Voor een leuk avontuur dichtbij Melbourne hoeft u niet verder te zoeken dan onze Yarra Valley Guided Bike Tour. Een ontspannen fietstocht door deze gerenommeerde eet- en wijnregio op de Warburton Rail Trail. Geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht op de Yarra Valley Ranges terwijl u langs wijngaarden en lokale tuinderijen fietst met de geluiden en bezienswaardigheden van de inheemse fauna en flora. Stop voor ochtendthee in een plaatselijk café of het iconische Carriage Café. Na de fietstocht kunt u genieten van een houtgestookte pizza-lunch in de wijngaard en een glas wijn, bier of frisdrank. Ervaar de iconische Yarra Valley Rail Trail. De Warburton-spoorlijn, geopend in 1901, vervoerde landbouwproducten van de Yarra Valley naar Melbourne. Ontmanteld in de jaren '60 werd het ongebruikt gelaten tot het midden van de jaren '90, toen de lokale gemeenschap zich inzette om een recreatieve RailTrail te ontwikkelen. De Warburton RailTrail werd officieel geopend in 1998 en biedt een pittoresk recreatief fietsen & wandelpad.
Geniet na de cyclus van wijnproeverijen en een houtgestookte pizza-lunch in een lokale Yarra Valley-wijngaard.

Bezoek de Yarra Valley Dairy en ervaar een proeverij van heerlijke lokaal gemaakte ambachtelijke kazen. Yarra Valley Dairy is gehuisvest in de 100 jaar oude melkstal met een prachtig uitzicht op de Yarra Valley.
Verken het station van Yering, waar in 1838 de eerste wijngaard van Victoria werd aangeplant. Geniet van het proeven van prachtige wijnen met een koud klimaat en geniet van een wandeling over het prachtige terrein.

Neem de metro vanaf Flinders Street Railway Station in Melbourne naar Lilydale Railway Station. De reis duurt ongeveer 50 minuten. Na aankomst in Lilydale volgt u de borden "Way Out" vanaf het perron naar de parkeerplaats van het station. Een gids van Cycling Vine Tours wacht onderaan de trap bij de fietsenrekken op de parkeerplaats van het station.

We had a great day with Allison. She was very attentive and flexible to accommodate our schedule. We spend the morning on the bikes, had a great lunch and then headed out to the wineries. Great day over all.
We had a wonderful day with Allison! Starting with a fantastic bike ride, lovely Devonshire tea and then heading for a delicious lunch and wine tasting in the afternoon. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to have a fun day and check out a bit of the Yarra Valley.

Less than 24 hours after touching down in Australia we found ourselves biking on the Warburton Rail Trail in the beautiful Yarra Valley with Allison. What a great morning with a sunny stop for coffee and biscuits. Wine tasting and lunch topped off with kangaroos in the vineyard!! It made for the perfect first day. Great company, food and scenery and loads of travel tips - Allison was such a wonderful guide. Thank you for the memorable day!

Allison was the perfect host seeking to tailor the day for me. Cycling was great as it really felt like I got to experience something really different after a week in the city. Highly recommended, flexible, well maintained bikes and great comapny. The wine tasting was also an added bonus.

What a great day we had - a very personalized tour of the Yarra ranges including a 20 km bike ride with a very welcome morning tea stop in the middle. The bikes were in great condition and very comfortable. Then a delicious pub lunch and on to tour Warburton and the spectacular Red wood forest. The rain set in so we headed for a winery to sample the local wines. Our tour guide Allison was super organised, friendly , punctual and knew all the best spots to go. Highly recommended!
Thanks for the lovely review. The weather gods were certainly with us, providing great sunny weather in the valley for cycling on the Warburton Rail Trail then as the rain came it was time for some lunch and wine tasting to complement the pedalling we had done.

As a solo traveler I am always thankful when a tour is not cancelled because it is just me. My guide (and part owner) Allison confirmed all the details prior to meeting her day of my tour. It seems that when a group is on the smaller side there is more wiggle room to customize what a person wants to do. I didn't have much preference but to be led by a professional through an area unknown to me, have a delicious lunch and of course do some wine tasting. We met at a train station and Allison drove us to where we would start cycling along the rail trail. The day was quite overcast but I told her I was not worried, and was right about the sun coming out soon after we started. I am one to take lots of photos, and Allison did not mind me stopping whatsoever, plus she took many of me along the way. We even stopped for a morning tea at a lovely cafe, and then cycled back. We then made our way to the first of two wineries where we had some lunch, admired the beautiful scenery and of course had some delicious wine. There is nothing that could have made this day more perfect!!! Thank you Allison for a splendid and memorable day!!!
