Onze gids wacht op u om onze weg naar San Juan de Gaztelugatxe te beginnen. ✔ Ontdek Dragonstone in San Juan de Gaztelugatxe We komen tot dit natuurlijke juweel, beroemd om het inspireren van een Game of Thrones scenario. Tijdens de rondleiding door San Juan de Gaztelugatxe zullen gasten genieten van een unieke ervaring die geschiedenis, natuur en cultuur combineert. Tijdens de tour zullen ze genieten van het kustlandschap terwijl ze over het panoramische pad wandelen en foto's van het landschap maken. Ze beklimmen de 241 treden en bezoeken de hermitage op de top, gewijd aan Sint Johannes de Doper. Tegen het einde van de tour zullen ze een diepere waardering hebben voor deze iconische site en zijn historische en culturele verbindingen.
Bermeo is een plek vol charme en authenticiteit, waardoor bezoekers zich kunnen verbinden met de geschiedenis, cultuur en maritieme geest van Baskenland. Tijdens de rondleiding verkennen ze de oude stad en bezoek aan de vissershaven.
Mundaka is een pittoresk vissersdorpje aan de Baskische kust, bekend om zijn natuurlijke schoonheid en beroemde haven. De keuken bestaat uit gerechten als marmitako (stoofpot van tonijn) en mosselen a la marinera, evenals lokale pintxos en txakoli wijn. Het is de perfecte plek om te genieten van traditionele Baskische smaken.
Duik in de geschiedenis van Gernika, een plek rijk aan herinneringen en emoties. Tijdens deze wandeltocht ontdekt u de schuilkelders voor luchtaanvallen, de legendarische Boom van Gernika en de prachtige muurschildering die Picasso's beroemde schilderij over het bombardement reproduceert. U hoort ook fascinerende verhalen die deze stad, gelegen in het Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, hebben gevormd.
Om de excursie met een hoge noot af te sluiten, geniet u van een exclusieve txakolí-proeverij, een van de meest emblematische wijnen van Baskenland, in Bodega Berroja. Na deze unieke ervaring keren we in de middag terug naar Bilbao. Mis het niet!

The walk to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is far far more strenuous than the guides will have you know, it's 2.5 miles and very steep especially on the return leg. The achievement is worth it, but think carefully before you commit. Wear sturdy footwear, take water, and don't hang about. 2hrs is only just enough to do the round walk. The coach trip offers great views of the Basque countryside.
Unique and evocative experience, interesting to complete with a visit to the other small villages. I only recommend this to those who are in shape or used to physical exertion; we were satisfied, but definitely exhausted from the effort. Choose to book this excursion when it is not particularly hot.
Excellent tour guide. Awesome tour. Make sure you are truly physically able and fit. The climb back up from dragon stone is not easy. Lots of walking and good pace. Loved the whole trip. Only gave four stars because time for bathroom use was not factored in. Otherwise, it was fantastic!!!
I thought the trip was excellent in its entirety. The places we visited are very pretty and the staff was the best. Stefan was very kind and gave us great explanations of each place, while Alberto drove very safely. This has been my favorite tour and it was a very nice experience.
The time specified in the program does not match what was completed. Less time for Gatzelugatxe. Much walking elsewhere, steep hills. Large groups, and guidance in sixty languages even though we ordered English. Becomes too much flock.
This was a really interesting excursion, combining a very scenic walk to Dragonstone, visits to 3 interesting villages and rounded off with a wine tasting. The tour was well organised and our guide Pedro really enhanced the experience with his knowledge of the history and customs of the region and his delivery was engaging and interesting. Our driver was great too and made it look easy! Would definitely recommend this tour, worth the money.
Gaztelugatxe is a very intense physical experience - over 200 steps up to the top and back and that's not even the hardest part. There's a long and very steep climb back up to the parking area. Bermeo wasn't very exciting. Had an excellent sea bass lunch at the Casino in Mundanka, a very interesting (and too short) visit to Gernika and ended the tour with a Txakoli tasting at a winery. The day trip was well worth the money.
