Krijg het beste van twee werelden en kies voor een leuke dag vol ervaring met de Breede River Valley plus een Big Five Safari in de middag in plaats van alleen een saaie busrit. Pick-up en drop off is direct voor de deur door een vriendelijke, professionele gids. Geniet van een comfortabele rit met airconditioning door een van de mooiste landschappen van de Kaap (alleen kleine groepen). Reis de Du Toits Kloofpas op, dan wijnproeven bij Du Toitskloof Wines en/of koffie drinken bij Ou Meul Bakery & Cafe. Breng de middag door in het wildreservaat Aquila, te beginnen met een gratis glas bubbels (alcoholvrij verkrijgbaar) plus een uitgebreide lunchbuffet. Een begeleide game drive van 2 - 3 uur laat je de echte hartslag van Afrika ervaren met de kans om de Big 5 en andere geherintroduceerde dieren allemaal op één dag te zien. 08.30 uur ophalen bij uw hotel/accommodatie. Begin uw tour in een luxe voertuig met een professionele gids aan het roer. Verlaat de stad en rijd langs de snelweg N1 langs het Taalmonument buiten Paarl.
Reis omhoog door de majestueuze Du Toitskloof-pas met indrukwekkende landschappen overal om je heen. Stop bovenaan om het uitzicht in je op te nemen en de Tafelberg van een afstand te bewonderen.
Geniet van het prachtige landschap van de beroemde wijnlanden van de Breede River Valley en de Hex River Valley op weg naar het wildreservaat.
Stop bij Du Toitskloof Wines voor wijnproeverij en de Ou Meul Bakery & Cafe naast de deur voor koffie en een traktatie, omringd door de majestueuze Du Toitskloof bergketen. Du Toitskloof Wines biedt een grote verscheidenheid aan wijnen van 6 verschillende omliggende boerderijen in de Breede River Valley en staan bekend om hun bekroonde Chenin Blanc. Met hun Fairtrade-initiatief profiteren jaarlijks meer dan 3000 mensen direct van al hun verschillende projecten. Wijnproeverij = R60pp Als wijn niet je ding is, kun je naast de deur genieten van een kopje Bootleggers koffie en een overheerlijk zelfgemaakt gebak bij de beroemde Ou Meul Bakery & Cafe. Blader door hun mooie cadeauwinkel en verrukkelijke scala aan zelfgebakken specialiteiten.
Aankomst op de 10 000 hectare grote privé wildboerderij. Hun entree is extra, maar inclusief een gratis glas champagne, een uitgebreide lunchbuffet en een 2 - 3 uur durende game drive met een professionele game ranger (ongeveer 14 personen per voertuig). Een privé game drive is beschikbaar tegen een meerprijs van R3555 voor het voertuig (maximaal 8 personen). Dit is een unieke kans om alle Big 5 d.w.z. leeuwen, olifanten, buffels, luipaarden en neushoorns plus andere dieren allemaal op één dag te zien. De toegangsprijs voor het wildpark = R1890pp laagseizoen / R2365pp middenseizoen / R2580 pp hoogseizoen, kinderen halve prijs. Vooruitbetaling is vereist om toegang te krijgen. Wij boeken namens u en sturen u een betaallink (creditcards worden geaccepteerd). Prijzen kunnen zonder kennisgeving worden gewijzigd.
Stop voor een comfortabele pauze (koffie optioneel extra) in de Du Kloof Lodge, gelegen aan de rivier de Molenaars met de spectaculaire Wittebergberg op de achtergrond.
Reis terug naar Kaapstad via de beroemde Hugenotentunnel. U wordt rond 18.30 uur afgezet bij uw hotel/accommodatie.

Wonderful guide Werner made the trip so interesting - safari was fab lots of amazing animal encounters and a lovely buffet lunch included
Wonderful experience for the whole family. The winery was tranquil, bakery had great food and a playground for the kids to keep busy. The drive was serene the whole way. Safari was unbelievable, saw four of the big five within 30 minutes. Food was excellent and our guides were very friendly and outgoing. Amazing experience that I wish we had do earlier on our trip

Almost all of the Big Five seen! During very severe rainstorms with thunderstorms! A truly adventurous tour. Despite the weather, it was an experience we will never forget! The driver, Werner, was very nice! And the tour guides were true driving artists! All in all, an unforgettable day!

Chesney was a fantastic guide. During the drive, we had great conversations about the country and its people. We had a wonderful time at Aquila National Park. Werner was our tour guide for the day and this tour exceeded expectations. We got to stop at a winery on the way and then proceeded to have lunch at Aquila before heading out for our game drive that we booked. We saw over 10 different animal species and 4 of the big 5. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a safari but is limited on time

The guide was excellent. The game drive was costly and disappointing compared to most game drives we have been on.
Hi Craig, This small private game reserve (10,000 hectares) will admittedly never be able to compete with its bigger brothers (e.g the Kruger National Park @ 2 million hectares), but it does offer the unique possibility of seeing the Big 5 in their natural habitat in one afternoon within driving distance of Cape Town. The reserve has won many international awards for conservation and are world renown for the re-introduction & re-habilitation of game in the Karoo area. Most of the animals were rescued from captivity and did not learn to hunt, so they are fed. It is also standard practice to remove rhino horns to prevent poaching. We are pleased, however, that you enjoyed everything else about your day Jamie will be grateful for the praise, he truly is excellent!
This day safari outside of Cape Town far exceeded our expectations! We saw 4 of the Big Five, along with numerous other animals. It was so amazing to see them roaming in the wild. We opted for the private vehicle, which I would highly recommend! This was well worth the money and was amazing!

It is a great experience with breathtaking views. I won´t give any spoilers, only maybe take a warm jacket and hat because it might get a little bit cold. Definitely a must do if you are in town. Fantastic crew and the food was very good.
