before your reservation*. If you had spoken to me directly, I would have gladly explained everything — just as we shook hands when saying goodbye. Small local businesses like mine work hard to deliver authentic and safe experiences, and it is truly disappointing to receive this kind of claim afterwards. If you ever return to Estepona, I will be happy to invite you to join us for a *sunset cruise* — as a gesture of goodwill. However, I truly did everything possible to ensure you could sail in safe conditions and enjoy the experience. I’m sincerely sorry you feel this way
Having wanted to do something special for our 20th wedding anniversary celebrations, we are so pleased we found Shonia and this sunset trip. My husband is nervous on the water and she made sure he was calm, and kept checking in on him. The tapas and the drink are a lovely touch but her real passion for the sea makes the experience so pleasurable. The value for money is fantastic and we would highly recommend.
An amazing experience!! A spectacular sunset and a lot of dolphins, especially the friendliness of the unbeatable staff and the dog noahnis stole the heart, I will definitely repeat, and I recommend that if they are thinking of doing the tours do not doubt what wonder I can repeat soon ❤️

A fantastic experience in spectacular surroundings and Shonia is a wonderful and friendly person who makes it even more special. I highly recommend it to those who like the sea and want to live a unique moment with wonderful views and we were lucky to be surrounded by several dolphins 😍.
