Tijdens deze kleine groepsreis begint u aan een reis door de wildere, schaarse zuidelijke Cotswolds. Bewonder het uitzicht op het platteland, ontdek het 'koninklijke' Tetbury en stap terug in de tijd in het piepkleine Castle Combe. U verkent ook de geweldige werelderfgoedstad Bath! Na het ophalen van onze gasten uit Stratford-upon-Avon (08.50) of Moreton-in-Marsh (09.30), reizen we naar Tetbury. Deze kleine, mooie en typisch Cotswold marktstad staat bekend om zijn schilderachtige straatjes, historische markthal en geweldige winkels - vooral als je van antiek houdt. Koning Charles III woont op het nabijgelegen Highgrove Estate! Vanaf Tetbury is het naar de UNESCO Werelderfgoedstad Bath. Eerst maken we een snelle fotostop bij de iconische Royal Crescent. Daarna zetten we je af in het centrum van Bath voor 2 uur en 45 minuten vrije tijd om te verkennen met kaarten die we bieden. Pak onderweg de lunch zodat je zoveel mogelijk kunt zien! Verken tenslotte het idyllische Castle Combe, consequent gerangschikt als het “mooiste dorp van Engeland”!

Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal in Stratford-upon-Avon is het eerste van onze twee opstapplaatsen. Als u onze Stratford-upon-Avon pick-up point selecteert, ontmoet hier om 08.45, klaar voor vertrek om 08.50.
Een rit van 30 minuten door het mooie platteland van Warwickshire Cotswolds brengt ons naar Moreton-in-Marsh, de tweede van onze opstapplaatsen. Als u onze Moreton-in-Marsh ophaallocatie selecteert, wacht u op de parkeerplaats buiten het ticketkantoor van het treinstation van Moreton-in-Marsh. De tour vertrekt, en begint officieel, hier om 9.30 uur.
Na een mooie reis van 45 minuten van Moreton-in-Marsh, komen we aan in het zuidelijke Cotswold marktstadje Tetbury - een prachtige en historische must-see locatie. Tetbury's schilderachtige straatjes omvatten de pittoreske 'Chipping Steps' en zijn de thuisbasis van tal van onafhankelijke winkels, cafés, tea-rooms en - vooral - antiekwinkels! Fans van de Britse koninklijke familie zijn in voor een traktatie hier - Koning Charles en koningin Camilla wonen op Tetbury's Highgrove Estate! Een Highgrove Estate winkel is hier voor al uw koninklijke souvenirs!
Na een heerlijke reis van 45 minuten vanuit Tetbury komen we aan in de prachtige stad Bath. Eerst maken we een snelle fotostop bij de fotogenieke Royal Crescent. Dit indrukwekkende gebogen terras wordt beschouwd als het mooiste voorbeeld van Georgische architectuur in het land! Fans van Jane Austen en Bridgerton zullen blij zijn als The Royal Crescent is een populaire filmlocatie voor Georgische periode tv en film werken.
Een rit van 15 minuten van The Royal Crescent brengt ons naar het centrum van Bath. Deze ongelooflijk mooie stad staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO! Je hebt ongeveer 2 uur en 45 minuten vrije tijd om hier te verkennen, met kaarten die we bieden. Je hebt geen tijd om alles te doen wat Bath te bieden heeft, maar een bezoek aan de beroemde Romeinse baden, Bath Abbey en het Jane Austen Centre staan hoog op de to-do-lijstjes van veel bezoekers! Vergeet niet om te winkelen voor souvenirs en pak wat lunch ook!
Vanuit Bath is het 35 minuten rijden naar onze eindhalte: het idyllische dorpje Castle Combe, herhaaldelijk verkozen tot "het mooiste dorp van Engeland". Haal die Instagram-waardige foto’s op de schilderachtige brug, maar vergeet het ook niet met eigen ogen te zien! Een wandeling door het piepkleine Castle Combe voelt als een stap terug in de tijd.
Het duurt ongeveer 1 uur en 30 minuten rijden van Castle Combe terug naar Moreton-in-Marsh station, dus leun achterover, ontspannen en genieten van het mooie platteland van Cotswolds als het rolt door. We keren terug naar Moreton-in-Marsh om ongeveer 18.00 uur.
Een laatste 30 minuten rijden brengt ons terug naar Stratford-upon-Avon, waar we afscheid nemen van onze overgebleven passagiers. De drop off tijd is hier ongeveer 18.30 uur. We hopen dat je een geweldige dag had Bath en de Southern Cotswolds met ons te verkennen!

- Er zijn twee opstapplaatsen voor deze tour: Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal, Stratford-upon-Avon – Vertrek om 08:50 uur; Moreton-in-Marsh Rail Station – Vertrek om 09:30 uur. Houd er rekening mee dat de starttijd van de tour op uw ticket 08:50 kan worden weergegeven, ongeacht de door u gekozen ophaallocatie. Als u echter Moreton-in-Marsh hebt geselecteerd, is uw werkelijke vertrektijd 09:30 uur. Gelieve minstens 5 minuten voor uw geplande vertrek aanwezig te zijn.
- Kijk uit naar onze vriendelijke gids in Go Cotswolds uniform, rijdend in een grote witte minibus met groene en paarse Go Cotswolds branding - u zult ons niet missen!
- Controleer uw geselecteerde ophaalpunt. Af en toe stoppen we niet bij beide, dus op de verkeerde locatie aankomen kan resulteren in achterblijven. Om uw opstapplaats te wijzigen, logt u in op uw account om uw boeking bij te werken. Hulp nodig bij het kiezen van de beste optie? Neem contact met ons op!
- Als u met de trein in Moreton-in-Marsh aankomt, is de trein die aankomt om ongeveer 09:17–09:20 ideaal. Het is een klein station, en het is slechts een 1-2 minuten lopen naar de parkeerplaats waar uw gids u zal ontmoeten.
- Als u met de trein in Stratford-upon-Avon aankomt, houd er dan rekening mee dat ons opstappunt op 5-10 minuten lopen van het station ligt. Houd er rekening mee dat er op zondag geen treinen aankomen voordat de tour vertrekt.
- Uber en soortgelijke diensten zijn niet algemeen beschikbaar in de Cotswolds, en lokale taxi's kunnen moeilijk zijn om last minute te boeken. Wij raden u ten zeerste aan om vooraf taxi’s te boeken of waar mogelijk het openbaar vervoer te gebruiken.
- Als u niet op tijd bij uw ophaalpunt bent (08:50 in Stratford-upon-Avon, 09:30 in Moreton-in-Marsh) en we kunnen geen contact met u opnemen, vertrekt de tour zonder u. Zorg ervoor dat we uw juiste mobiele nummer met internationale kiescode hebben voor uw tour.
- Na de tour kunt u de verdere reis als volgt plannen: van Moreton-in-Marsh: Na 18:00 uur; vanuit Stratford-upon-Avon: Na 18:30 uur. Houd er rekening mee dat deze terugkeertijd iets later is dan sommige andere tours van Go Cotswolds!
- We hebben voldoende beveiligde bagageruimte aan boord van onze voertuigen, maar houd er rekening mee dat onze gidsen mogelijk niet kunnen helpen met zeer zware bagage
- Kinderen van 3 tot 15 jaar moeten te allen tijde worden begeleid door een volwassene. Sorry, geen kinderen jonger dan 3.
- Tours lopen in alle behalve gevaarlijk weer – kleed je gepast!
- Toegankelijkheid : Gebruikers van lichtgewicht mobiliteitshulpmiddelen zoals wandelstokken, loopframes en opvouwbare handrolstoelen zijn welkom op onze tours, mits u 3 treden kunt beklimmen om in en uit onze minibus te stappen, meerdere keren tijdens de tour. Lichtgewicht, opvouwbare handrolstoelen kunnen in de bagageruimte van onze minibus worden opgeborgen. Het spijt ons, we kunnen geen rolstoelgebruikers ontvangen die niet zonder hulp in en uit hun stoel kunnen stappen, noch kunnen we elektrische rolstoelen of scootmobielen ontvangen.

Go Cotswolds is an award winning tour company for good reason. The admin staff were so helpful as we planned our visit, and both Sue and Lisa were very patient with my endless questions. Our tour group was smaller than usual and we enjoyed our new friends (especially the 2nd Jessica, added to our merry group of Lori’s and Jessica’s!) Our guide was knowledgeable and made the driving time between towns interesting. I felt like I had all the time I wanted in Castle Combe but could have easily spend another hour in Tetbury. We left the tour in Bath and continued on to London but our time there, and the helpful recommendations from our guide, made Bath memorable. I highly recommend Go Cotswolds to anyone looking to spend time in this beautiful area!

This is actually the second of three reviews for our three tours of the Cotswolds with gocotswolds . Our tour guide Elaine did a wonderful job of educating us about the history of the Cotswolds and exactly how it came to be. She was loaded with facts and tips about each stop and was very friendly. We did all three tours with Go Cotswolds, Secret. day in the Cotswolds and this one, all three were very enjoyable and well organized. Tour guides were knowledgeable and fun and took great care of us and gave us suggestions on what to do in our free time. It's a nice way to see the area and leaving the driving and parking to them.

This was our 2nd Tour with Go Cotswolds . Wendy, was our driver/tour guide. She did an excellent job of getting around the Cotswolds area on a beautiful sunny Sunday day. The villages we visited were very busy, but thankfully with our 16 passenger van, Wendy was able to find parking to drop us off so we could explore on our own. This is the beauty of Go Cotswolds tours. The guides provide the history of the villages you are going to visit for the day as you drive along. Then when you get to the villages you are on your own to explore, eat, etc. it is the best of both worlds. I highly recommend that you book as many tours with Go Cotswolds as your time allows. It’s the only way to see the Cotswolds! We booked all three tours that they offered in the Spring!

The tour was perfectly well organised. The timing was good. Martin gave us a lot of information and he was fun. I liked a lot the tour. We started at 9h30 from Moreton and got back there around 18h, so all day long but we got to know many places. We were a small group (11 people) and all of them were fun and puntual. The cost of the tour is adequate. I did it alone, but I think this tour is great for families (in fact there was a couple with a little girl) or even for couples and groups of friends up to 15 maybe.

We had such a wonderful time doing the Bath and Southern Cotswolds tour with Go Cotswolds! I had a great time on this tour with Martin as our guide! Martin was very personable and entertaining as he took us through the last 2,000 years of English history while we drove to each stop. We had plenty of exploration time in each area and Martin was always there to welcome us back. It's very clear he prioritizes the safety and experience of everyone onboard. This company and the guides have really gone above and beyond for each excursion. I would love to come back with my husband and share these tours with him. Genuinely enjoyed my time and consider it very well spent.

Jason was excellent about the area. In my opinion too much time was allowed in Bath. Perhaps other quaint villages could have been included.
