Leer meer over de cultuur en geschiedenis die IJsland hebben gevormd door de hoogtepunten en bezienswaardigheden in en rond de stad Reykjavík te bezoeken. Geniet van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden in een kleine bus en stop op de belangrijkste locaties in en rond de stad. Na de tour rijden we naar de Blue Lagoon waar u kunt ontspannen en ontspannen. De rondleiding duurt ongeveer 6 uur. We brengen 3 uur door bij de Blue Lagoon.

Hallgrímskirkja kerk van Hallgrímur is een Lutherse parochiekerk in Reykjavík. Het is 74,5 meter (244 voet) hoog en is een van de hoogste gebouwen in IJsland. Hallgrímskrikja is genoemd naar de IJslandse dichter en predikant Hallgrímur Pétursson, een van de meest geliefde dichters uit IJsland.

Een historisch gebouw, beroemd om de ontmoeting van Ronald Reagan en Michail Gorbatsjov in 1986, het begin van het einde van de Koude Oorlog.
Geniet in de buurt van het Tjörnin-meer van het beroemde stadhuis van Reykjavik.
De Blue Lagoon is een van de beste natuurlijke kuuroorden ter wereld. De geschiedenis van de Blue Lagoon gaat terug tot 1976, toen in Svartsengi een reservoir werd gevormd door het werk van de geothermische energiecentrale Svartsengi. We had a terrific experience with Helga. We were picked up at our cruise ship, did a tour the highlights of Reykjavik, had a great time at the Blue Lagoon, and were dropped off at KEF for our flight home. A perfect final day in Iceland!

The facilities at the Blue lagoon are great. we were worried we would be cold when getting from the dressing area to the thermal pools, but the thermal pools come into the building so you never have to be cold. the masks made our skin feel great and the pools are huge so despite many people it didn’t feel crowded. We visited July 30 and they are expanding so if you visit later it may even get better. It is a must do activity in Iceland. Our guide Helga was fantastic, great info and great personality.

We did this activity on our first day in Reykjavik. We had a private tour with Travelling Iceland. We were picked up from the airport by Helga & was transported right away to Blue Lagoon. We were checked in at BL efficiently as soon as it opened at 9 am. We had an amazing time at BL till noon time & we were picked up after our lunch by Addy, our tour guide & transport for the City tour. In the afternoon, We went right away to Reykjavik City. First, went to PERLAN Museum and had a 360 degree view of the City of Reykjavik from the platform.We had enough time to check out the exhibits without feeling rushed. We drove around city and we were able to go to all the “must see places” in Reykjavik. We also had ample time to take pictures in all the lovely city sites & landmarks.This is a customized and comprehensive tour and very organized as well. We ended the tour by having a dinner in a traditional Icelandic restaurant per our request & guide’s recommendation. The whole day activity was comprehensive & we were happy that we’re able to attain our Iceland travel goals without wasting any time. I highly recommend this activity & the company Travelling Iceland for the Blue Lagoon & Reykjavik City Tour. We also love the water tumblers, chocolates & post cards the company Travelling Iceland gave us as a welcome gift! ❤️

Helga is such a warm and open person that really cares about your experience! She will show you some corners of Reykjavik that are out of walking distance which was great. But more importantly it feels you are going there with a good friend who tells you stories and provides you with guidance. When going to the Blue Lagoon, this is the way you want to go! We did both the Blue Lagoon tour and the Volcano one. Both were excellent but doing the volcano hike with Helga was really great. She is a geologist and it's not every day you get to go see an active volcano with a geologist!

During my trip to Iceland I was uncertain if I would visit the blue lagoon but the Icelandic people I encountered convinced me it was worth it. Even with this last minute change, my guide Helga was able to find a way to make it work and get me on the tour. This act of kindness and creatively working with you are characteristic of both Helga and her tours. I ended up taking another tour with her to explore the Reykjanes volcano and again she surpassed my expectations both as person and in the variety and depth of knowledge she has in all things Icelandic geology. Best tour ever! Helga (the tour guide) is AMAZING. She educated us on a lot of Icelandic history while touring us around Reykjavik. The Blue Lagoon is a must see.
