Baldi Hot Springs Arenal-vulkaan Fortuna-waterval vanuit San José

My partner and I were the only 2 people on this tour! We were shocked when our guide pulled up to our hotel in his own car and told us to get in, one in the front seat and the other in the back seat right side. I thought it odd but at 5:40 am I didn’t or couldn’t argue. On the left side of the back seat was his backpack and belongings, not in the trunk! This was a very long ride and I couldn’t hear his comments about our trip, what we were seeing, time for each segment, etc. When I said that I couldn’t hear him, he was annoyed and didn’t want to repeat himself. We stopped for breakfast at a restaurant about 1 1/2 hour into the drive. We paid and sat in one section of the place and he chose to sit alone! I thought that odd too. We were supposed to see the Arenal Volcano but it was very far away and hidden by clouds! That was supposed to be 1/3 of this trip! The next activity was the Fortuna Waterfalls. It was a steep walk down, a few minutes of views and picture taking and then an extremely difficult walk back up! He went with us, encouraged us to go slow and offered to take photos of us. We moved on to a quick coconut water stop and then to the Baldi Hot Springs. When we arrived there and started to check in, our guide told us that he had to leave due to something we didn’t understand. We were then left alone to figure things out on our own. He did text me the name and license plate number of the guy who was now going to pick us up and drive us back to San Jose. We were told we could get a locker for our belongings, spend an hour or so in the pools, be ready for lunch at 1 and get picked up at 3. It got worse from here. The attendant who gave out keys to the lockers was gone to lunch for 30 minutes and there was no one at the window to replace him for that time. Because we had no key to a locker and our time was shortened by not having a place to safely stow our clothes, bags, wallets etc. we had to drag everything with us. This shortened our pool time to 45 minutes as we had to be showered and dressed and at lunch at 1 pm. Our new driver arrived at 2:45 and we were ready. The drive back to San Jose took 3 and 1/2 hours, almost 4 hours! What a disappointing day!

We woke up early morning at 05:00 am just for this company to tell us they had to cancel at the last minute instead of lmessaging us the night before horrible communication .

This multi-experience tour was a lot of fun! The tour guide, Johan, was the best. He adjusted our tour when bad weather impacted our original itinerary. We saw the La Fortuna waterfall, soaked in the Baldi hot springs, and ended the day with a chocolate/coffee tour. Breakfast and lunch were great! We thoroughly enjoyed everything, and highly recommend this tour.

The tour was great and so was our driver Yohan. We went to the waterfall, stopped for some coconuts and got to stay at the Baldi springs for 3-4 hours.

The pros: Johan was an amazing tour guide, knowledge and helpful. The food was amazing, our tour guide went above and beyond for us. Found us sugar cane to chew on. Lol amazing! Things to note before you book: Baldi hot springs are a resort style pools. Beautiful but, did not know what to expect. The waterfall is hard to get down and come back up, but it is doable slowly. Other than that I would recommend it!

I had an amazing experience on this Costa Rica tour. The Hot Springs were incredibly relaxing, and I appreciated that we weren’t rushed, allowing us to truly unwind. The breakfast restaurant was fantastic, offering delicious food paired with stunning views. Seeing Arenal Volcano from a distance was a treat, but the highlight for me was La Fortuna Waterfall—it truly lived up to my expectations. Our driver and guide were both very friendly and made the trip even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic and well-organized tour that I’d highly recommend!

The Baldi hot springs were amazing - our lady tour guys were quiet at first yet coming back they talked a lot about the area and we learned a lot

Be aware that rain and rainy season can dampen your plans at the waterfall. Other than that it was an amazing tour!!! We still got to see the waterfall and walk down to it, but we were not allowed to swim in it. Our tour guide said that sometimes the rain can cause the park to close completely. So keep that in mind but I highly recommend this tour. If you get there early tho before the rain begins in afternoons you’ll most likely get to see and do energy with the waterfall. The guide was knowledgeable and nice. He talked when needed to talk and gave info. Great driver. You have to trust them on those roads, especially if it’s raining. Super helpful and patient with us too especially at the water fall climb back up with my mom. At Baldi hot springs, he told us take our time and enjoy and let him know when we were ready. No time constraints there, So we spent a lot of time there and enjoyed massages at the spa. The place he took us for lunch was absolutely amazing!!! So if you get to go there on your tour you will NOT be disappointed. It was beautiful and the food was soooooooo good. I got an additional drink that wasn’t included and let’s say it’s worth it to get it! Baldi hot springs was the highlight of my trip to Costa Rica. It is a must to do this tour. Everything I wanted to do was in this tour. Rain also affected visibility of the Arenal volcano, but there is a view of it at Baldi that is to die for, so we ended up still being able to see it. I’m super happy with my experience on the tour. Pick up and drop off went off without fail! I highly recommend.

The hot springs have slides , it was fun for my child. It started pouring rain but still very fun! Aye tours very professional
