Krijg in deze Tour exclusieve toegang tot een van de meest exclusieve sportlocaties van Qatar op het Al-Sahaniya Camel-racecircuit, bekend als de "sporten van de sjeiks" en zie waar kamelen worden getraind tussen toernooien door. Aan het einde van de westkust is er een plaats genaamd Zekreet, erkend door UNESCO als een van 's werelds biosfeerreservaat. Gelegen op slechts 80 km van het centrum van Doha. Zekreet is de thuisbasis van grote hellingen en kalksteenformaties gevormd door sterke wind en erosie gedurende tientallen jaren. Als je daar eenmaal bent aangekomen, zul je getuige zijn van enkele van de meest unieke pittoreske locaties in het woestijnlandschap. Je kunt de paraplurotsformatie zien waar de Arabische Zee de kalksteenrotsformaties ontmoet. Genesteld tussen kalkstenen rotsformaties buiten Zekreet, net ten noorden van Doha, ligt de East-West/West-East Sculpture-installatie van Richard Serra. De installatie, bestaande uit vier stalen platen, elk meer dan 14 meter hoog, overspant meer dan 1 km, en is altijd getuige van de zonsondergang en de opkomst van de zon.

Sam was a great guide, he shared enlightening comments about the city and the tour, the west coast is impressive and we even had a bit of an off road experience. Visit to the camel racetrack was lots of fun, so many camels gathered for their training at the racetrack and also crossing the main road, loved the ride.
We really enjoyed seeing the camel training facility. Be aware that you will not see racing but the training is very unique and interesting. Our guide was very informative, Sajid. We went to the desert and saw very interesting sculptures.
Very interesting and different tour. Excellent experience in the desert. Our guide, Sajid Khan, was very nice, informative and we always felt in good hands. We learned so much about the camel racing/training and the desert formations. Highly recommend.
Great itinerary and professionally organized tour. Our driver and guide Yam was very kind and attentive to every detail and was prepared both on the places we visited and on other general aspects of life in Qatar. The experience in the camel circuit (which are actually dromedaries) of Al Shahaniya in my opinion is a must if you visit this country; when we went there were no races, but seeing the camels training makes the idea equally clear. The second part of the tour was equally interesting, The desert of the west is rocky and therefore very different from the sandy desert of the south. You arrive at the fort of Zekreet and see the installations of Richard Serra
Must go. Different experience. Check the timing of the race before going there. Better to hire a car for half day. Leave early in the morning for race. By 12 noon everything is basically finished.

Saleh is the best driver ever see!! thanks for all!!! It's already the second excursion we do with it. The first one we went to the desert, to the sea and to ride a camel, it was incredible!!!!
