De prachtige stad Bath is al sinds de Romeinse tijd een bestemming. 'Aquae Sulis', wat de oorspronkelijke naam van de stad is, zou rond 43 na Christus bewoond zijn geweest. The Roman Baths is aangewezen als zowel een monumentaal pand als een gepland monument.
Veel mensen zien Bath Abbey als het centrum van de stad. De abdij is een van de meest bezochte attracties in het zuidwesten.
De reis van de Abbey Courtyard naar York Street voert je door Kingston Parade, dat in werkelijkheid meer een plein is dan een promenade, zoals de naam al doet vermoeden. Aangenomen wordt dat Pulteney Bridge een van de slechts vier bruggen ter wereld is met aan beide zijden winkels over de volledige overspanning. Het idee voor Pulteney Bridge kwam van een man genaamd William Johnston Pulteney.
Pulteney Weir is al eeuwenlang een kenmerk van de stad. Het verscheen voor het eerst op kaarten van Bath in 1603 en was oorspronkelijk gebouwd om twee korenmolens aan beide zijden van de rivier aan te drijven.
Henrietta Park, een beetje buiten het toeristische pad, is een van de verborgen juweeltjes van Bath. Het park is een zeven hectare groot terrein dat in 1897 werd geopend om het diamanten jubileum van koningin Victoria te vieren.

Upper Borough Walls dankt zijn naam aan de plaats van de oorspronkelijke stadsmuur van het middeleeuwse Bath. Veel van de huizen langs deze weg staan op de monumentenlijst.
Er is waarschijnlijk geen betere plek om de Georgische architectuur van Bath te zien dan het Circus. Het Circus heette oorspronkelijk ‘het Koningscircus’.
De halve maan is gebouwd tussen 1767 en 1775. Er staan hier 30 monumentale huizen. Er zijn verschillende andere Georgische halve manen gevonden in de stad Bath, waaronder Lansdown Crescent en Somerset Place.
Royal Victoria Park werd in 1830 geopend door prinses Victoria, die op elfjarige leeftijd de toekomstige koningin was.
Gay Street maakte deel uit van de ontwikkeling van Circus, ontworpen door John Wood the Elder en voltooid door John Wood the Younger na de dood van zijn vader. Veel van de huizen langs dit traject zijn monumentaal I of II.
Queen Square is een gemeenschappelijke tuin van een hectare, omringd door monumentale gebouwen. Het plein is gewijd aan koningin Caroline, de vrouw van George II.
Het Theatre Royal is een Georgiaans gebouw uit 1805 en gerenoveerd in 2010. Het is een van de oudste en misschien wel de meest aantrekkelijke theaters van het land.
Thermae Bath Spa is gebouwd op de plaats van de voormalige Beau Street-zwembaden en werd in 2006 geopend. De spa wordt verwarmd met behulp van het natuurlijk thermale water van het Minerva Bath.

A bit over priced and lots of people being let in at once. But because I was travelling solo, the handheld phone guide was perfect.
We really enjoyed this tour. We've been meaning to do it for a while as we've done one from this company before so we know they're always good quality and easy to use. We never have any issues using the app, like others have said - it's really straightforward and it does what it says it's going to do. You also get the tour for a month, which makes it great value and means you can do it at your leisure. Absolutely fascinating and we've learned loads about Bath that we didn't know before (and we're regular visitors).

I was disappointed with the amount of information provided on the Roman Baths. I ended up having to use the headsets provided at the Baths. The information on all the sites was way too cursory and not meaningful enough to warrant acquiring the tour.

Attempted a number of times to use offline...download tour blah, waste of time. I am phone savvy...but this stumped me. Didn't complete sights 3 to 18. Would not recommend.

After having had excellent experiences of using Viator in the USA, this one left us sorely disappointed. This fee is to be able to download an App that offers commentary on a walking tour across Bath. Totally different from what I was looking for. Was further deceived into thinking I was getting into something else when the email from Viator asked me to go to their office to collect my tickets. That office was closed and pointed to another location where they had re-located and there was no office in that second building either. The phone number to call was a non-UK number which no longer existed. Seemed like a scam.

The tour functions normally and thousands of travellers use it without issue each year. its a very bad experience using this service I have paid £35.96 and we were unable to use it, and no one responded to my calls. I paid for another company to get my tour sorted. .please refund the amount.

This is a good idea and was great to start with. But then the App kept crashing. I had to uninstall and reinstall three times and gave up in the end. I did message someone about it but I just got told to make sure I was online...which I was. I also had problems with the audio not playing properly when it was working at the beginning so all in all I'd not recommend this.

Great facts - chewed up my phone battery. Had pop back and forth with maps because the Pandemic App kept crashing l.
