Bản Giốc, gelegen op de grens tussen China en Vietnam, is de vierde grootste waterval ter wereld. De watervallen zijn 300 meter breed en adembenemend groot. Het uitgestrekte gebied en de verscheidenheid aan watervallen en poelen in het park zijn fascinerend. Gelegen in een opvallende vallei en omgeven door weelderige jungle, voelt Bản Giốc aan als een paradijs op zich.
Een korte maar steile wandeling brengt je naar deze traditionele tempel in Vietnamese stijl. Het ontwerp van de Trúc Lâm-pagode past perfect in de heuvel. Naarmate je hoger klimt naar het belangrijkste tempelgebied, ontvouwt zich beneden een vallei gevuld met karsts. De Trúc Lâm-pagode, een prachtige plek niet ver van de Bản Giốc-watervallen, kan gemakkelijk op dezelfde dag worden bezocht.
De provincie Cao Bằng telt meer dan negen etnische groepen die al eeuwenlang in deze valleien wonen. De Tày, Nùng, Dao en H’mong zijn enkele van de meest bekende, en elke minderheid heeft zijn eigen speciale ambachten en manier van leven. Om de etnische cultuur te ervaren, bezoekt u een ambachtsdorp van minderheden met een van de lokale gidsen, of boekt u tijdens uw reis een etnische gastgezin.
Het Ngườm Ngao-grottensysteem heeft enkele van de meest unieke stalactietenformaties in Zuidoost-Azië. Als je een voet in de grot zet, veranderen de formaties bij elke nieuwe grot. Het hele grottenstelsel is 2.144 meter lang, maar de lokale autoriteiten hebben slechts 948 meter opengesteld voor bezoekers om de natuurlijke schoonheid ervan te behouden.
Cao Bằng City, verankerd rond de rivier de Sông Bằng, is uitgegroeid tot een bruisend ontwikkelingscentrum. Met een kleine maar eigentijdse selectie aan hotels, winkels en restaurants is het de perfecte uitvalsbasis om de rest van de provincie te verkennen. In de stad kun je veel noordelijke specialiteiten proberen, zoals Phở Chua (zure noedelsoep) en Bánh Cuốn (gestoomde rijstrolletjes). Cao Bang City heeft ook verschillende festivals die uniek zijn voor de regio.

It was a very enjoyable day thanks to the friendly and helpful drivers. It is a long way to Banjok Waterfall so you have to be a little prepared, but today was a nice and warm day so I was able to enjoy the view. It may look different if the weather is bad, but it will definitely be a valuable experience.
Very nice Tour with plenty of time to explore the sights on our own pace. Our guide Chau was very nice and knowledgeable. She explained a lot of things to us which we would have missed if we were on our own.
I booked with Viator, the 1 day tour with easy rider. My pickup was supposed to be at 7:30am but the rider was not notified until 8am that morning ( Bad management from the company). So i sat in the lobby waiting until 9am. If it was not for Binh (Bee) my tour guide it would of been a bad day. He spoke english very well, excellent driver and all around good tour guide. It turned out to be a great day due to the tour guide NOT the company. Thanks Binh for the great tour.
Our guide Son and the driver Zioe were very kind! Son was very friendly and was excited to show us around. Zioe does not speak much English but his driving was very good and could tell he is very kind and accommodating. We went to see the Ban Gioc water falls and the boat tour that’s included is definitely worth doing! On our way to the caves, we even went for a quick dip at a river and we also went to the Angel Eye which had an amazing view. 영어 가이드 정말 친절하고 운전기사 분도 통화 거의 안하시고 친절하셨어요! 카오방 오시면 투어 꼭 해볼만 한거 같아요. 점심도 같이 먹었는데 안먹어본 베트남 음식들 먹어볼 수 있어서 좋았어요 ㅋㅋㅋ

This is an amazing tour. The tour organizer (Tom) was extremely helpful and accommodated us with a last-minute change in plan (car instead of motor bikes). Our driver, Mr. Harry and our guide, Mr. light were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to create a fantastic experience. The tour highlights are amazing, spectacular views, and scenery, and a delicious breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend this tour.

Really great tour to the waterfall, caves and mountains! Highly recommend for anyone staying in Cao Bang. The two day one night seems even better but I didn’t have time unfortunately. Tuan was a great fun guide.
