Het dorp Jatiluwih heeft rijstvelden die de contouren van terrasvormig land volgen tegen de achtergrond van de betoverende berg Batukaru en de berg Agung. Het maakt deel uit van het UNESCO-culturele erfgoed van de wereld.
De heuvels van Wanagiri zijn een van de beste uitzichtpunten op Bali. Zwaai over het meer, vogelnesten en meer maken het een van de meest Instagrambare plek in Bali.
Tirta Gangga betekent letterlijk water uit de Ganges en het is een plaats van enige eerbied voor de hindoe-Balinezen. Waterpaleis gebouwd in 1948 door de Raja van Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem.Tirta Gangga is een doolhof van poelen en fonteinen omgeven door een weelderige tuin en stenen beelden en beelden.

Gelegen op ongeveer 5 km ten zuidoosten van het centrum van Karangasem en ook deze plaats bekend onder de lokale naam "waterpaleis" in Taman Ujung heeft drie grote zwembaden en in het midden van het gebouw is er een groot gebouw genaamd Gili Bale, het is verbonden met de rand van de zwembaden door bruggetje Tenganan Village het dorp Bali Aga: Balinese platteland met unieke culturen en sociale leven van de lokale gemeenschap. Het is een van de oude dorpen op Bali, waar het maatschappelijke leven anders is dan het andere dorp op Bali. De samenlevingen van Tenganan Village houden sterk vast aan de unieke activiteiten en aangepaste regels die een van de fascinaties voor toeristen zijn om te bezoeken

I was looking for a private driver to take our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) on a 10 hour private day tour of Bali. After reading the reviews, I reached out to Smile Bali Tours via Whatsapp to get a quote. They responded quickly and with a reasonable price. Once I booked, I received a confirmation e-mail. There were two payment methods. The first was a direct bank transfer and the second was Cash on Arrival. I chose the second option. Weeks before the tour date, I communicated with them via WhatsApp on my desired itinerary. It was an ambitious itin but included Taman Ayun Temple, a luwak coffee plantation, lunch, the Jatiluwih rice terrace, and finishing at Tanah Lot temple. They accepted the itinerary with the warning that it is dependent on traffic but they would try their best. On the day before the tour, they reached out to confirm the pick up location and time. That was important to me as it assured me that they were reliable. Pick up was on time and the vehicle was comfortable for the 6 of us plus the driver. We were also very fortunate to get Adhi as our driver. He is usually a tour guide and not a private charter driver. Adhi was a wonderful driver and guide. He was a safe driver which is important in Bali as the traffic there can be crazy especially at intersections. As we drove, he was able to provide a lot of background of the area we were driving through and also teach us a bit about the culture of Bali. He was also able to provide an overview of each of the sights and what we should be looking for. Since he was not on tour guide duty, he did not accompany us at any of the sights. His English was very good and he has a great sense of humor. At each stop, he made sure we knew where we were, how to get to the attraction, and where we can be picked up when we are done. When we are done, we just have to message him via WhatsApp and he would magically show up quickly with the vehicle. It was very stress free. I would recommend Bali Smile Tours for a private driver charter. They are responsive and professional. If you are lucky, you get a tour guide like Adhi as a bonus. He made the entire day a delightful journey of beautiful sights and learning.

We had a lovely day with our guide Uncle Ketoot. Temples, waterfall, rice fields.. Thanks to our guide, we learned a lot about Balinese customs. It was very interesting. We recommend it.

We had a fantastic time being driven by Ketoot, who was an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide for the day. He was able to craft a wonderful day out of the possible locations/itineraries our group of 4 had listed out, and offered fascinating insights into the history and cultural context for each site we visited, while also being a charismatic and engaging speaker and companion for the day. The only slight challenge for the day was that our accommodation location was not recognised by the website at the time of booking (despite being in the eligible pickup area), so we had to pick the closest villa available in the search list for our pickup location, which was a 10 minute walk away from us. This was not an issue but led to some slight confusion for the pickup, as Ketoot waited for us inside the villa gates while we stood outside, and we did not see him initially. We would highly recommend this tour (and especially Ketoot!!!) for anyone wanting an efficient and enjoyable way to explore various attractions and sites in a short period of time.

What a wonderful experience we had. We were allowed to go away with Komang for a day. He has done everything and more to make the day unforgettable. He thought along and gave ideas to make the day even more fun and efficient. The tour was great, the good guide more than finished it. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone!
