Ontsnap uit de stad en ontdek het prachtige platteland van Lyon en zijn beste bezienswaardigheden. Breng een bezoek aan Oingt en Pérouges, vermeld in de 157 mooiste steden van Frankrijk en proef bekroonde Beaujolais-wijnen bij een klein familiewijnhuis. Een educatieve en leuke tour met vrienden die je nooit zult vergeten.

Om 8.50 uur zal onze Engelssprekende gids u ontmoeten voor de hoofdingang van het Lyon Office de Tourisme-gebouw op het Bellecour-plein (50 m tegenover Le Royal Hotel). Na een korte wandeling stappen de deelnemers op de 8-persoons minibus om de excursie te beginnen.
Begin de ochtend met het verkennen van de Beaujolais die wordt beschouwd als de mooiste wijnregio van Frankrijk en ontdek de onbekende schoonheid van het Gouden Stenen Land. Stop in de stad Châtillon d'Azergues om de 13e-eeuwse kastelen te bewonderen, omringd door de stadsmuren.
Steek vervolgens verschillende middeleeuwse stadjes over die zijn gebouwd in okerkleurige stenen, waaronder de steden Chessy Les Mines en Bagnols. Bezoek het mooie pittoreske dorpje Oingt dat op de lijst staat van de 157 mooiste steden van Frankrijk. Loop door de hoofdstraat, bezoek de Saint Mathieu-kerk en geniet van een panoramisch uitzicht op prachtige landschappen met glooiende heuvels bezaaid met wijngaarden.
Duw de deur van een familiewijnmakerij open en dompel jezelf onder in geschiedenis, "terroir" en traditie en ontmoet de wijnmaker zelf. Geniet van een privéwijngaardinspectie, leer meer over het wijnbereidingsproces en proef verschillende Beaujolais, waaronder witte, rosé en rode wijnen in een vriendelijke sfeer.
Verwen uzelf tijdens de lunch met een heerlijke maaltijd in een typisch Beaujolais "bistrot"-restaurant dat regionale gerechten serveert. Onze gids zal graag alle verschillende cursussen voor u vertalen en uitleggen! Menu's vanaf € 20 / persoon, NIET inbegrepen.
In de middag, na een chauffeur van 45 minuten, ontdekt u de middeleeuwse stad Pérouges, een "must see" attractie die u terug doet reizen naar de middeleeuwen! Loop langs geplaveide straten en waardeer de architectuur van oude huizen uit de XIII tot de XVI eeuw. Leer meer over de Franse geschiedenis terwijl je deze unieke setting ontdekt die meerdere keren is gebruikt voor achtergrondfilms, waaronder de 3 Musketeers. Geniet ten slotte van 30 minuten vrije tijd: slenter door kleine ambachtelijke souvenirwinkels of probeer de lokale speciale pannenkoek genaamd "galette" (niet inbegrepen in de tour).
Om 17:15 uur brengt onze gids je terug naar Lyon en zet je af op het Bellecour-plein voor Lyon Office de Tourisme. Einde van een mooie dag!

We had a fantastic time with Oliver our guide. He was funny and most engaging. The wine tasting was so informative and excellent in taste. The whole experience was excellent value
Fantastic time of year to explore "the most beautiful villages of France!" Gorgeous buildings, wineries, food, ruins & shops. Bring your walking shoes, Google Translate (for the parking instructions and church explanations), and clothing layers. With only one exception, everyone was fantastically (sp?) NICE!! We had a lovely time wandering and learning. Highly recommend!!
Such an enjoyable day! From the outset, Sebastian made the tour interesting and fun. Despite the rain in the morning, we enjoyed the journey through the besujolais countryside and pretty villages. It was great to get a bit of history and geography as well as info about the vibes, setting the ei es into context. We tasted some some fabulous wines, all before lunch (!)especially the reds at the Chateau du Faux, the family vineyard. Lunch was excellent and inexpensive (more wine there toi). Perougyes, the final village on the way home, was gorgeous and full of medieval charm. 10/10 for this tour and the best guide we could have wished for! Loved it! Many thanks, Gill and Christine,

Sebastian our guide was superb. We saw and experienced much of Beaujolais and learnt much about the wines of the region . The drive was comfortable

It was a long day. The small towns were pretty quiet, very few shops open. The family owned vineyard was the highlight, meeting and interacting with the owner. The lunch stop was enjoyable, great menu choices and delicious.

Sebastian made this a wonderful experience. The instructions were clear on where to meet and he explained the events for the day. We headed out in a van from Lyon to Beaujolais. We first visited the town of Oingt, then headed to a winery, then on to Sebastian's family winery, lunch in a small near by town and closed out the day by visiting another medival town, Pérouges. Sebastian shared facts and history of each town as well as information about Lyon so, when we returned to Lyon, we were able to check out a few areas on our own that he had mentioned. I highly recommend booking a tour with Sebastian. He is knowledgable not only about Beaujolais, its wine, but also the history of the area and Lyon.

Oliver is a fantastic guide, very relaxed and accommodating, even did an extra stop so two girls on our tour could get breakfast. Loved the two wineries we visited and the restaurant he chose for lunch. Also visited Oingt as well as Perouges. Highly recommend this tour

I just loved this day. We had a great group of people on our bus, Oliver was amazing, he gave us lots of interesting information and looked after us beautifully. We did 2 medieval villages and 2 wineries with generous pours of wine. It’s a long day but it’s really is perfect. We also stopped for a delicious lunch in Marcy. This was the most picturesque, joyful day and my husband and I just loved it. Thank you Oliver for a wonderful tour - I highly recommend this tour if you are in Lyon.

A very fun day with Sebastian- the highlight was visiting his family's winery and learning more about Beaujolais. We also got to see backroads and small towns that we would not have had the opportunity to see if we had been with a large tour. An amazing lunch, two wine tastings and a nap in the van on the way back. Would highly recommend!
