Belegering van de Sarajevo-tour
Beschrijving
Een rondleiding langs de langste belegering in moderne oorlogsvoering. Deze tour zal proberen het leven van een belegerde stad, de belangrijkste gebeurtenissen en veldslagen, de politieke en strategische situatie uit te leggen en de geschiedenis vertellen over waarom en hoe de oorlog begon en eindigde. We bezoeken Tunel DB, sluipschutternest en het bobsleebaan. Van 1992 tot begin 1996 was Sarajevo volledig afgesloten van de rest van de wereld. Deze tour zal je de geschiedenis, politiek, strategie, doelstellingen en waanzin van de langste belegering in de geschiedenis van de moderne oorlogsvoering laten zien. Hoe vormde het Bosnische leger? Hoe sterk was het leger van agressors? Hoe begon het beleg? Wat waren de ergste gruweldaden? Wat was de rol van de internationale gemeenschap? Hoe verdedigden de burgers van Sarajevo zichzelf? Hoeveel projectielen werden dagelijks op de stad afgevuurd? Het antwoord op deze en nog veel meer vragen zit in deze tour.

We zullen praten over het beleg, een film kijken, het leven in de belegerde stad uitleggen en door de overblijfselen van de tunnel lopen.
We zullen de artillerie-posities bezoeken van waaruit de stad werd gebombardeerd.

Honestly an incredible trip with a guide who lives his job with passion and dedication. I was able to learn a lot about the history of a country that was unknown to me and which is now ingrained in my heart.
I went on a group trip through my university for 9 days with our tour guide Kenan. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Bosnia and he made our trip an experience of a lifetime. He took us all around the country and told us stories in every place we visited. Kenan went above and beyond by showing us the city after hours, and even taking us on a ski trip on his day off. If you are considering touring with Highlander Adventures, DO IT! You will not regret it.

A magnificent country with a rich and endearing history. Sarajevo is the most emblematic city I have visited so far, it is beautiful and indeed the Jerusalem of Europe. In addition, the guide explains the history of the city and the country very well, he knows Bosnia perfectly.
