The Rolling Stones, opgericht in de Ealing Club in het voorjaar van 1962, begonnen hun carrière op zondag 24 februari 1963 in het Station Hotel, Richmond. Reis terug naar hun geboorteplaats en bezoek de locaties in West-Londen waar ze tussen 1962 en 1964 regelmatig optraden. De tour neemt je mee langs hun huizen en trefpunten in Chelsea en de locaties waar ze speelden en rondhingen. Je bezoekt Olympic Studios, waar ze zes opeenvolgende albums opnamen, en de locatie in de kerkzaal in Richmond, waar de groep optrad voor een tiental fans in verschillende bezettingen voordat ze hun eerste wekelijkse residentie in de Crawdaddy Club in Richmond veiligstelden. Je zult zien waar Mick en Ronnie recentelijk hebben gewoond en van de spectaculaire uitzichten waarvan ze genoten vanaf de top van Richmond Hill, voordat de tour eindigt op Richmond Station met snelle en frequente diensten terug naar alle delen van Londen en Windsor.

Waar The Stones in 2000 nog optraden op een privéfeest
Een stop van 10 minuten bij Olympic. The Stones namen hier tussen 1966 en 1972 zes opeenvolgende albums op met Chris Kimsey en Glyn Johns. Hun eerste hit 'Come On', uitgebracht in 1963, werd opgenomen op de vorige locatie van Olympic aan Baker Street in Londen.
Voorheen het Station Hotel, de thuisbasis van de oorspronkelijke Crawdaddy Club, is dit de locatie in Richmond waar The Stones op zondag 24 februari 1963 hun eerste residentie veiligstelden en waar ze The Beatles voor het eerst ontmoetten en tekenden voor Decca Records
Kijk waar Mick en Jerry begin jaren negentig woonden (ze woont hier nog steeds met haar nieuwe echtgenoot Rupert Murdoch), waar Ronnie Wood vanaf 1971 woonde. It was my husband's 70th birthday - a long-time fan of The Rolling Stones, so an ideal gift for him. Paul, our tour guide, met us at Earl's Court Station in his groovy psychedelic mini-bus - you couldn't miss him! From the start, Paul was a wealth of information about The Stones, indeed the 60's in general; my husband knows his music but was very impressed with Paul's knowledge and anecdotes about The Stones. The highlight for us was a photo opportunity on the very same stage The Stones at in 2000 at the Half Moon. Also, a tour of Olympic Studios and the original Crawdaddy Club in Richmond. The day could not have been better! I'd highly recommend this tour to any Stones fans.

We had a wonderful tour with our guide, Paul! His experience and knowledge of the music industry really helped provide colorful commentary for our tour. My father is an avid Stones fan and I heavily researched this experience for him. He loved it!!!!

My friends and I saw the Rolling Stones on Twickenham's Eel Pie Island in 1963 and the Yardbirds in Richmond subsequently. A number of us took the 'Visit the Birthplace of The Rolling Stones' tour and it was incredibly informative, lots of great anecdotes and the tour stopped at lots of places to talk about events to do with the Stones that most people (other than perhaps Bill Wyman!!) didn't know about. So whether you saw he Stones in Richmond or, regardless of your age, so wished you had, then this is the brilliant tour for you.

We took the shorter Rock ‘n’ Royal Richmond tour, encompassing Rolling Stones (and other 60s bands) early days, punctuated with fascinating local history. We took the shorter tour of Richmond and could not be more pleased. Paul is very knowledgeable of Richmond and personally knows many rock stars. He lived in the Swinging 60s and can connect you to that place and time. We saw both locations of the Crawdaddy Club and The Wick, including the great view from Richmond Hill. This tour was amazing! We were two couples and the guys are real music fans. One is a die hard Rolling Stones fan. While I would say, us two wives, “went along for the ride.” After the tour, I think i can say that I might have had more fun than the fans. I learned so much!!! Paul, our tour guide was a wealth of information. Not only about the band but about other history too from Shakespeare and Henry the 8th to current musicians! The origins of The Rolling Stones as well as so many other 60’s musicians was presented in a very interesting way as we stopped at so many sites and homes. Also lots of beautiful views. This tour EXCEEDED all our expectations. Excellent stops, perfect timing, fun van and all kinds of extra information. We started in London and finished off in Richmond. As a special bonus we even got to see the Ted Lasso sites. Lol!

Fantastic night at The 100 Club to celebrate The Stones’ 60th Birthday. Great start with the Routemaster trip around their old haunts and a few other music legends. A signed copy of The Stone Age by Lesley Ann-Jones was a real bonus. I’ve seen The Stones a few times and Not The Rolling Stones were, dare I say it, better than the real thing!
